gaming What is/are your stress relieving game(s)

What video games do you play to relieve your stress. If you had a bad day whether it be at work or in general, what games would you play that are therapeutic to you and why?

I find video games in general to relieve real world stress, but among the best I find are more easy-going and relaxed like Kirby games.

I tend to be more relaxed when I'm playing games that engage in a slower pace. RPGs usually do the trick for me, as they can let my mind settle.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf and a game I’m sure no one knows about called Cookie Shop: DS. The latter is a pretty simple game but it’s simplicity is what makes it so calming.

I play Minecraft for a stress relief game, because I like how relaxing and calm the game is when you only play on peaceful!

Well, I like to play the Halo games to relax. I know the gameplay isn't that relaxing, but I really enjoy the soundtrack of all the Halo games.

Any game can calm your nerves with the right attitude. Admittedly, I do find the Pokemon games particularly relaxing, the Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force games on my PSP are usually my go-to for a game that helps my mood, and Devil May Cry always helps me feel good imagining myself standing strong and indomitable with a cocky smile on my face in the presence of evil.

Skyrim and Breath of the Wild.

Mostly because nature is my best stress reliever, and those games have you walking in nature a lot.

But also, in Skyrim, sniping someone with a bow and arrow and getting that snare drum sound as it hits...  It's so satisfying.

The old Doom games, I have them is an all in one kind of launcher, it even has Hexen and strife though I don't play those as often as I do the Doom titles in it. Did you know they made a first-person shooter based on Chex cereal? XD It has it, and it's weird as all heck. 

 And then I have Brutal Doom for when the rage is epic. lol

I like to go with games that are very slow and just make me happy in its purest form. Games like Rollercoaster Tycoon, Animal Crossing and Minecraft great examples of this. I also like to dip into Train Sim World or Binding of Isaac other times, those also work wonders. Playing some of these while listening to videos in the background helps a lot to lower my stress levels.
