I love the song "Lyin' Eyes" by the Eagles, "Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton, and "Dear Mama" by 2Pac.

I was just listening to the songs you commented and when I read what Tears in Heaven was about when I watched it. It honestly made me cry <3 So beautiful and sad.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdDiRK8jfMw "Bist du bei mir, geh ich mit Freuden" (If you are with me, I go with joy) , aria from the opera "Diomedes" from Gottfied Heinrich Stölzel is maybe one of my all-time favorite songs. Whenever someone says that old and boring line: "German is such an ugly and aggressive language", I make them listen this song.

This song is beautiful any language will sound aggressive if done in the right tone.

I am not one who is easily moved by music... but this song is among the most beautiful I have heard, period. If you know me, then I'm sure you know what this song is. :-D

Spoiler

Though I am typically impartial to songs that last for 10+ minutes, this is one of the few songs which such length feels appropriate. The quality of music is among the most subjective concepts there is... but in my opinion, this is the most sincere, heartfelt, and moving songs out there.

Oh man way too many to name - I consider just about every song I like (and even those I don't) to be beautiful in some way or other. I'll just leave this one only - I can see why a lot of people wouldn't view it as beautiful but it's really a matter of perspective.

Just to get this out of the way: Beautiful for me has nothing to do with the message of any of these songs/pieces. I am purely judging them by the instrumentation/sound.

On the pop side:

Spoiler

On the folk side:

Spoiler

This one'll sound weird to a lot of people. Of course, I adore the crumhorn ensemble intro. I love it so much, but the portion that I think is immensely beautiful starts around 4:15

On the Early Music/Classical side (probably the most beautiful IMO despite being put third here, as you may infer from it being a much longer list lol):

Spoiler

We go waayyy back to ancient Greece for the next one!

(Renaissance polyphonic choral music is a treasure trove of immensely beautiful music.

In the middle of Stravinsky's striking ballet The Rite of Spring there is this gem, this incredibly beautiful section. It's highly dissonant, but it is so beautiful in its own way.

Last, but not least... Holst's Planets. These three are so beautiful:

I always thought "The Sound of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel is one of the most beautiful and powerful songs ever written.

(Not the "Disturbed" cover)

Yeah I have listened to this one a few times it is a beautiful song.

My favorite song, ‘Smile’ by Charlie Chaplin, sung by Jimmy Durante is the most beautiful thing in the world.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOVmlTBX-t0

‘What A Wonderful World’ as sung by Louis Armstrong is another big one on the list.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3yCcXgbKrE

‘Alfie’ sung by Jack Jones is sublime.

‘On the Street Where You Live’ from My Fair Lady is a glorious power ballad.

It’s not easy to narrow down the list to just a few gems like this, but I have a very long playlist of special faves and I could go on forever listing them here.
