What are your favorite animals?

Cats   They maybe be domestic animals, but I love how they don't have to rely entirely on humans! They can hunt and look after themselves if they have to without the control of humans 8)

Sloths. They literally do not care. They don't care about anything. They just kind of sit in trees. And they're amazing.

Y'know, I've been on this site for almost ten years and I've never had a proper signature. Ain't that something?

DOGS!DOGS!DOGS!

I love the company of dogs whenever I'm feeling down. They are smart enough to tell by the tone of your voice how you're feeling and are always there for you. Once, I was crying for some reason I forget and my dog came right over and laid down with me with his head on my lap. They also are there is you have something to get off your chest like a secret and will never tell. Even if they can't talk, they are the geniuses of the dog world.

The fox.

In fact you could probably say ... I liked foxes ... before it was cool ... sorry, I just ... you know, b-because of that ... that one song ... by ... *awkward silence* :P

No but seriously, I just think they're so cool! I started liking them sometime around late 2012. I wanted a 'signature animal' of sorts for my own little fictional nation, so I went with the fox, and it's kinda been my thing ever since. :D

Just so you know , I have merged yoour thread with this one as they seem to deal with the same subject.  In the future, please be sure to utilize the search function to see if your idea for a thread already exists before creating a new one.  Not only does this keep the forums a little more neat and organized, but it also avoids any confusion that multiple threads can cause.  Thank you!

As for a favorite animal, mine would have to be a peregrine falcon.  Not only are they beautiful birds, in my opinion, but they are also exceptionally skilled hunters and agile flyers.

Growing up I was always fascinated by zebras and flamingos (for some reason, I understand the zebras, but why did I love flamingos??), but now my two favorites are dogs and tigers. Dogs are just so much fun and cute! But they have to be AT LEAST medium-large breed. I can't stand barking rats. Tigers are just freaking gorgeous.

Deer drive me insane! They made almost half the people in my high school (including the teachers) miss an entire week of class and nobody seemed to care because it was expected every year! Besides that, they just give you that look like, "What the heck is that thing coming at me? I'll just wait and see..."

I am NO deer hunter, although being originally from northern WI, I understand what you mean (I didn't mind all the skipping kids, more learning for me :P ). For a while there, I was very much against hunting of deer, but now I am ok with it, as long as the meat is used (or donated to those in need).  I will not eat deer, but without the hunting of deer, sadly they would die out due to over reproduction and subsequent disease.

I do think deer are stupid, don't get me wrong. My birth dad always told me they were walking across the road reading newspapers....I am terrified of hitting one, not for the deer but for my already battered truck. It's my Wind-Up Toy, my pride and joy despite the rust and clanky noises....If a deer hit it, it'd be too far gone to salvage. Plus, because my truck is a tiny Ford Ranger, who knows what injuries I'd sustain on top of all that. That's what I'm most worried about with my husband and his hour long commute to work every daybreak, the peak time in the morning deer are out. I may love deer, but I love my husband so much more than any animal....

edit: on second thought, could my husband be my favorite animal? What are Sasquatches anyways?

My husband's lifelong nickname is Sasquatch, or Nessy, the Loch Ness Sasquatch. He's perfectly ok with it btw. Why this nickname, well our last name is Ness, and he is 6' 7" with an amish like beard (i.e. for those that watch Duck Dynasty, that kind of beard, though no moustache).
