I'm not really in any other fandom other than the Brony fandom, but I find that most of the fandom nowadays has become unbearable and just plain annoying. I find MLPForums like a safe place. I like everyone I have met on here. It's those people who spam pony stuff where they aren't wanted. They really annoy me. Like on many YouTube videos I have spotted a random person just shout something about MLP, and they got lots of hate back. Unsurprisingly. I ended up getting a bit of respect by replying asking him just to be quiet where he isn't wanted. 

A lot of hate comes from 4chan though. There are some real idiots on that site...

It depends on how you define being 'in' a fandom... I'm definitely in the brony fandom, but to a lesser extent, I'm also in the Doctor Who fandom since I'm interested in the music videos and fanfics for the show, though I don't really interact with other Whovians. =/ I used to be in the Smash Bros fandom too, but I lost interest eventually and just stick to the games now. :l

Used to be apart of the Minecraft fanbase back when the maturity levels of MC fans were higher.

I was actually mildly popular because I was a "Seed Poster".

I would find "Minecraft Seeds" for PC and PE and post them online.

The whackiest one I found was a PC 1.6.4 seed.

It contained a large flat Savanna with a COLOSSAL flying island.

That was YEARS ago though.

Now a days, I can't even wear a Minecraft t-shirt in public without getting a weird look.

MLP:FiM is the only fandom I'm in atm. I used to be in The Simpsons' too until I got tired of the show.

The definition of being in a fandom is a bit ambiguous, I watch many other shows but I don't discuss about them.

Well I'm a big pro wrestling fan, although the real fandom for that is called the IWC (Internet Wrestling Community). We're the guys & gals that watch wrestling companies outside of the big guy in the WWE, watching matches that take place in Europe, the lucha libre of Mexico, Japan (which seems to be the holy grail of 5 star matches), and the american indie scene, where top young talent hone their craft. 

 

I guess the divide between normal fans and us, mirrors the target demographic and us bronies.  Casual viewers want a soap opera for guys, a sitcom with violence. Us "smart marks" as we're called, are more interested in hard hitting, athletic, complex choreographed fights, while paying attention to how charismatic a wrestler is, how their character is developing, where a feud is going, the real intricacies.  We analyze matches, moments, promos, wrestlers and whole companies like you guys analyse episodes. 

 

Outside of that, there isn't really much. I was a big Godzilla fan, but that died out in the mid 00s, and hasn't come back thanks to how awful the recent movie was.  I watch some anime here and there but most don't last long enough to get a complex fandom going. 

 

I will admit that I am a furry, but another issue is that there isn't really a central focus for furries to discuss. Just sharing a bunch of art mostly. I'd like to go to a furry convention, even have my own fursuit, but until then, I'm really only on the fringes of the society. 

 

I'm starting to get into the growing fandom of Splatoon. I'll see where that leads me.

Enjoying a show and actually being active in a fandom are certainly different. I enjoy a lot of different shows, but since I dedicate myself to a fandom when I'm in one, I only ever am active in 1-3 at a time. Right now those are MLP:FiM and The Seven Deadly Sins.
