Is anyone familiar with the fluffy pony subcommunity?

@@Dattebayo, @, if that stuff's getting to you, just remember that it's a picture that came out of someone's brain. They want it to make you feel sick and twisted and helpless, but in truth, all it means is that some sadist on the internet has a thoroughly screwed up mind. That's all. 

I only feel... confused? What kind of person creates things like this?

 

And why does it seem oddly like something out of an alternate-universe version of Saw? She cannot save her children or even move towards them, if those leg things are the stumps from amputation. (I'd like to assume it was done for a medical reason, though ten bucks says it was done for the lulz.) She cannot save her babes. She is too fat to fly. Those creature babies inside the jar are screaming and panicking, possibly voiding their bowels out of fear and terror as they either scramble to the top to avoid drowning in their own waste product, or scratch at the jar's sides as if they believe they could break out of it.

 

I once accidentally saw a different piece of fluffy art. There was a father, two babies, and two hamster-water-feeders. One was labeled water, and the other was labelled with a Corrosive Acid sign. The father(I think it was the father? It was a while ago, it could have been the mother. If so, that's even worse, since the "We need something to drink" excuse is revealed that she actually wanted something to drink and was willing to risk her kids to get it) insisted that both babies must drink from the two water bottles, one each, so then and only then could she know with absolute certainty that one if filled with water and the other with "Buwny wawa". At least with that one, there was a point. At least with that one, the parent could have bit the bullet and tried both herself. Or tasted both with the tip of her tongue, instead of letting them risk pain or death so she doesn't have to. Or she could pick the one she liked the least, and have that one try both bottles, or just use the good bottle if they find the good bottle first.

 

Here, there is no point, no solution, no obvious way to solve the puzzle in time, no trick obvious to all except the characters. Here, she is stuck, helpless, only able to beg and cry and be useless as her children slowly drown in their own Jarate. There is no puzzle here. There is no solution. Upon reflection, this is no longer confusing. This is just... sad.

And @, I guess what I'm trying to say is that we don't have to approach this like you'd approach a book or a TV show, or a movie like Saw, imagining that these questionable things were real. They aren't, they're just someone's fantasy, so when I think of it psychologically not hypothetically, I feel better. And that's me.

I have seen a few images of fluffy ponies before. I have to say, it's pretty messed up stuff. 

Heck, I have seen an image of Doomguy ripping and tearing fluffy ponies' guts out. Why?

I wouldn't mind so much if it was done interestingly or artistically or even cleverly, but this is just... sad. And yet a quickly glance at the fluffy website reveals that this is actually high-quality for them, since most of their art has the creatures beaten, tortured and eventually killed for fun.

 

The other half of the site shows either cute fluffies being cute and being owned by a good owner, or annoying brats owned by an idiot who finds them too adorable to punish.

As memes evolve they seem to produce a lot of weird nonsensical stuff. This stuff is a good example.

 

Seriously, think about all the weird steps that would have been involved of one thing inspiring another to reach this point.

Aside from Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing On Rainbows I'd never heard of this, especially the torture part of it. I mean, I like Happy Tree Friends because it's just so incredibly gruesome, but these things seem mean-spirited just to be mean and nasty, not in a darkly humorous kind of way. I'll stick to regular MLP, I think.

I did know about the fluffy pony phenomenon and I also kind of knew that there'd be some kind of abuse involved. Though before googling it now I didn't know the images would be just that gross.  I really don't know what to feel.

Came across them while looking through MSM reports on bronies. Sadly a lot of people think the fluffy pony community and the brony fandom are the same, and so hatred becomes more rationalized in the eyes of the internet trolls.

I really don't get the point of this at all.

Weird they call it "Fluffy Pony," as if that was the main point. There are plenty of fans who prefer the Ponies to have more "floof" than what G4 provided.

I can't determine if the whole point of this was to create a place where people could have self-indulgent torture fantasies, or if that's sort of a biproduct of the original intent. Fallout Equestria is plenty violent, and bloody, but also has a very deep, emotional, and thought-provoking story. The general premise of this "Fluffy Pony" universe seems deeply rooted in classic sci-fi of a similar nature; such as the works of Isaac Asimov and Michael Crichton. It calls to mind images from "The Second Renaissance" from the Animatrix collection. Remember the "Flesh-Faire" scene in A.I.? Also... what about Sweetiebot? Her story runs pretty close to the themes presented here, which seem to be getting regarded here as an abomination; yet she's just as much of a staple of the core MLP fandom as Flufflepuff or Buttonmash. Despite being non-CANON, everyone cares for her, and there's an actual robotic companion in development inspired by the concept (presumably without missile launchers).
