There are interviews with former government workers, among them many military and security officials sharing their experiences. These aren't exactly people you find on the street. So what do the military do, lie to themselves?

Any aliens that would have developed the technology to reach us, would have reached the perfect level of technology, and destroyed themselves through warfare already.

You talk as if all ETs behave the same way as humans.

And what country are you in, that still has wooden technology

I'm from Ukraine.

And about wooden planes, there was a kind of joke. In fact, my country has a very-very weak army.

No, I know the psychology of the most intelligent beings on this Earth. Not the wisest, but the most intelligent. I'm not a psychologist with numerous medals and plaques, but I learn by talking with people, reading, and interviewing soldiers from overseas. And from all these intelligent beings, I've derived that theory. And we all know anyone, or anything, that smart, has those vices, desires, and weakness of spirit.

And yes sirree, the military DOES lie to itself! That, or they get these people to say those things. Gives them just the cover they need, if they hear military claiming it's real, that'll detach from other investigations, or perhaps other doubts in the military, for example, it helps keep people from realizing the prejudiced "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy and doing something about it. Eh?

See far at what?

Finding other intelligent beings may be hard for us, but then again, we are limited by our current scientific knowledge. Other beings may use other methods that are far more successful than our own.

As far as I know, SETI is using the electromagnetic spectrum in search for intelligent life, but what if that's not enough? What if we're sending out the wrong signals, and ETs are actually able to drop out of it and use aspect of the physical universe which are beyond our scientific instruments to adequately measure?

Then they could be right above our heads, and we wouldn't even know it. Just as we didn't know about gamma rays and radio waves until we actually discovered them.

The Electromagnetic spectrum does not the defy the speed of light. The electromagnetic spectrum includes light, radio waves, gama rays. It's simply an umbrella term for every kind of waveform signal.

We know a lot of physics to understand that some things become very hard to identify, when we look at the universe we are watching the past, the same applies for any intelligent alien. They would have to be millions of years ahead in terms of technological advancements, if the universe's physics allows it at any rate. While we can ponder technology possible of doing it, until we discover a piece of physics which allows it (not necessarily buildable) But you will need to prove there is something to watch further then the speed of light allows. otherwise my argument stands that you are looking for a piece of hay in a haystack that may or may not be the haystack it could be in.

Another problem is, the sky is filled with stars with planets around them. Simply looking at a single part of it gives you enough data for several lifetimes. Another thing is, Stars generally outshine their planets. So locating planets is a difficult task by conventional means.

See, you know only the human psychology. Aliens would be absolutely different. What about a giant hive of insect-like creatures, or a civilization of intelligent trees? And it is real to imagine a situation even on the Earth (alternative history, of course), when humans became less agressive and cruel.

I'm skeptical on the belief that aliens are visiting Earth because I can't find a good reason for them to be coming here without any sort of subtlety. I've heard they are researching us in our natural environment. But if that were the case, they wouldn't want to be seen, as that would disrupt our natural behavior. I've heard they are spying on us to make sure we don't become a threat. But if that were the case, they wouldn't want to be seen at risk of putting us into a panic.

Well, it is said that UFOs started appearing more frequently after the atomic bombs were dropped, and it's also documented that UFOs have been spotted over every nuclear energy sites. Maybe they're concerned about our planet. That would at least make some sense since we're aren't exactly taking good care of it...

I think UFOs are exactly what the acronym means - Unidentified Flying Objects. Several UFOs have been spotted, but I'm not going to jump to conclusions about something that I haven't the slightest clue what it is. Some of the given explanations (Weather Balloon, Flares, military prototype, etc.) do happen to fit the facts of the situation, though since the given situation usually relies on little more than eyewitness testimony, a conclusion is hard to reach.

I am, however, more likely to believe the given explanations, as they are typically more plausible than the others (government conspiracy, aliens, etc.) Does this mean that the UFOs spotted in question aren't aliens, parts of giant conspiracies, etc? No. However, as most of these explanations require additional speculation about and extrapolation from the witnessed event, I tend to discard them.

It's situations like these with little evidence either way that are the most difficult to reach conclusions about.

I do believe in life on other planets, so yes.  With the billions of solar systems out there, there's bound to be life at least somewhere.  However, I don't believe in that science fiction stuff, such as UFOs, or aliens visiting Earth and the like.  That's just mumbo-jumbo.

Aliens exist. There's not question about that. The universe is too large it is impossible for us to be the only ones here.

The REAL question is have aliens visited Earth before. I honestly don't think so.

I always had mixed feelings about this topic. You can say I do believe in aliens...but at the same time, I also doubt it. I want to believe that this planet is the only planet with life. It seems almost stupid to jump to the conclusion that we are the only planet with life, but at the same time, it seems far-fetched to say that we are in reach of extraterrestrial life. That's  where i come to my conclusion. I say that we may NOT be the only planet with life, but we cannot seek INTELLIGENT life that have technology within our reach.

I believe in the possibility of Extra-Terrestrial life out there. I do not belive it has came to Earth in this Moderen era, and will only assume by an educated guess that possible living life could of ended up on this planet while the earth was still/beginning to form, thus making life on this planet that lives in this environment and not some other. As what alien life could look like, there is a wide range of possibilites, it could just be one to a few cells, or be something like the dinosaurs. It is possible there could be something out there that has evolved past us and is "smarter" with more advanced technology. There is also many other possibility's and theories, that challenge our own perspective of the world and how we view it as (take the movie The Matrix for example) which would also challenge the possibility of E.T.'s because our perspective of everything could be off and we may be incorrect on everything.

So in summary, there is no evidence to support that alien life really "exists" and/or is more advanced and/or wants something to do with us. I will believe that it is a possibility that aliens may exist based on the facts of the size of the universe that we live in, creating a great possibility that there could be something else other than us. Other then that there is no reason to believe it and it is just like a fairytale.

Edit: Just fixed a misspelled word.

I believe so. The fact the we live on a perfect planet that supports life is enough to convince me that this could happen again. This planet being formed was a once in a billion chance and the facts that there are billions of other galaxies with billions of other stars and billions of other planets orbiting those stars...makes that one in a billion seem pretty insignificant. This is not counting the possibilities of other realities.

Yes, I do. Here is why.

So, basically our universe is huge. Let me explain to you how huge. Alright, we have the Milky Way (which is where earth is located. The most distant galaxies that we can see are about 10 billion to 14 millions light years away. Light travels around roughly 300,000 kilometers a second. Nothing travels faster. We are surrounded by a horizon that we can't look past. It is a horizon set by the distance that light can travel over the age of the universe. Well, the universe is huge and always expanding, so, that means that there are possibly more galaxies. Now, that is just how big the universe is. That means, there are hundreds of galaxies. In each galaxies, there are suns (some have more suns that our galaxy). And that means that there are planets. Now under the Goldielocks' condition, the planet has to be a certain distance from the sun and temperatures have to be just right. Also, threats are a concern, cause, if a black hole is pulling at the planet, that means if the planet did have life, than it would be fading away. There are also millions of planets out there. There is one galaxy that is like our galaxy, along with a similar planet. They think it has life. So, there can be chance of life. Life is defined by anything that has cells, can move, reproduce, along with tons of other definitions. Now, a lot of planets have bacteria (bacteria can survive in extreme weather).

Now, let's talk about aliens. I believe such a thing. For, there have been UFO sitings everywhere. Now, think about it, there are tons of sitings. I wouldn't believe that these unknown sitings are jets. But, how did the idea of aliens exist. Well, we know that these things come out of nowhere, and by Goldielocks' condition there is a possibility of complex life, that means, aliens can exist. Plus, every action you do opens up another dimension (possibly the future). Also, the past and future have this weird thing of meeting together (it is hard to explain if you haven't heard about what I said. Basically, the action you do affects the future, and the future after that future has similar events that meet up. So, that is why people can predict the future.). Now, that could also explain UFOs. UFOs might be an opening of another complex life's action. Also, that means that the society there would be very advance.

Now, let's talk about Area 51 along with other bases. Area 51 is a place where alien experiments are done. Why. Well, if you think about it, they aren't developing nuclear weapons or nano technology, for if they talked about them constructing nuclear technology, it wouldn't be hidden. Yet, they hide everything they do. Isn't it weird. I have seen autopsys, ufos, and aliens. But, the government wants to keep people like me locked up cause I put to many details together, like the end of the world. If aliens didn't exist, wouldn't there not be that base. There are more than 800 bases existing. Most of them are hidden. Why is that? Also, why are certain bases open and others aren't. You can walk into a military base (certain military bases) and not get into enought trouble as you would in Area 51. I also have seen 2 ufos so far, and I would say they are very real

Depends. If by aliens you mean life that is not from Earth, then I believe they exists.

If by aliens you mean humanoid lifeform with super-advanced technologies that might or might not have visited earth with their fancy round thing, then I totally doubt it. Do you really think they travelled that far just to be portrayed or captured by a barbaric race like us?

Life most definitely exists on a planet that is not our own.

I mean, the universe is freaking massive, and it's still expanding. There has to be other life somewhere.

However, I don't think extraterrestrials have visited earth.

depends on what kind of Alien:

political Aliens: sure there are a TON of illegal aliens in america.

Interstellar aliens: uhm...They don't exist until i beat the living shit out of one, take its blood sample (to test if its truly alien), find where its landing craft was, call the damn government.

I guess aliens could exist. There's no proof that they do exist, nor is there proof that they do not. The thought that aliens exist is plausible.

I honestly don't know. I've never seen any evidence to suggest that they do exist. But hell, we could be Aliens when you think about it. I know Scientists have found planets, galaxies and so fourth that support life, but I don't think any life even remotely similar to that of humans or animals. But you never know. There's a whole Universe out there, and it's ignorant to say nothing else exists.
