Moved to Elsewhere 11,331 May 21, 2016 Share May 21, 2016 This is a great episode. I'm in the minority that doesn't particularly care for many Rairty episodes. They're far from bad episodes, I just personally have trouble relating to any of them. But this episode hit home. The comedy in this episode was spot on, with the best gags coming from the interview style (by the way Pinkie, you might wanna check that clone). I have one nitpick about his certain parts of the story seem a little hard to follow like the plot with that Plad Stripes character. Why is she there again? But yeah very enjoyable episode. And I'll just add this as the 3rd this season a character has imitated someone else and we should be good.

Attack of the Pwns 894 May 21, 2016 Share May 21, 2016 I loved this episode. I'm pretty "meh" on most Rarity episodes because Rarity isn't exactly my favorite pony, but this one did a great job of balancing her with the rest of the cast. The mockumentary style was excellent, lots of great callbacks, we see Vinyl for, what is this, the third time this season!? It was just great all-around. Also, I love the fact that one day after I get over a cold Coco Pommel catches it-did they know there was going to be a bug going around this time of year or what? Anyway, great ep. 4 Signature by the ever-awesome Overdrive! Pinki Pie FTW!
CaptainDoubloon 856 May 21, 2016 Share May 21, 2016 I just now got around to watching the episode because I didn't pay attention to what day it was. This was a really fun episode for me to watch. I don't have much to say at the moment, so this episode gets a 4 out of 5 from me.

Judging from some of the tweets from Confalone and Haber it may have gone back and forth at some point as they didn't seem to know what it was going to be called. It definitely makes image tags more of a pain during the first few days
JH24 385 May 21, 2016 Share May 21, 2016 (edited) I really enjoyed this episode. Great pacing, some good humor and dialogue and no weak moments. I was worried for awhile the final scene would drag out but it was very satisfying. Loved how they focused on the individual talents of each member of the Mane 6 to bring everything to a good ending. NeonCobalt 256 May 21, 2016 Share May 21, 2016 This episode was a lot of fun. I liked the interviews with the mane 6 throughout the episode, they added a lot of great humor. The humor in this episode in general was great. The animation was also really good. It felt very detailed, but in subtle ways. I don't really know how to describe it. Also, that's two appearances by DJ PON3 this season, I wonder if that's a coincidence or if the writers just like using her. Side note, what was with that Pinkie clone?! Did they miss a few back in season 3? Overall, this was an excellent episode. 9.5/10 2 Credit to @Kyoshi for the signature!
Unlikeable Pony 2,698 May 21, 2016 Share May 21, 2016 Loved the episode. It was a nice pallette cleanser after the crap that was newbie dash and other mediocre episodes (I didn't care for AHWT either last week). but this was great.rarity was in top form being overdramatic, the mane six were endearing and hilarious, the visual gags were top notch, and the interview framing device made for some great jokes and visual gags (like the differences between each of the mane six's food and behavior). 9/10. Freaking loved it. THIS is what episodes should be like.

Dark Qiviut 22,388 May 21, 2016 Share May 21, 2016 (edited) Another week, another great episode. The narrative style is very unique for the show, but given how it's around a review of her Manehattan boutique, having the ReMane Six and others being interviewed off in and out during the episode makes a whole world of sense. Mr. Stripes is very pushy, but he also means well for his daughter and wants her to be treated with respect. As nontraditional as her spoon idea was, she's not incompetent. And this is where the episode works its wonders: the competence of everyone. When the ReMane Six played into their strengths, everything fell into place. When they didn't, everything went wrong. It borrows a little from Castle Sweet Castle this way, but the clever spin in the narrative style and the overall approach really freshened this episode. And by using their strengths, Rarity's new boutique apparently came out much better than even she anticipated. The comedy is spot on. Rarity's freakout works, because she's stressed out. "NO SPOILERS!" works. Rainbow Dash's imitation works, because she's responding to annoying stimuli and the episode's backdrop is a lot lighter than Newbie Dash's. The Too Many Pinkie Pies references works so well. "Sweep" works. They don't sacrifice character or character dimension for it at all.I'll write more when it's all processed, but needless to say, this episode really surprised me in a really good way. Easily one of season six's best. Wind Chaser 4,768 May 21, 2016 Share May 21, 2016 (edited) There really isn't much to say about this episode except that the dialogue and editing really did good here. The interview style and some of the lines really packed a nice punch, except for the customary exposition in the cold open. It's good, lighthearted fun, but I wouldn't see myself rewatching this episode that many times. The plot was fairly standard, but interestingly enough a sort of reversal of "Suited for Success" and "Castle Sweet Castle". When the Mane 6 did things their own way in the previous two episodes, it had a negative effect, but in this episode, trying to emulate Rarity too much had that effect, and doing things their own way fixed it. It's interesting to see MLP play devil's advocate on one of its own previous morals. I have one nitpick about his certain parts of the story seem a little hard to follow like the plot with that Plad Stripes character. Why is she there again? She seems to be a parody of the sort of mob mentality certain shady people have, bullying others so that their unqualified kids can get a free ride. Mr. Stripes was beyond shady. Sonic5421 423 May 21, 2016 Share May 21, 2016 After watching the episode myself, I enjoyed it very much. Nice to see Coco Pommel again, even if she was sick and unable to help Rarity, loved seeing the Mane Six give their info to the J. Jonah Jameson look-alike reporter on their parts of the grand opening, and in the end, despite all the trouble the Mane Six went through to help Rarity, the reporter gave a very positive review of the grand opening, and it went very well, especially with Fluttershy having the raccoons act as waiters, DJ PON3 providing music, and even taking the landlord's daughter's advice to heart as well. This episode gets a 10/10 from me, and I can't wait to see what happens next before the hiatus in June!
AlbaTross 1,586 May 21, 2016 Share May 21, 2016 I have one nitpick about his certain parts of the story seem a little hard to follow like the plot with that Plad Stripes character. Why is she there again?Because the landlord of the space she's renting blackmailed her by saying that if she doesn't hire his daughter he will raise the rent till she can't afford it. Anyways, solid episode. Not my favourite, but I went into it expecting Rarity's Newbie Dash, and was pleasantly surprised. The synopsis led me to believe that the episode was going to play out quite differently, but I like the format used here. It shakes things up a bit, and has a good moral. Also, as I said on the Equestria TV live stream, I'll definitely back the Kickstarter of anypony who has the skill and desire to make plushies of angel and devil Rarity.

Mr. Stripes was beyond shady I disagree. He wasn't "shady." He was in the basement. ... With the lights off. loved seeing the Mane Six give their info to the J. Jonah Jameson look-alike reporter on their parts of the grand opening I totally loved this too! There have been some JJJ references before but I love every one. Maybe that's because I love JK Simmons. He was also the voice behind Cave Johnson in Portal 2, which is probably why they had such similar humorous tones. Kindness is just a few words away. Dynamo Pad 11,275 May 21, 2016 Share May 21, 2016 This episode was really amazing. I liked how they started at the end of the episode and did a flashback within a flashback type of episode. I also loved each of the mane 6's thoughts going on at the moment in the episode. My favorite of the interviews would have to be Rainbow Dash's. I loved how she impersonated Rarity again and everything that she didn't want written down was written down. Facial expressions were spot on and some of the references were incredible. My favorite reference was definitely the Pinkie referencing the episode "Too Many Pinkie Pies," and the Pinkie sitting behind her. It was nice seeing other ponies like Vinyl Scratch and Coco Pommel. It was interesting to see how Twilight and the others tried to do what Rarity had thought was best at first. Then trying it in a different way. Rarity's new shop looked really cool and seems like fitting addition to her boutique shops. All in all, this episode was awesome and very enjoyable and I can't wait see what's next for the mane 6 this season. 2 My OC: Dynamo Pad: https://mlpforums.com/roleplay-world/roleplay-characters-sheets/original-characters/dynamo-pad-r44/ Signature made by The Wife of Rengoku

Truffles 2,033 May 21, 2016 Share May 21, 2016 (edited) Well, this episode was pretty much about nothing, or more precisely, much ado about nothing since the article ended up being a positive review anyway - but it didn't matter since it was hilarious nonetheless! The Mane 6 were in perfect form in this episode, it was a perfect execution of an ensemble cast for a change. It was a bit of a stretch for DJ-PON3 to have a club in Manehatten since she's around so often in Ponyville, but I'll accept it.I'm a little cool to Plaid stripes, because she was a little too pushy for my tastes. Hopefully she can be reigned in as she continues her employment with Rarity.I noticed Coco Pommel wasn't going to be Rarity's store manager, but it makes sense because I think her taking that position would probably be a step backward for her career.I was disappointed to not see Spike in this episode, but it's probably for the best. Nick Confalone has yet to write a single line of dialogue for him in any of the episodes he's penned, so he either doesn't like Spike or doesn't feel comfortable writing for him. I take that back - he actually does see Spike like I see him. Plus if Spike were around he probably would have objected to the Mane 6 locking Rarity in the window display and that would have been a plothole.Still, Spike's insights on the situation would have been perfect for the interview scenes! Before the episode came out I saw a comment that said the episode would probably be like "Castle Sweet Castle" and in a small way this is true with 5 of the mane characters trying to help the other and things getting complicated so they get the one pony to stay away from the complications until it's fixed, but it's also a tiny bit of a reversal of the lesson from "Castle Sweet Castle" because this time they thought too much about what Rarity wanted without trusting their own instincts. Agreed, I pretty much have to take back what I said about this being like "Castle Sweet Castle" because you're right - this is pretty much the opposite of that episode. You and many others have already pointed out that this episode shows that the ponies need to be like themselves instead of trying to be like the pony they're trying to help. Foliha 395 May 21, 2016 Share May 21, 2016 Well! This was awesome! (How come so many Rarity episodes are so awesome?) I think my favorite moment was the hoof bump between Dashie & AJ.
