It's always been a source of personal interest when joining new forums, seeing veteran members with many posts and others who've been around for a more moderate time with a more moderate amount of posts.  Do you bronies participate greatly in other fandoms such as this one, meaning you attend cons, post enthusiastically about specific characters and never tire of it, are they a part of your identity if you were to ask what is?  We all have others things we're fans of but what else do you go hard for.  As in, intensely, not..

:D Ahum.  And are ponies your number one or?  Tell tell.

For me, am pretty casual as far as bronies go.    Never get high post counts in forums (Though my first was most like a home.  This place like that for anyone?) but have been very active in other fandoms as far as their place in my heart goes as well as time spent on them and time interacting with other fans.  Bronies seem so very nice, though.

These forums are pretty much a second home for me. An internet home so-to-speak. I spend so much time here that many sites I used to go on are kinda....not on my radar anymore. I used to be part of many different forums, specifically gaming forums, a forum promotion site where I was staff at and others, but now, these forums is where I go for my social interaction online.

As for the fandom question, this is the main fandom I am apart of, never before have I joined a fandom and had so much passion about it. So saying it is my number one is pretty much stating the obvious I guess. : P I think I am part of other fandoms, but not intensely.

Well, I used to be part of a Gran Turismo forum until I was banned. (Which I still question to this day) I went looking for a new "base" online since I don't use anything like Facebook or Twitter. I remembered I had an account here and logged back in. Other forums I run around on is the Project CARS public forum, WMD 2 (which is private), iRacing and RaceDepartment.

As far as fandoms go, even though I consider sim-racing to be a hobby than a fandom, that's been my #1 thing, pony has been 2nd.

Fandoms:

- Pretty Cure & Lyrical Nanoha (late 2013-present): I'm sort of a member of the (very small, at least in the West) Pretty Cure and Lyrical Nanoha fanbases. For both franchises, I've seen most of the series, made up headcanons, and have even read some of the manga. Honestly, I kind of just came upon those series and just got...hooked...it's hard to explain. Unfortunately, the obscure nature of these series outside of Japan makes online discussion difficult; I know there are small and tightly-knit Tumblr, 4chan, and LiveJournal communities, but that's it as far as I can tell. Maybe it's because outside of Sailor Moon and the dark/edgy series (Madoka namely,) good luck trying to find a good place for discussion.

- Sonic (2008-2011): Well, I used to be part of this fanbase. I still keep up with developments in the franchise, but I don't have Sonic OCs anymore, I don't have headcanons, I no longer have any of the games, and I do have some of the comic books but don't actively read them.

Forums: Aside from this forum, I use two others.

- TVNewsTalk.net (2009-present): As my user profile indicates, I'm a bit of a news junkie - someone who likes the intricate details of TV station news, including graphics, music, anchors, ownership, and so on. Being a fan of all that, why not join a forum filled with people who like the same stuff? I kid you not, my YouTube channel is populated with fake intros for TV stations ("mocks"), and I've even participated in two "fantasy television games" - online games where you can own, buy, upgrade, and run television and radio stations. I don't participate on TVNT as much as I used to, but I still use the site.

- City-Data (2014-present): After lurking on the forum for two years, I finally joined the site in the middle of 2014. City-Data is ostensibly a real estate and relocation guide, but it's the enormous discussion forum that draws most visitors' attention. Most of my posts are in the Atlanta forum (I live here, after all,) the Elections forum, and "Other Topics" (which is like the Everfree Forest in content). C-D is filled with...interesting...individuals, but the Politics and Elections forums are filled with rage-inducing users instead. I still like the site regardless.

I also like to lurk on AmericanWX, which is a weather enthusiasts' forum and computer model site. I love that site, as it's filled with hobbyists and actual meteorologists from NWS offices and TV stations, providing their input on various systems, active weather patterns, and so on. There are banter threads for off-topic tomfoolery, though. I have an account there, but I only used it to access the site's computer model data.

My main fandom is the Pokemon fandom and MLP is my second fandom after it, I suppose I'm sort of still a member of the Sonic fandom too though I have little involvement with it these days.

As for forums the main forum I post regularly on is the pokemon forum Bulbagarden, I'm called Rainbow Cloud there too and spend most of my time on the internet there, my activity on other sites including this one often suffers as as a result of the time I spend there.

The second forum I visit most often now is MLPF.

The other forums I used to visit regularly in the past are now all dead and gone sadly.

At this point in time I use BZPower (a bionicle fan site) and have a whole youtube channel dedicated to bionicle. I've tried other forums (mainly gaming related) but just can't get into them. I am considering joining toonzone though.

No matter how hard I try these ponies will simply never leave me.

I'm in a variety of forums throughout my internet career that I'll post.

http://gameonlive.tv/ - They had moved to Xenforo after something happened, I dunno what.

http://sonicresearch.org/community/index.php - The SSRG, which is the Sonic Stuff Research Group, also migrated to Xenforo recently after the major fuck up that is Invision Power Board, meaning multiple posts have happened when it wasn't supposed to.

And finally,

http://forums.denverbroncos.com/index.php - Here I frequent the Talkin' Smack forum.

Your resident Sonic the Hedgehog fan. Props to Laika for the sig.

I am on the Land of Ooo forums (Adventure Time/Steven Universe), but not nearly as active as on here.

I'm more into SU than MLP honestly. But this place is my forum home, I really like it here. ^^

The only forum I'm in is this one. I've used a few other forums for things like online game guilds, but unfortunately they didn't last very long.

As for fandoms, I'm in a few others aside from MLP: Pokémon, anime, furry and the FGC (Fighting Game Community) to some extent, too. For a long time I was also part of the Team Fortress 2 community, but I kinda drifted away from that one.

I used to be on starmen.net, the earthbound community, last century.

A couple years ago I was on an mturk board (amazon crowdsourcing), and there was a gentleman who had fluttershy as his avatar. First time I heard the term brony. I thought he was craaazy, because what sane adult male would have a pretty pony from a cartoon show as his avatar... :please: heh heh

I've also been on actor boards in the past, but I tend to keep to myself when it comes to my entertainment career.

I go on youtube a lot and watch peanutbuttergamer and every episode of Game Theory.

As far as forums go, other than this one I usually frequent Nintendo Fan Forums and Rogue Mages, those those two aren't as active as they used to be. I also use Nintendo Life and lurk the Destructoid Forums(also known as Outer Heaven). I kinda want another pony forum to frequent though

As far as fandoms go...too many to count

Aside from this forums, I have joined Pokestadium Forums (a Pokemon site, if you hadn't guessed), The Squidboards Forums (a Splatoon discussion website), and the Bell Tree Forums (an Animal Crossing site). I don't spend half as much time hanging around any of those forums than I do her, however. I used to spend most of my time on he Pokestadium Forums, until a lot of my closest friends there began to quit, though. I have joined many other sites similar to the four I'm on, but my accounts are mostly inactive due to me forgetting my password or something like that. :P Other fandoms I am in are listed on my 'About Me' page. :)

I used to be very active on an Advanceshipping forum (I had more posts there than the admin himself did), but it died long ago. Nowadays, this is the only forum on which I'm really active even though I do post on some subreddits. Since this forum is so active I like to hang out here from time to time. Every time I do, I post in a lot of topics and then disappear for quite some time to give new topics to show up.

As for other fandoms:

- RWBY

- Gravity Falls

- Pokemon

- K-ON

- Hajime no Ippo

- A lot of others I can't think of right now.

This is about the only forums site I come to. I've been to others here and there, but I stick to this one.

To be totally honest, I'm not even that huge in to MLP. I don't like discussing the show, but I enjoy hanging around like-minded people. And the community here is large enough that there is plenty of content being posted to stay interested, but it's small enough to be a bit more intimate than places like reddit. Besides, I prefer the atmosphere of the forums format better. I think it's because there's a lot more things you can do to personalize your profile.

I stopped watching the show a while ago...

  • 2 years later...

I've been on GameFAQs for a while, but I don't really post that much. I spend most of my time reading guides and reader reviews.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.
