Discord! Even though he's probably not really considered a villain anymore. I love him because he does things for no real reason other than to cause chaos and trouble to those around him. But the way he does it is so funny, ie chocolate rain!  Also the love he has for Fluttershy is just too cute. Shows he is not just a trickster but has a soft side too.

I would go with Discord form the Return Of Harmony season 2 premiere.

But with Tirek as a very close second.

Discord is the most entertaining. Seriously, just watch "Glass of Water". The way he messes with the ponies and gets them all irked up is just classic. And he eventually turns somewhat good, but his character is still pretty awesome. A song has been made after him (we all know what it is of course)

I like Discord the most followed by Starlight glimmer for being the only character to ever tell Twilight to shut up, then Tirek. 

But there  is one villain that appeared in G1 but is not a villain in G4 that i like and deserves a mention it's
