What would you do if MLP:FiM was cancelled?

That depends. Sudden cancellation without any warning or closure would hurt and piss me off. Since it's kind of a cash cow franchise however, in part thanks to us, I don't think a real cancellation will happen. The series and G4 will end one day, and the final ep will hurt, but I'm sure it will end on a hopeful note. That episode/movie will probably always get to me, but it would be a good way to end.

 

In the end, I would just move on with my life, probably get back into the Pokemon fandom where I originally come from. Before MLP all fragments of idealism I still possess were there, anyway.

 

Everything ends and that's okay. If it's a good ending you can always think back on it fondly. But I swear that if they put a clip show in the final of the generation I will break.

Honestly, I wouldn't be depressed too much. Brony community has made so much fanfics, songs, and other stuff with ponies that's often more dramatical, instructive, and various. Hasbro has created this universe, but as long as the show designed for little girls and they have to keep it within the bounds, it will never be serious enough, but fan-works could easily compensate it.

I suppose it would depend on why it was cancelled and when. All good things have to come to an end eventually, and I would much rather see the show end on a high note sooner rather than witness it go on for a decade and watch it lose its charm and magic through exhaustion of ideas. As it stands, I think the show's quality is still going pretty strong, but it may not bode that well forever, and if that happens, I would much rather see it end before it goes the route of say, SpongeBob or other well-known and long-running cartoons that spanned many seasons and were drowned in mediocrity after a certain length of time. I can't see FiM ever getting that bad per se, but I think there will come a time where it will need to bow out gracefully or else its "legacy will be tainted," so to speak.

 

I don't foresee a cancellation anytime soon when the show's popularity is still at such a high, and the show is taking new and interesting directions while staying fresh, fun, and enjoyable for all viewers, so thankfully I don't feel like I have to worry about its future at this time. If and when the show does see its end, I will be sad to see it go, especially if it ends abruptly and without proper closure, but no matter what, I will continue living life and loving the series and its fandom for all it did to enrich my life. As Dr. Seuss once said, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."

I'd still enjoy all the amazing seasons we have had! Probably end up getting the collection on DVD along with some more merch, then put in on my shelves with all the other shows I so dearly enjoy that've gone by the wayside (star trek TNG, BS Galactica, Firefly etc)  Gone but definetly not forgotten ^^

I would be sad, but not that much. All shows have to end at somepoint. I would just hope that the fandom wouldn't start to die afterwards (I have started to realize that I like the fandom more than I like the show).
