Retro*Derpy 3,185 October 1, 2013 Share October 1, 2013 I have several different type of voices, though I can't really use them under the title of play acting but rather comical. Though I wouldn't say I'm anywhere near professional, as I don't enjoy it enough to make it so.
HunterTSN 1,444 October 1, 2013 Share October 1, 2013 (edited) I've taken a couple acting lessons in the past and those skills directly translated over to the voice acting I do for some of my own projects. I've had a hard time working with big groups of people though, mostly because the project goes dead before I'm needed... I saw the first post in here then saw the date and thought to myself, I bet anything this thread was revived by Retro Derpy, I was not wrong! I've considered doing some voice acting for the fandom but meh, nothing more than considering. I thought it would be cool voicing Doctor Whooves considering Doctor Who is English, as am I 1 Your friendly neighborhood alcoholic motorcyclist Life is too short to worry what others think of you, be creative, be weird, live life. Virulence 254 October 1, 2013 Share October 1, 2013 I would love to be a voice actress. That would be so cool. I was actually looking into that and it seems very interesting. Oblivion 20,266 December 29, 2019 Share December 29, 2019 My only problem is I really do not have that good of voice and always had trouble pronouncing my r's when I was younger so it prolly wouldn't be the best choice for me!

Rainbow Cloud 17,978 December 29, 2019 Share December 29, 2019 (edited) Not really, I'd be pretty useless at acting and don't have a good voice. Edited December 29, 2019 by Rainbow Cloud

applesjck 5,601 December 30, 2019 Share December 30, 2019 I've always been interested in voice acting! I don't believe I'd be very good at it, though. Lover of all things Applejack. <
Cash In 22,328 December 30, 2019 Share December 30, 2019 (edited) You know, that's something I was quite interested in as a kid. Only thing is that I feel that I would be absolutely terrible at it. Edited December 30, 2019 by Cash In At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.
Clawdeen 14,207 December 30, 2019 Share December 30, 2019 I never really thought too much about it. Tbh I don’t think I’d be too good at it. *Ridiculous! Utterly Ridiculous!*
Splashee 28,564 December 30, 2019 Share December 30, 2019 I have thought about it. But my voice is so blah! It just doesn't fit any character.
Bastian 13,319 December 30, 2019 Share December 30, 2019 I haven't thought about it but now, I don't know, it seems interesting but I'm not sure if my voice would fit a character, I may just be a teenager but I have the voice of an adult.(Even though it's still changing)

Troblems 5,617 December 30, 2019 Share December 30, 2019 My voice was in an MMO that I guarantee everyone has heard of. It was cool, but it created a lot of tension and drama between me and my friends/coworkers due to jealousy. Now it’s just a thing I did in the past that I bring up occasionally for nerd cred. Now I occasionally lend my voice for fanfic readings, and that’s enough for me. I could probably get work off the one professional job I did, but I have other aspirations for my life. Tacodidra 61,183 January 7, 2020 Share January 7, 2020 As a kid, I did think about that sometimes (though it wasn't my one and only dream job) – not surprising since I was very interested in animation. But when I realized how different my recorded voice was from how I heard it myself, I realized it would never happen. I thought I was good at changing my voice... 4 Signature by @Sparklefan1234
Dreambiscuit 9,795 January 8, 2020 Share January 8, 2020 I’d love to be a voice actress! I don’t want to toot my own bugle but I’m going to anyway. I’m really good at doing impersonations and unique voices and always have been. It would be so much fun to get paid for doing something I enjoy and is so easy to do. I used to be voice-authorized at my job and had to be in character, so I did have stretch my voice a bit just as one aspect of it. I always liked doing that. And I did work at the MGM Scream Park in Las Vegas (a cheesy Halloween attraction) when I was a lot younger; it required me to scream and make monster noises which pretty much ruined my voice for weeks afterward. That wasn’t as much fun.
ShadOBabe 18,997 January 8, 2020 Share January 8, 2020 I’ve definitely thought about it! My voice is pretty distinct and VERY clear. I don’t have much of a range, but you can practice that. My biggest hurtle would be getting over being self-conscious. I cannot perform well in from of people. I become very, VERY aware of others staring and I can’t focus. 1 Check out my artwork any time: http://shadobabe.deviantart.com/ "OMG; You are such a troll. Red Cedar 1,408 January 17, 2020 Share January 17, 2020 I admit, I've thought about it a lot more since I started watching MLP, and found out my home city (Vancouver) is a major hub for voice acting in North America. PiratePony 8,475 January 17, 2020 Share January 17, 2020 I'm good at it, but it's hard to book jobs. I've had a couple big auditions, including one for Nintendo that I flew in to LA for (still can't say what for because of an NDA, and they used code names so I wouldn't know if it's released or not), auditioned for the new Muppet Babies, for a couple cartoon Network shows. No dice. Once I auditioned for the role of Rick Flair for some WWE cartoon, and lost it to (surprise surprise) Ric Flair. Other than on stage, the only places that I've been paid to act is on a couple cable reenactment shows. Keep in mind also that I live in New York Went to a professional acting conservatory run by some pretty famous people Trained in England for a two week travel abroad with the Royal Shakespeare Company It's a tough but to crack, friends. 1 Courtesy of @Sparklefan1234
Pastel Heart 6,466 January 17, 2020 Share January 17, 2020 Voice acting would be a nice dream job. I think I'm a pretty good actress so I'd love to lend my voice to something I came close once: I was gonna play Tails in a fanmade Sonic radio drama several years ago but the project never got off the ground. Nothing since then.
