As cool as Nightmare Moon and Discord are, it's unlikely we'll be seeing them again. If you could create (or already have created) another villain for the FiM universe, what kind would you make?

 

It can be a simple bully like Trixie, a serious threat like Discord, or even a psychopath like the infamous Pinkamena. Don't worry too much about whether it is kid-friendly or not. Just make it interesting!

A cool crossover villain from another Faust show would be Mojo Jojo.

 

 

Hmm. a new villain. A manticore has managed to slip thru the magical barriers thet hold the monsters in the Everfree forest. This one is intelligent. He can talk. He can go anywhere the ponies can go,

 

His goal is more than just hunting ponies. He wants to break down the magical barriers and free ALL the monsters in the forest. If he does that he can become KING of the monsters.

 

Once again the guardians of the Elements of Harmony are called into service.

The Manticore is not alone, he has a number of minions, winged monkeys, goblins, and a few other surprises for our fearless fillies.

I actually already made one for the story I'm doing for EqD. Noctis, the remnant of Nightmare Moon that wants desperately to reunite with Luna and commits all kinds of horrible atrocities along the way in order to ensure the mane 6 won't be able to threaten it a second time. I don't really like to use oversimplified comparisons, but in order to spare you all a wall of text it's basically a combination of Venom and The Darkness.

I had another idea, though I doubt I'll ever write it since one fic is enough work. But I imagined a mysterious, fast-talking unicorn who comes to town in a cape and a top hat and starts offering "deals" to ponies with desires. In exchange for a seemingly minor favor or sacrifice, he would use magic to grant them whatever they wish. The strength of the magic would be Discord level, meaning he could rewrite reality to facilitate a pony's wish if necessary. However, he can only use magic that powerful while making a deal. Outside of it, he would be somewhere beneath Twilight in magical ability.

 

Obviously, his deals would be shady. He might make Rainbow Dash into a Wonderbolt like she always wanted, but make her into the unpopular Wonderbolt that everypony hates. He might give the CMC the cutie marks they always dreamed of, but the marks would be for things that ultimately make them unhappy and ruin their lives. He might even grant a wish with no tricks attached to it, but only after an extremely costly price is paid that guarantees the pony who pays it will live to regret it. Ultimately his goal would be to make his victims so miserable and desperate that they'd do ANYTHING to reverse their wish. He's basically a supernatural con artist.

 

Of course, magic that powerful would call into question whether he is really a pony at all or if he's just disguising himself as one in order to gain the trust of suckers.

I would love to see Pinkie as a villain! She is already corrupted and insane. She could just cause simple destruction, like messing up stuff and maybe stealing. What would make her cross-eyed crazy I'm not sure.

That's similar to the story I have in progress (link to it in my sig). A powerful unicorn named Dark Genie comes to Ponyville, saying he can grant one wish to every resident. His price is whatever they treasure the most. But after he leaves town, he takes whatever he was given with him, and the wishes will fade.

 

I didn't explain how he has a high power level in story, but it's because he's much older than Twilight, and his special ability is granting wishes (his cutie mark is a magic lamp). He just uses it to con people out of their valuables.

Yeah, I doubt Luna will be banished to the moon again by Celestia... Wish Discord was back though, he was the best villian.

 

On Topic: Umm, maybe some kind of mystical creature in the everfree forest captured one of the ponies, and are planning to use them for something.

My idea is a pure being wanting to make the world righteous. How about a character who is first stable and collected, a huge threat to the Mane 6 being one step ahead of them all the time. Though later, after his "pure form" is left in an unperfect world like Equestria, he goes insane, from setting out traps, to throwing giant cotton candy elephants filled with dynamite.

 

Eventually, the Mane 6 realize his weakness, Twilight lectures him on friendship yadayadayada BAM! He is wiped from existince by the elements of harmony.

Upon discovering an ancient magical evil spirit, Eris (goddess of chaos), sealed by Celestia (in a chest), Trixie releases it thinking it will make her and greater and more powerful than ever but becomes possessed by the Eris and engages an epic battle with Celestia, Luna, and the mane 6. After she is saved, her and Twi become friends and Twi becomes her mentor.

They have talked about a ghosts in some episodes, for example the one with Zecora. So I though why not bring in a ghost-pony into Ponyville who is active at the nights. Or something like that.
