pretty much anything. the only music I absolutely cant stand is that kind of techno where you have a bass drum and a cymbal on a repeat for 10 minutes, that hurts. Favorite is metal and rock.

I have a bit of most genres on my iPod. My favourite would probably be rock. Some of my favourite artists are Michael Jackson, The Killers, Green Day, Lady GaGa and Coldplay. Recently, I've been listening to Ed Sheeran, Jessie J and Adele.

I dabble in a little bit of everything really except for country, dubstep, and metal/deathcore. Those are three genres I absolutely can not stand at all.

If I had to pick favorites I'd say rap and electronic. Ex. Snoop Dogg and Daft Punk, respectively.

All sorts of music. One of my favorites is blues. I even listen to a little bit of rap (Atmosphere).

Anyway, my favorites are: Coldplay, John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, Matchbox twenty, MGMT, The Kooks, The strokes, The killers, Adele, My chemical romance, Deadmau5, and Kaskade.

Currently I'm listening to Modest Mouse, My Morning Jacket, Bon Iver, and Foster the people.

ELECTRONIC MUSIC.

wait, i had my caps lock on here?

so yah, electronic music. all of it. it's mostly the hardcore stuff. i usually listen to breakcore, gabber, speedcore, drum 'n bass, house, techno, trance, psychedelic trance i.e. the best kind of music ever, downtempo, ambient, and tons more.

i enjoy rock and metal, also, but i'm less knowledged in those genres, although i have various albums of it.

Gay deer music, the finest music alive.

oh yeah, this, too.

I listen to all kinds of punk, so metal punk, pop punk, punk, alternative punk, punk rock I love it all  My favorite bands are Blink 182, Sum 41, Billy Talent, Mindless Self Indulgence but then I like bands like Blue October or something even more different like Pendulum. I'm pretty picky with music, I hate rap, hip hop, r&b and POP, I HATE POP. HATE. IT. HATEITHATEITHATEIT.

I listen to everything but my favorites are metal, classic and video game music. Especially VGM of the epic or metal nature. :P

Favorite bands are Disturbed, Skeletonwitch and Scary Symmetry.

I have no particular preferences in music that I can point out. I listen to any songs I like. There are some genres in which I usually don't check because I like them the least but even they have a few exceptions that I like.

I used to listen to a variety of mainstream in the 90s, but I've been a huge soundtrack junkie (mostly film and TV, but I used to listen to a lot of video game music) for a good number of years now. I don't pay any attention at all to new songs on the radio... I may come back to mainstream once in a blue moon, but generally all I listen to these days is soundtrack music.

I have a collection of over 1000, maybe 1200 soundtrack CDs as well.

What is it, and detail why?

My favorite is power metal, because unlike the other sub-genres of metal, it isn't too dark and it can be epic at times, while keeping the other parts of metal that I like.

My favorite genre would be Gothic metal.

Gothic is such a wonderfull genre of music. The symphonic music, the poetic lyrics and the mood and feeling when I hear this music. That sensation you get when you hear, what you think to be, a perfect piece of music, I rarely find that in other genres.

I don't really have a favorite genre, but I'll tell you right now I LOATHE ANY SONG with lyrics! Mainly because every song with lyrics always chose words that made the sentences some kind of riddle. I do not like that.

So yeah thats it.

I don't have a single favorite.... but I generally like classic hard rock and metal, punk rock, some classical, and some alt. rock.

I'm generally indifferent about the actual lyrics in the music I listen to; if it has good lyrics that's just an added benefit. I usually listen for the music itself.

  • 5 weeks later...

Drum and bass, metal, and dubstep. Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Pendulum. Propane Nightmares is pretty much the greatest song I've ever heard in my life.

I haven't heard anything else off of In Silco, however I have listened to Immersion in it's entirety. I've heard good things about Hold Your Colour, but I have about ten other albums in my listening queue. I reccomend Self vs. Self(featuring Anders Friden of In Flames) off of Immersion if you like metal and drum and bass. Perfect blend of the two, featuring some of Ander's strongest vocals since Reroute To Remain.(2002).
