general Liberal or Conservative?

I am liberal, being a guy that taken in lots of different studies I feel conservatism holds us back on some subjects and slows our progress to work with other human beings on social issues present in our world, when I was little I would have said no homosexuals but as I have grown I see that they are rather welcoming people who just have a different orientation from others and its reasonable, no harm done, I feel for requirements about abortions, not total outright rejections and I believe all religions should be acknowledge when it comes to make a massive political choice.

I don't really identify as "Liberal/Progressive" or "Conservative" because, when it comes to certain issues, I can range from left to right.

For example, I'm a supporter of single-payer healthcare, a position generally considered to be Liberal or center-left (if you're outside of the U.S.). But, with immigration, I'm a supporter of border enforcement with a path to citizenship for qualifying immigrants, a position generally considered to be either Conservative-leaning or Centrist.

Socially, I'm a bit of a centrist. I am in favor of things like LGBT marriage, but I can't stand identity politics and political correctness.

Fiscally, I'm firmly on the right and in favor of a free market. I am against an interventionist foreign policy and overly strict immigration laws. I prefer voluntary charity to the welfare state.

Above all, I prefer to describe myself as a minarchist right-libertarian.

I'm in middle ground, but I'm a bit leaning towards liberalism. I think liberalism to a point is positive, but if it's taken to social justice warriors point, that's only good being used as toilet paper

I'd prefer "mankind is a social creature and we need to work together and forget about money, nationhood, religion, race etc. (at least for now) if we want to survive as a species on an ever increasingly hostile planet".

I consider myself mostly liberal. However, I can't really align with any political party. Too many politicians seem to be working for their own gain rather than what they claim to represent. There are also some issues where I fall in between.

I also feel it's too common these days to have an excessively strict definition for what constitutes a liberal or a conservative. People are individuals, not stereotypes.

I'm would put myself as a right leaning libertarian. I believe in limited intervention in the economy and in people. Generally I just want a free market and a free people to live life how they choose and have the means to. So I would want a reduction in federal government spending and oversight and let the states and Constitution do the rest.

Fairly simple in concept I could expand upon if asked.

Well I guess after taking this political test that some of the people decided to post I guess I come close to being a Liberal though I rarely if ever adhere to most of the liberal values.

I have conservative values that I adhere die-hard to. I don't see a problem with people practicing traditions as long as that tradition itself values peace for humanity. If that tradition values chaos, it should be considered as a threat to Humanity e.g. Female Infanticide from the Pre-Arabia Days, Roman Tradition of Caring for the Sick n Elderly, and Honor Killings.

 

All in all, I rather consider myself as an Independent Absolute Truth-Seeking Moderate.

 

EDIT: I took the test again just to see if this 8 value political test is BS. Seems ok I suppose since I come close to either being a Liberal or a Centrist.

Pro gun, pro freedom speech ,stay the f**k out of my life government and f**k corporations. I'm an atheist so my ultimate beilif is that the government should stay the f**k out of our personal lives. I also have socialist and anarchist tendencies. To be honest I'd much prefer an anarachist socetey, but probs won't happen.

These are my results for a poltical spectrum quiz I took. Also looked up some anarchy types and I guess I lean towards Individualist Anarchism.

I consider myself more liberal, personally. But to be honest, I don't like political parties. THE INDIVIDUAL CANDIDATE MATTERS MORE TO ME THAN THEIR PARTY DOES. 

There are people in both parties that are bad, and there are people in both parties that are good. 

And there are plenty of conservative views I agree with, too.

Once again, I'll vote for a candidate I like, regardless of their party. 

 

But politics aren't my thing. 

I'd much rather talk about ponies.

If you want to be technical, I'm neither (I'd be a "Libertarian Socialist" or something like that. I'm pretty far left on economics, I'm almost anti-war, and I believe the government has no right to restrain my rights without a GOOD reason). But by the commonly used definitions, I guess I'd be a liberal. 

As for who I agree with a lot in politics: I agree with Bernie and Noam Chomsky's views politically, for the most part. I hate both the Democratic and Republican parties of the United States. Neither of them really represents the people as I know them (though a lot of them say they like Republicans, they don't realize what goes on under the table for Democrats happens with Republicans also. As often, if not even more often, than it does with the Democrats).
