I agree with you.  I believe that if it had come out when I was a kid, I would have loved it, but I would not have appreciated it on the level I do now.  I am glad that it is something that is still happening in my life right now, as apposed to a happy memory.

You entirely understand! BROHOOF!!!!

Yes, if it had been a show when I was little, even if I only secretly liked it, the memories wouldn't give me the satisfaction I have in it today.

Nope. Even when I turned 15 I would never even consider looking at the coverof a DVD of MLP FiM. Back then I use to be your average dude: jockish, cocky, sports nut, etc. It was until January this year that I watched MLP FiM. The only things I would warch were European Football matches, Basketball(only the better teams), and boyish cartoons. Actually, anytime before January 2013 I would've been making fun of bronies. Thank god I matured and grew a more open mind :)

i wouldn't have only watched it, i woulda watched the SHIT out of it.

lemme put it this way, i was obsessed with powerpuff girls when i was younger. i drew them, asked my parents for powerpuff girl stuff, was bubbles for halloween, etc. i probably would've loved MLP EVEN more, considering i was also a massive animal lover and loved adorable things. i would have been obsessed with MLP, and looking at myself now, i guess some things just don't ever change img-1386240-1-wink.png

Probably not, even if I did watch The Powerpuff Girls, I would've judged it as too girly for me (that was when I was a kid, and I didn't and probably won't bother to watch another episode of this show)

Yes. Why? I am still legally a child, so yes, I did see it when I was a child, and I became a brony before becoming a teenager. Problem?

I was the exact opposite of "open minded" as a child. I probably would've written it off as stupid and girly (as a child, my mindset was girly = bad).

Y'know, I've been on this site for almost ten years and I've never had a proper signature. Ain't that something?

I guess it depends on what stage of the "finding out about the show" process we're talking about.

I somehow doubt I would have found the show when I was a kid, simply because the internet isn't what it is today.  I started watching the show because of the discussion/image macros about it on the internet, and not much else.

That being said, if I managed to cross the show's path another way, such as it was on a network with a lot of cartoons I was watching at the time (like CN), I would have probably still liked it.  But if it was like today when it's on a network which I had never watched until this show, I probably would not have found it.

Heck, I loved the Powerpuff Girls when I was growing up (and still do today), so no doubt that if I watched an episode back then I would have liked it.

Again, it just a matter of finding the show in the first place for me!

I would like to say I would've, but honestly I think being with how ignorant and dumb I was as a kid I don't think I would've, I mean heck I didn't even watch powerpuff girls as a kid much, just because I thought it was kinda girly, although I may have had some liking I didn't really watch it much.

Besides I'm a closet brony, and I don't think I'd be able to find a place to watch it secretively to not feel uncomfortable watching it. Since I normally watch it on youtube.

Again I was kinda ignorant as a child anyways :P.

I remember that when I was a kid, there would always promotional specials the night before the Fall Premier of Saturday morning cartoons - which would showcase clips from new programs.  I am pretty sure that if I saw a clip from "Friendship is Magic" on one of those promotional specials, I would have ended up watching the show.  And of course, I would have loved it!

Thing is, I don't have any cable, and I wasn't allowed to watch T.V. in the mornings. so on a technicality I wouldn't have watched it. But if it was on PBs I would have.laugh.png

No because I was way more self-conscious back when I was younger, and I only have a bigger brother so no one else would watch it in my house back then. So regretfully no I wouldn't even if I wanted to, but now since I don't give a crap about what they think of me I feel free to like the show even if people talk about me behind my back.

When I was 7-9 y.o. I liked to watch every cartoon I saw on TV. So yes, I would.

In the May of 2008 I started watching WinX Club and became a huuuge fan of it so I liked it until I turned 11 (Yes, my teen years started in it).

So if FiM were instead of WinX, I would have become a REALLY grandiose fan of it and still be a fan.

Mostly inactive.

As a child, I would have disregarded MLP:FIM as just another girly girl preschool show. There is absolutely no way I would have even given the slightest thought to viewing it, putting it there with the likes of Barbie and Dora.

How glad I am the programme came out in more recent times and that I discovered it at the beginning of this year. :)

Probably. I had an obsession with Magical DoReMI at the time, a show for little girls which I loved. My favorite probably would've been Rainbow Dash

It would've probably depended on whether or not I would've watched an episode, as happened when I watched the first one. As a child I refused everything that was girly. So I don't think I would have watched the show

I don't think I would, because I'd think that it would be girly-ish and not for me. Plus, I'd be scare of my siblings as they'd insult me and etc. I'm very happy that it airs now because I'd probably would have not watched it.

Best pony is obviously Pinkie Pie followed by Fluttershy.

BTW ponies rock and so does the series.

I probably would've liked it. I enjoyed Lauren Faust's other works as a kid. This one isn't too different. I don't know if I would've watched it though due to the fact that it's on the Hub channel, which little me didn't even know exsisted.

Nope. Young me was a lot more concerned with fitting in socially, and it would have been hell going to middle and high school being known as that weird kid that watches my little pony. Plus i only found out that it existed because of 4chan, which i didnt start checking until college anyway

Definetely not. I would imagine it going something like, "That's a girly show, I'm not a baby anymore". Yeah, I was an idiot as a child.

I’m not sure I would have:

For a start we don’t get the Hub in the UK, or any channel that shows MLP FIM.

Not only that the internet hadn’t really taken off and become the norm at the time: and it was the internet where I discovered it.

Aside from that: as a child I’d probably think “mlp=girly” and wouldn’t have really given it a chance
