How open are you about ponies?

I've been really open and not open at the same time,I have (at least) 5 PMVs in my music, my background is ponies, I've read 3 fanfics and won't stop talking about them, and I've been trying to get my mom to watch some, but at school I'm completely quiet about it, I was whistling the theme song a bit on the bus but nobody really seemed to notice, but through facebook, I don't even know how much pony stuff I've been posting, nobody's been bugging me about it though, so either they've all hidden my content, or they just don't care

I'm completly open. Not in a way that I feel a need to tell the world, but I won't deny if anyone asks me, or questions it. I genericly don't care if some neigh-sayers looks down on me for it!

And i can't wait for my shirts I bougth from WeLoveFine to arrive B)

Admittedly, I wish I was more open about the whole MLP thing. As most people on this forum, I am a very shy person, keep to myself whenever possible, unless for a few select people. I still haven't told any of my best friends yet simply because I am afraid what they will think of me. Although it sounds childish, that's really how it is. All my friends are really into internet memes, image boards, etc., and undoubtedly heard about at least somewhat about what a "Brony" is. However if they are Brony haters, they will NEVER let me live it down. I'm sure one day it will slip out and who knows, maybe they will surprise me. Although I am suspicious of my one friend possibly being a Brony, I know if he Isn't, he will judge it as "gay" right off the bat, and probably like it a few months later.

I guess it was your avatar, but I read your whole thing in Fluttershy's voice.

Anyway, I understand where you're coming from. I'm a pretty reserved person. I don't tell someone I like ponies the first time I talk to them. After knowing them for awhile and letting them get to know me better I would be more likely to tell them about it.

haha, just told my dad yesterday about me being a brony.. He was like "Why haven't you told me anything.. I can't see the problem about liking a cartoon". It's great to know that he doesn't care :D

Lol, I am the head nightshift nurse and over my desk I have a framed picture of fluttershy looking pissed: "Touch my desk and you will flutterdie" so yeah, pretty open :P I dont push it in ponies faces, but its no secret. Ofc, me wearing derpy, fluttershy or pinkie pie shirts makes it obvious lol

I am not shy, I don´t give a flying feather about what anypony thinks of me.

I'd say I'm open about ti, but I don't straight up tell people I'm into it. I've got Art of the Dress, Giggle at the Ghosties, At the Gala, and Winter Wrap up straight from the show, and 20% Cooler by Ken Ashcorp, DashStep by Baasik, and Been Dreamin' all on my iPod. And, as Dash likes to say, I like my music louder in my car, so there's some MLP noise poultion going around when I'm driving around ^^".

If anyone ever borrows my zippo when it gets in, they're going to holding the most awesome lighter ever (It's got Rainbow Dash on it ^^) and I'm planning on getting a Fluttershy t-shirt to start with, but will be expanding that afterwards.

In general, I don't really care about how people look at me in public. I mean, I'm a guy and I've worn sparkly blue sweat pants out in town on multiple ocassions. If that didn't get me strange looks, I think a pony shirt is alright. Not to mention, it can't be any worse than walking around in my security uniform in Wal Mart xD.

Crackle is best dragon - Rarity is best Marshmallow

Scootaloo is best chicken - Sweetie Belle is best Dictionary

Fluttershy is best tree - Twilight is best Minigun

Rainbow Dash is best turnip bucket - Spike is best Rainbow Dash

All ponies are best pony.

Especially Fluttershy.

I'm a female, so being open about this isn't too hard and difficult. (Feel bad for the Bronies who do have the challenge, though!) I probably get a lot of stares too since I'm 19. Went to the dollar store today to get the coloring/activity books for my collection and this one lady looked at me pretty weird since I was digging through the boxes to find them. :P

I just don't care what people think. If you really have problems buying MLP merchandise and you want to ease up into at least making yourself, in person, get MLP merchandise, if you get a talkative cashier you could just say, "Yeah, getting this for my little sister" or something. Might be a tiny lie but it will help you overcome going to the toy aisle, grabbing the toy, and walking out of the store without a red face.

I'm too open, partly because of the big mouth of my economics teacher.

I mentioned the show to him in November, after I'd watched the first four episodes, but I didn't become an official brony until last Christmas break, when I downloaded all of the episodes of season one. He and I had a couple talks about it, and I showed my appreciation. Later, he would make jokes about ponies and mention ponies in all of his classes. Through his mouth and my mouth and me wearing a steampunk pony shirt twice, it spread that I was a fan of "this My Little Pony show." I've noted the fandom, and I'm trying to get people to watch Read It and Weep with me, since it's a good episode to start out with. I'm trying to get people to watch an episode, so at least some of them can realize that this show is actually pretty good.

My father seems to ignore my fandom of the show, which I find surprising.

Nobody IRL actually knows I'm a brony. If anyone at my school found out, it would spread like fire. I'm pretty sure nobody in my class is a brony considering they're clueless one it comes to memes and stuff. There is one person though... Once I get my own house(in a long time) I will be switching to almost completely open, ponifying everything I own.

I have tried on numerous occasions. My coworkers got a great laugh about it and still crack jokes here and there. My parents think something is wrong with me..... and for the friends part.....*bro-hoofs air* :( enough said.

I've been trying to keep my personal liking for the show a secret because not many people around where I live would approve of it. I do have pony wallpapers on my desktop laptop and phone though so someone was bound to find out sooner or later. Yesterday I was busy on my computer when my mother walked in and put a Fluttershy toy right on my desk. She left the room without saying a word and I just sat there. After about a minute of contemplating what I should do next, I just stood up and said: AWWWWWW YEAAAAA!

So my mother knows of my liking for the show and she isn't opposed to it. I was expecting her to be shocked and be critical towards me, but she wasn't which is great! I have an indescribable feeling of pride right now, maybe it's because I wasn't afraid to hide it. With this, I have been thinking about coming out about my like for the show. Not with just my family, but publicly. We don't have a brony club at our school and I think that it would be good idea to create one because I honestly don't care what people think anymore. As long as I'm happy, I don't care.

I'm open about it with my friends and family but I'm not entirely sure about strangers yet. I feel like other people wouldn't really understand my interest with FiM, but I am looking to buy a Fluttershy shirt soon....

I'm not.. open about it, but i dont hide it. If i hear someone talking about it or they ask me, i'd quickly respond with a hell yeah.

My best friend knows and often makes fun of me for it, as well as tells everyone in context...

but i dont let it phase me. I enjoy the fandom, and dont care what she thinks, though i love her more than anything. Most of my friends are furries. So, they dont care all too much either. One of them even is a brony. c:

It's been a little annoying with my dad teasing me about it a lot(A LOT) the past week, but he did watch an episode with me and I don't think he hated it, and I'm really happy I can watch MLP whenever it's on now if I want. :)

I never really cared much about self image. I'll let people judge me in any way they want to, but that being said I am only fairly open about my being a brony. If someone brings it up I have no problem openly stating my love for ponies but I'm not the kind of person to draw any unnecessary attention to myself. I like MLP and I'm not afraid to say it, but I'm not weird about it.

This is basically me. Just recently got a bunch of pony stuff from WeLoveFine. If you don't like my ponies, we probably wouldn't get along anyway. Besides, how else are you supposed to attract dem pegasisters?
