Although originally here, I may have come across cynical and harsh, it doesn't mean I don't want a relationship. It has always been something I long, but alas. Some people are just destined to be Forever Alone in this world no matter how hard they try. Still, I believe that I'll find a friend. Maybe not in this world, but after Death.

Some people just have too high standards, which are pretty hard to satisfy. Plus, the whole relationship thing is pretty difficult and needs lots of getting used to.:D It shouldn't be difficult to find someone you like, staying with them it a lot more difficult I think.

I see. Well my standards are pretty average but some might perceive that to be a little too high to be average. So either I lower my standards way down to the point of absurdity and get cheap @$$ hoes (not just girls, could be hermaphrodites you weirdos) that way or set my standards way too high that I am Forever Alone.

And yeah, maintaining the relationship long term is difficult, but not impossible. It's almost like making a best friend that you'll have fun with forever (if you know what I mean ).

Yeah, there are LOTS of examples of relationships lasting a long time, but as I said, they're pretty difficult to obtain.

I'm still not in a relationship right now. Unrequited love is a real pain. And I'm real cautious even around those who do have feelings for me in return because I tend to be attracted to people who end up double crossing me or getting extremely clingy.

My relationships have ranged from being lied to, used, or I turn on them. So for now on I'm never ever going to be in another relationship because I don't trust myself in a relationship or others. 

Simple put, no I'm not in a relationship because I trust no one.

Adapting to being part of a relationship is hard. Seriously hard. It boils down to Discord's statement to Fluttershy in Flutter On - once you are in a relationship, you can't always have everything your own way. To be fair though, if the majority of the time if what you want doesn't match what they want, you probably shouldn't be in a relationship with them anyhow.  But almost all relationships come down to some sort of horsetrading (ponytrading, given the site?) - if you want to do things together, then you will need to trade doing thing A you want against thing B they want but you are either indifferent to or hate.  Same sex or opposite sex relationships don't matter so much as the fact that no two people are the same, so there are always going to be points of conflict. Other people are difficult, seriously.

But other side of the same coin - there is nothing in the world as rewarding as being with someone you care about, seeing them happy, sharing things with them and having someone to talk to about common interests. It doesn't have to be an intimate relationship (a close friendship is often at least as good, although you are unlikely to get night-time snuggles that way) but you get out what you put in, and a relationship to the point of being a couple means putting in a lot.

It's been a few years since I was last in a relationship, which was odd at first - I literally went from living with my parents to moving in with my first love, and was rarely out of a relationship more than a few weeks of my adult life until now.  I do enjoy the space and the extra cash, but it gets lonely, especially late at night when I have nobody to snuggle. If I meet the right girl, then I would be in another relationship in a heartbeat
