Why do anti-bronies call us the "cancer of the Internet"?

What an utterly vile thread this is. Back from 2015 you have one guy calling anti-bronies "cyber terrorists" - for the record, terrorists blow up 22 kids outside of an Ariana Grande concert, they don't waste their time hurting the feelings of random people on the internet. Then you have one guy saying that people hate child molesters "just because they can". This is just... wow.

And to respond to the anti-brony that revived this thread... it's hard to disagree regarding the porn. You'll find fan-art and animations created in the ample spare time of adults for just about anything you can be a fan of but the pony porn really does cross a big red line in that there are kids who watch this show who could very easily run into that stuff. Not to mention that they're horses, so it's bestiality, and the fact that they're from a children's show throws more than a hint of pedophilia in there.

Clop (so many people are into it that they have a creepy little name for it) is without a doubt the biggest problem this fandom has, image-wise and generally. Years ago I was on another forum and one guy who was super-into MLP was run off the site when someone else accused him of being into clop. In retrospect there was no evidence of that but I think that illustrates beautifully the reaction that normal people have to pony porn and there's no reason why bronies shouldn't have the same reaction. We need to seriously stigmatize that shit and we need to do it yesterday. We should have been stigmatizing it from the beginning but I guess people took the "love and tolerance" motto a little too far, tolerating what should have been deemed intolerable.

That reminds me of how I've heard that some people didn't want to give the show a chance since the fandom can sometimes force pony content everywhere which makes it kind of irritating at times. At least that has toned down a bit nowadays though? Well, what do I know.

It's all fine not to like a show but actively hating on something just for the sake of hating goes a bit too far in my opinion. The active haters (meaning those who deliberately spread hate on sites that are made for a specific fandom for example, not ones that just don't enjoy something) could probably ease their salt by doing something they genuinely care about instead. I'd imagine the constant hate spewing isn't very fulfilling.

Bronies are considered cancer due to 4chan popularizing the MLP Gen 4 phenomenon.

You guys do indeed follow the mantra of "Love and Tolerate", but honestly "Respect and Tolerate" should be the actual mantra the Fandom must adhere to since it is accurate to what MLP Gen 4 is all about.

Then there's of course the 'minorities' (aka Cloppers) that give a bad name to the Brony Fandom in which people are justified in their position to hate everything about this phenomenon. I wouldn't mind so much if some of these minorities aren't such loudmouths in the first place. I would be grateful if the minorities just keep their... artistic tastes to themselves since a lot of people are indeed sensitive to such subject matters e.g. Porn, Homicide, Senseless Grotesque Violence, Incest, Pedophilia/Hebephilia, Beastiality etc. Unfortunately some of them don't listen while others are trolls who deliberately pretend to be in this Fandom to st on your 'legacy' and pervert it for all the ignorant masses.

Bronies are simply among the misunderstood Fandoms alongside Dungeons and Dragon Fans, Trekkies, Furries, Otakus (except Weeaboos those guys are terrible anime fans that give the Anime fandom a bad rep) and CheeseHeads etc.

Some people like me just wish to understand the madness within these fandoms so we can overcome our hatred for you all. Haters gonna Hate but some of us don't want to.

No it isn't. I don't like clop, but it is hardly as big a deal as you are making it out to be. Unless you are actively searching for it the chances of you running into it are not that high. There is a probably a whole place to look at Star Trek and Star Wars porn if one wants to, but unless you want to see it you are pretty safe. The biggest problem this fandom has is the whole screaming that they are somehow different for liking a TV show from every other fandom who likes a TV show. MLP has done some great things for people and been an inspiration for many.... but it is still just a really good TV show, not a religion.

Look, all I'm saying is that clop gives us a bad name. It's something that anti-bronies can throw at us as an example of how terrible we are, and there's no defense against it because they're right.

Generally clop is what makes me uneasy about being a fan of FiM because it feeds into a very negative stereotype that I don't want to be swept up under. It's creepy as hell and people aren't doing enough to shut it down, which gives the appearance (and possibly just represents the reality) that the average brony doesn't see anything wrong with it.

Frankly the fact that people here are outright defending clop makes it pretty damn clear that this isn't a fandom I should be part of. If the best argument they can come up with to defend it is "horses aren't horses", and they stick to that like glue, then that does a pretty beautiful job of illustrating how dead-set people are on defending the indefensible around here.

I don't think it's so much because some fans of the show are unexpected due to liking a show that isn't necessarily meant for them. I think it's really because they see us as annoying and/or creepy. Some people see and hear about the porn and gore, and see bronies shoving the fact that their grown male fans liking MLP down their throats and therefore find them to be irritating. Then again, the internet can be a good place to play up how bad something is, more than it probably really is, and hate it. The disdain isn't totally unfair or unwarranted, but I feel it's exaggerated some and people do overhate us to an extent.

 

And quite frankly I'd rather be stereotyped and despised as someone who likes MLP and being annoying and/or creepy about it, than be stereotyped for hating certain groups or being an actual terrorist that incites actual violence. It's the lesser of two negatives.

You're referring to me. Cyber trolls are cyber terrorists. Why? Because the goal of modern-day trolling is to spread fear upon a person or groups of people. The goal of terrorism is to spread fear to a person or a group of people. How it's done doesn't matter. Trolling can hurt, and trolling can kill. Even as much as one act of trolling can set someone over their psychological limit. Remember, there's a person behind that screen. We've seen this happen way too many times to count; MrEnter's review of Shane Koyczan's "Troll" highlighted a few of them. Trolling is a major problem that shouldn't be tolerated at any level.

Clop IS okay. Just because people like yourself don't like it doesn't make it inherently creepy or disgusting. We all have our own tastes. Whether you like clop or not is up to you. (And secondly, I checked nine characters through Google Search not long ago. All big-named characters. SafeSearch on. Out of maybe 2,000 images, only one could be deemed explicit under MLPF standards.)

Fluttershy: Found a Pregnant Equestrian Girl Fluttershy (or maybe she's fat who knows) and another one where she's in a hybrid Human-Pony Form stripping. 

Rarity: Found someone drawing an "interesting" picture of Rarity and Spike getting it on in their original forms, Equestrian Girl Rarity stripping, and Apparently a "seemingly sexual" Fat Rarity. (I kid you not even with the Safety Search on  )

However, don't be blind to the reality of what the minorities are truly doing in this fandom. Even with the Safe Search On, No clicking on Show More Results and just simply Google searching Images of "Rarity", "Twilight Sparkle", "Rainbow Dash", "Pinkie Pie", "Applejack", and "Fluttershy" (All typed in that way hence the double quotes) still show some disturbing pics from 1-5 instances.

So the chances of even coming across a "suggestive" image of any of the MLP characters at the first page of Google's image screen will not surprise me in the slightest since in the end of the day some minorities will never listen and some of them are just trolls deliberately pissing us off and justifying the hatred anti-bronies have for this fandom.

At least I overcame my hatred for this fandom along with the rest of them I mentioned previously on this post and don't have any desire to revisit it again. It will only draw me towards my own Death quicker.

I am an adult fan of Power Puff Girls, MLP, and many other kids movies and the like.  I carry character lunchboxes for purses, and I have never been given any problem.  Now I see people persecuted for liking a specific cartoon and I am flabbergasted.  It's ridiculous, and it seems to even cause ripples amount us. I actually left the wikia site when an administrator responded "help someone told me to kill myself because I am a brony" with "deal with it bronies are silly."   Nothing was done to the administrator.  Look what one hater managed to start here.  Let's just stick together.

On another note, bronies are not the first to create explicit fan art.  Unfortunately, years ago, I had a friend show me some compromising drawings of Belle and Lumiere (the candlestick) and Ariel. I was not impressed, and I am not going to say anymore since I don't like thinking about it. Besides, whatever someone does in the privacy of their own home, mind, etc., as long as everyone is consenting and of legal age, it's none of my business and it's nobody else's either.

And that proves what? That people have weird fetishes have all ways  had weird fetishs and will continue too do so? You can't make people not be attracted too something. If something offends you then don't go looking for it. Bronies are already a very small faction, and cloppers are even smaller.

Some hate the fact you can't find somewhere without at least one of us. Some hate the fact It's a kids show.

But seriously about the pornographic material they need to leave us alone it exist for everything. Trust me there's weirder stuff on the internet than anything pony related I guarantee you. (But I'm not gonna look for it and neither should any of you.)
