Rainbow Factory was pretty good. i'm usually not one for grimdark, but it was really well written. Then of course there's a friend for derpy hooves. That one always brings manly tears to my eyes.

I'm glad Fallout Equestria finally ended. I love the story, but I was getting a little tired of waiting months to find out how a cliff hanger was resolved. I do love the story though. The ending was happy and tragic at the same time; that really fits the tone of the story.

I really liked Circle of Friends too even though its the only fanfic I have read. It really made me have some Manly tears.

 

I don't think there's such thing as "manly tears"...all sense of manliness was lost the moment we came to like a show meant for little girls, but hey, it doesn't matter anymore.

 

I'm surprised none of you guys said "One Night in Manehattan" was even near the top five you've read! That story was brilliantly written, but gets so little traffic it amazes me.

A fanfic I've been following is Not My Destiny. Twilight turns into an Alicorn one day, but with the destiny that she's supposed to destroy the world. Everyone tries their best to avert this, but a darkness deep inside her awakens. Luna has to reawaken Nightmare Moon just for her and Celestia to be evenly matched.

Though i genraly avoid grimdark stuff, ive gotten really into Fallout: Equestria! I find its twisted version on the whole show kinda funny and i love Fallout. Its also not realisticly belivable enough to mentaly scar you and ruin certain charater for you... unlike some stories, i hear.
