How do you organize your mind?

My mind is swift, focused, and brilliant, and I do have a tulpa.

I was dead until the moment I met you. I was a powerless corpse pretending to be alive. Living without power, without the ability to change my course, was akin to a slow death. Well done!  I've been trying to get to that state all of my life.  I sometimes reach that level, but for the most part am aspiring to it, not quite reaching it.

Robert Benchley (early 20 century writer) said he was a procrastinator & could only get things done by pretending he was actually supposed to be doing something else & was goofing off by doing it.

Personally, I go w James Thurber's essay "Let Your Mind Alone".  I'd post a link but I'm a dinosaur & IDK how.

I see no use for the method of Ioci unless you're like, studying anatomy or something. I also think it's pretty much unfalsifiable because firstly, mind related things always are, and secondly would be that there can be no telling whether your memory wouldn't've worked just the same without some sort of spatial recognition / memory 'technique'.

That out of the way......priorities. Modelling "mind" as "algorithm", the short or even long range tasks of your mind are nothing more than laundry lists you should order and reshuffle going by urgency. Same also goes for all decision-making, in which the urgency also leads to a hierarchal order of parameters.

I guess I would say that my mind is very logical and visual. I usually plan stuff out.

My mind also likes HAS to know how/why stuff works. That is a BIG the reason why I got dragged into this MLP stuff.

My brain was like WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH THIS AND WHY!?!?!?!?:wau:

Wait... I'm supposed to organize it?  :ooh:

XD

I've referred to my brain as a big box of little bouncy balls that were thrown onto a downhill street. They're bright, they're colorful, they're ALL over the place, and you'll never find them all. Ever.  :muffins:

Looks like this:

It's hard to organize my thoughts because they come and go so quickly... I have ADHD big time, so my brain can be hard to get control of...

Usually I write down my thoughts when I need to focus and make a decision. It helps me see the pieces that usually fly all over the place, so I can put them together. :3 (this is also why I journal very often) Sometimes I'll connect things with music too, or certain daydreams...

I'm currently working on a Tulpa even though I have next to no time to actively force. I'm narrating all the time, though.

Before I started that I used to just write down my thoughts. It helped me spot errors in my logic (it still does, really.) Other than that, I don't really do much organizing since I don't like visual aids (ha bloody ha) like mind maps.

I try to join things up so I have one big picture instead of lots of little unorganized pieces...

Usually with priorities. If it starts running wild I try to restrain it and focus on what's important or correcting myself.

We have two ears and one mouth, so we should listen more than we say.

I have really bad short-term memory, so I have to organize things in a way that associates everyday stuff with the things I love most and I always have a connection that keeps it clear in my head.

MINDS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ORGANIZED?!!?

That overexaggeration wasn't a joke. Reading this topic title is the first I had heard of it! (Heck, I just scrolled up to the top of the page just to- {Just did again!} re-remember what I was talking about!) It had always been my perception that minds worked because their disorganization! And surely, the thought had never once crossed my mind before. If I interpret the present memory as the only experience with it, then surely it is the only example.

I am a man of Instinct! I do what is needed when it is required. Why would I exercise? I'm not currently being chased by a hangry bear; I'll run when its needed.

My mind is a vast, swirling vortex! From which I pluck but strands of inspiration & brilliant, blinding cords of thought! Thus the stirring of which hath become froth from a singular point of obsession! I. Don't. Forget. Anything! To lose an idea is the destruction of thought; whole worlds hinge upon each sentence & stirring of creativity!!

So what did we have for breakfast today? Have we even eaten dinner yet?

...Well, somethings things are, like, on the far side of the hurricane of thought. Ain't gone, just not visable currently.

Do have a tulpa though! Despite that I've never looked up what that word means!! I'm pretty sure I know dead-on what it is. Looking up the definition would only deflate my ego own perception.

Wait! Tulpas are supposed to guide & help ORGANIZE?!!? Well, Jenkies, behind on that tasklist!

Edit: (See?) I did, as a child... spend a lot of time in my own head. For reasons I'm sure a lot of you can guess. Thoughts & understanding have always been important, but ungraspable for me. That being said, I used to have this trick of just conceptualizing 3D shapes in my head & slowly rotating them around to work prespective. I ought get back into that habit, it'd help LOADS with my drawing practice!!

Beatings & Salivations Everybeing!   Creativity is something blatantly important to me as is no doubt evidenced by the 28 OCs I have posted here of the some forty plus I have, they're linked altogether at the bottom of my About Me page in my Profile & I would deeply cherish anything you wish to say about them! Among which of those I am proudest most of is my Draconequusona, His/My Ask Thread  and my Hydra, Gallimaufry or "Mauf" and their own Ask Thread!  Either way, sufficed to say, I am quite confident I have more OCs than you! Crazier to! Do You have a tatzelpony?! No, I rather think you don't! Hew-Hew-hew!
