How much did you hate middle school?

Middle School wasn't too bad for me, although they weren't the best years either. I got bullied a bit, my grades fell a bit, and it was a public school. But high school's much better, especially now that I go to a private school.

Hatd it. Didn't have many friends and certainly not o boyfriend. 7th grade dragged on for eternity, making 8th grade fly by in the blink of an eye, and then 9th grade I was back at the bottom as a freshman. But I think 7th grade made 8th grade the first time I started gaining a grasp on how precious time is and how short months and years can truly be. Since then Ive gone from 13 to 36 before I even knew it.

I hated it. I hated school in general.I got bullied a lot and struggled to pass since I had trouble understanding things. Being on a bunch of different antidepressants at the time didn't help. Teachers spent more time yelling at the kids always causing trouble than teaching us. I had a teacher call me stupid on multiple occasions for not understanding something.

Well we didn't have "middle school" in Ireland, we just have 8 grades of Primary School, ages between 4 - 12 or so, and 5 - 6 years of Secondary School, aged 12 - 18 or so, depending on the person. I suppose the closest to middle school is the first 3 years of Secondary School, which is known as the "Junior Certificate" - but you're in the same school as the older people and doing the same subjects - albeit less advanced, with the same teachers, so...it's all right really. Overall I look back fondly on my school years, early and later. Sure I had issues and struggled with mild depression for a time, but I got through them, and overall the good outweighs the bad

I hope some people get the joke ^^

We called 5th and 6th grade intermediate school and 7th and 8th grade was middle school.

Starting in 7th grade our class was split in half between two different school districts. I was in the half that got to go to the new, freshly built middle school. The fact that the building was brand new is about the only positive thing I can say about 7th grade. 7th grade was without a doubt the worst year of school I ever had to endure, and considering all that I had to put up with until that point, that is saying a lot. It was absolute hell.

Then something changed between 7th and 8th grade. 7th grade, for the most part, marked the end of the really bad physical bullying. People started acting more mature by the next year. 8th grade was actually pretty good, all things considered.

In 9th grade we rejoined the rest of our class at the main high school. High school was OK, not great but definitely better than sub-8th grade was.

I hated the people in middle school. I hated the teachers, the kids, the staff, the principal, the vice principal, the office people, Special's teachers, the gym teachers, the guides console. So basically I hated everything about middle school.

  • 4 weeks later...

I got bullied so much, some kids specifically spent $200 on labels with my name on it just to put it on my favorite teacher's plasma monitors.

2/10 would get depressed again

It's ok I feel you on the bullying end.  :(

Honestly, middle school was OKAY. Yeah I got made fun of and that's no fun. But it wasn't all bad. There were definitely some good times. :) Like playing flash games and listening to music in the computer room, P.E., lunch/recess, easy schoolwork (so easy), making my first friends evar, etc.

P.S. Adults should have P.E. too! Everyone becomes unfit after high school (including me) because there's no P.E. anymore! D:<

No friends at all, and all the teachers were stuck up it seemed, and didn't care about 90% of the students. The art teacher was the worse, making us all do the exact same things over and over, with no creativity allowed. She even yelled at me once for switching a color out, because I didn't like the way the image was going ._.

I actually liked middle school since I had a chance to make friends, except for one creep my parents were forcing me to be friends with that I declined. High school, however, was a mixed bag for me: I didn't care for the students there but liked the teachers, despite high school worsened my anxiety.

I didn't love it, but most of the time it was okay. In 6th and 7th grade, I didn't do too well in some of my classes, which caused stress. The middle school I went to then had the classes split into two days, 'A' and 'B.' I loved A days, as they had my best classes, but I didn't like B days so much. -_- Overall, I thought those years were okay, but stressful.

I went to a different school for 8th grade, where all the classes were in the same day, though I preferred the other one. I didn't have as much trouble with my classes that year though. I missed my other school though.

Middle school was interesting, I guess. It had it's good and bad moments, but mostly it was nice. :P

So Middle School seems to be the 6th, 7th and 8th years of school? So it's like a mix of Primary School (6th grade) and junior Secondary School (7th and 8th grades). If so, those years were awesome. Schoolwork was easy as shit and it was less serious concerning schoolwork and social stuff.

I hate both middle and high school, enough to call BS every time some one tells me those are the best years in your life. I pick college's exams over MS and HS any time  :okiedokielokie: . Though, it maybe if it wasn't in the  ghetto, it MIGHT be tad different, but judging by most comments...... maybe not  >_>

Middle school back in the day was alright , it's a little rough and ready where I lived but all in all I had decent friends etc and rarely got bullied apart from a few noobs. There was alot of good stuff as well like finding my sexuality / identity as a person and experiences I will always remember

Well, I'm a Junior in high-school now. Middle school was three years ago for me, and I must say I didn't enjoy it at all. >.>

Seventh grade was just awful, I was so scared to even leave elementary school. And all the new people from the other elementary schools were overwhelming for me, as well as walking to a different class 9 times a day. I had trouble making friends with some and one of my best friends became really distant and hasn't talked to me much since seventh grade began. Some of my teachers were very angry people. My grades also started to drop into the 70's by the end of seventh grade (and have dropped even lower in classes since). So that was a train wreck.

Eighth grade wasn't too bad, I suppose. Although my first period math teacher was extremely rude and made me feel like garbage all the time because I was having a hard time understanding some things.. I met a couple friends near the end of the year that I'm still currently friends with today which is really nice.

Now, I just want to get out of school pronto. XD
