Favorite Species of Pony and Why?

My personal favorite would be unicorn; I love the use of magic and such. 

 

Here's my standings:

 

1. Unicorn

2. Pegasus

3. Earth

4. Alicorn (No, I'm not one of those people against Cadance or Twilight; I don't even think an alicorn automatically make a pony a mary sure either.)

Indeed; if an author can give an alicorn OC an interesting personality as well as OP-blockers, then "Mary Sue" territory can be averted.

 

In fact, someone actually wrote a story about a human-turned-alicorn whose OP-ness actually manifests as a curse which causes everypony within a certain range to practically worship him. Eventually, after he almost gives in to Brainwashed!Fluttershy's advances, he can't take it anymore, and surrenders himself to Celestia (the only one immune) for experimentation on how to take away his OP curse (She succeeds, turning him into a unicorn who's slightly less powerful than Twilight; however, the process is excruciating, and very nearly kills him). Next problem: making peace with everypony formerly affected by the OP curse, since they were aware the whole time, and thus came to see him as a villain.

 

The story is called, "Consequences Of Unoriginality," btw, and it's currently unfinished on FIMFiction.

That actually sounds rather interesting. I did manage to find the story and I added it to my favorites; I'll probably read it later. I'm guessing it's pretty good?

Well even tho Unicorns get the most benifits, i still prefer Pegasi,they can simply relax and have fun the most. And i dont like how most unicorns act, they seem to be mostly snoobs. And who wouldn't want to fly and live on clouds

Alicorn. They have traits from all ponies (Except crystal), and they can do pretty much anything. Plus, Luna and Twilight are alicorns, and they're awesome.

My favorite would be the unicorn. While pegasi have those awesome wings, and earth ponies have a nice and simple design, unicorns are my favorite. I like how their horns go with their special talents, and they look nice as well.

Unicorn, because I've hated every Pegasus in this show and Magic is so much more useful than just being able to fly. Plus you can make your own wings. Crystal Ponies are just translucent earth ponies and Earth Ponies are lame. Alicorn...I like them but that should only belong to the Princesses. I'm against the idea of a new alicorn just popping up out of nowhere.

 

In truth, Unicorn the only good choice.

I cant really vote on this one. I like each and every pony spices they all have good qualities but, I do have a softer spot for the Pegasi. I think the ability to fly, manipulate weather, and walk on clouds is awesome.

Pegasus is my choosen race. Be able fly into the nothing suspended by my wings, accelerating more and more to get my dreams with an awesome speed.

Everytime I have a dream, I turn it into a lucid one to make appear some angelic wings on my back, as well as the ground under my feets dissapear.

That sense of freedom, the wind hitting me harder and harder as I fly faster and faster, it feels totally amazing!

Pegasus. Other than going sonic speed, as that is my top wish, flying is just under that. So, if I could have my second dream come true, I'd accept. To soar through the skies and have freedom would be amazing. MLP wise, you could sleep on the clouds, live in Cloudsdale, and like others mentioned change the weather. :3

Crystal pony has the least votes. I think all ponies are really special in their own way, but crystal ponies have to be the coolest. Crystal ponies that use their happiness together for power against the bad (they are awesome!). They are nice to look at as well, they are crystal ponies after all, it only makes sense.

I have to say unicorn. Magical creatures and magic in general make up some of my favorite books and Fandoms. I did have a close call with choosing Pegasis just because I like that they can control the weather and such. Not that ground ponies aren't awesome too

I would personally be a Unicorn, just the magic would be something I would love to have, and has much more potential then just having wings or just more strength or something like that.

 

Magic would be a great replacement for hands, and is great for doing lots of things.

 

And me personally would prefer to teleport then be able to fly. I'm used to not flying in this world so that's why I would be a unicorn.

I liek to go fast, and  the thought of having wings is awesome. In the mountain bike world, you essentially "fly" down some trails(sometimes upwards of 50-60Kmp/h (30-40Mph)...my personal best is 51.2Kmph. which is why mountain bikes have large disc brakes, to stop at that speed.and you also have features like huge jumps and "catching air"

 

 

So yea, Pegasi all the way.

 

 

PS: Hitting a tree on a mountain bike SUCKS.

Pegasus. I'd love to fly. sure, unicorns can give themselves wings, but that requires learning spells and work.

As for alicorn, look how much it took for twilight to get there. again, learning and work. I suppose if it was as much an option as the other two, I'd go with alicorn. I voted pegasus though.

I like earth ponies a lot but if I was a pony I'd probably want to be a unicorn. I'm too afraid of heights, but I would like to have some sort of cool ability. Magic is cool.

Even though everyone is either choosing to be a pegasus or a unicorn, I would actually like to be an earth pony just for the simple reason that I don't really have a desire, nor a use, for wings or magic.

Earth pony. Somehow I think they are not only nature and street smart, they're also more of the "common pony" who's technically holding up all of Equestria on food and actually, industry. We see some earth ponies from the Apple family fly a metal-clad airship, Pinkie Pie using a bicycle helicopter.

 

Think about it. Earth ponies are the ones that mainly maintain a train, construct buildings, and food production. Simply put, they're like humans, who doesn't use magic nor wings to get by. They use their knowledge.t

 

The pegasi would have had serious lack of food without the help of Earth Ponies, and unicorns, even if they had the equal power of Twilight, still would be unable to conjure enough food for everypony.

 

Runner up is the Crystal Pony. Five of my OCs are Earth ponies or Crystal Ponies.
