What sort of things have people made fun of you for?

Let's see about it here. Keep in mind that I'm a 15 year old girl, so that's a bit important:

  • For liking MLP, Sonic, and Pokemon.
  • My looks, which drove my self-esteem into hell.
  • For making mistakes every now and then; a bit of clumsiness.
  • For being quiet...

Maybe some other things as well.

My extremely annoying laugh. I sound like a dolphin. Though this is among my friends, so I don't really care if they pick at me for it. At times I think it's stupid aswell.

Way too easy...

  1. The way I look
  2. The fact I'm very quiet
  3. For existing
  4. The way I dress
  5. For being embarrassed easily

There are more, but I think you get the point. It caused me to really hate myself and others. Still sort of do, honestly.

For a lot of things:

-For being shy.
-For being quiet and not talking.
-Often for my clumsiness and just pretty much anything I do.
-I'm very handsome so people only made fun of me for being handsome.
-My height, just a little though.
-Sometimes for how I talk, when you're nervous you often talk differently or say stupid words.
-Sexuality.
Usually it was just because I didn't talk at all, can't really blame people for making fun of that.

Btw, this is a very small list, people have made fun of everything about me. lol

Well, let's see...

- My laughing. I sound like a hyena...

- My sociophobic nature. Pretty self-explanatory if everyone you know who's your age is pretty much a party-animal...

- My tendency to not care about my outward appearence as much as others. Yes, I dislike to shave and to go to the barber, problem?

- My political beliefs.

You see, I'm anything but religious, so my ethics and opinions on politics and philosophical perspectives are very important to me. Once my whole class nearly laughed at me when I stood there like a preacher in the end, trying to explain why cosmopolitanism, socialism and federalism are the only way out of our crisis and they were too blinded to even care about my feelings at that point. I was "politically offended", you could say...

Um lets see.

1. My voice.

2. being quiet

3. for apparently wearing my pants so much higher then everyone else. >_>. Even though I don't.

4. My looks I suppose.

5. For being homeschooled.(being as in I was homeschooled a while ago, but have been in public school 2 years now.)

6. for saying things wrong at times. Just messing up in conversation

7. for sucking at sports.

8. For being "To nice".

Thats all i can think of right now.

Hmm... Lets see what throws them off...

1-Often wear too much of manly aerosol body sprays(Even though I'm a girl)

2-Wearing bright and rainbow-ish clothes which usually does not make sense(I hope Rarity wasn't here reading this!)

3-Running all around the house noisily

3-Running all around the classroom noisily(I know what you're thinkin' boys! Knock it off with all those unpleasant comments!)

4-For being WAY to stubborn and a show-off!

5-For being too interested in running ? Wait, does that count?

So yeah...Those are the top 5 things that causes my friends to be thrown off! I hope that my flaws does not affect my relationship with friends here in Ponyville!

More like what have people not made fun of me for? I thought this all ended in middle school, but apparently even post-high school/college it's still there... Even worse than high school. =/

- My eating habits. If there's one thing that every. single. person. ever. has to comment on, it is my eating habits. The thing is that I have a bad gag reflex, and that prevents me from eating a lot of things. My pickiness is not a matter of choice. Thus, I always stick to what I know. It doesn't waste money, and it doesn't make me sick. (it's very embarrassing to be unable to eat something in public, especially when somebody else paid for it for you. Totally has happened to me. =( ). But anyway, like at work I typically eat the same thing every single lunch-break. So they always pick on me for that, and then I get picked on for every little other detail. Like if I bring cereal, everybody comments why I eat it dry without milk. I'm allergic to milk! And no matter how many times I tell them, they still ask every single time. -_- (Why does it matter so .... much that I eat my cereal dry anyway? Why do my eating habits matter at all to begin with?!)

- The instrument I play. Don't get me wrong, I have never let this one get to me (my instrument is just too awesome for them), and it's not been a particularly common occurrence having surrounded myself mostly by other musicians.

- Not always perfectly fitting into my gender role. Again, this one happens mostly at work. I really feel like I've gone back to middle school... I thought people had grown out of this.

- For having values. Of course, I'm not talking about the conservative Christian "values", I'm talking more that I've been raised conservatively on relationships and the time for, well, you know. I'm less uptight than my parents, but I guess I'm still way too uptight for others. I find this funny considering I'm in the Bible Belt, and I have more values for this than the self-proclaimed "good Christian" at my workplace. xD

- Specifically at work: My choice of using a single (one-person) restroom instead of the other multi-stalled restrooms. I know... This one is ridiculous, but it has even got comments. They're all like "Why don't you come use the restroom with us?" and I'm like "Noooo..." I'm not a social person when using the bathroom, which makes me weird, I guess. I need my space.

tl;dr version: People care way too much about stuff that doesn't matter, and seem to have an inclination to pry way too much into my business. -_-

Ah yes. Time to be pessimistic...

1. Not being good at most sports. People expect you to be good at all sports even if you don't practice them at all. Weird, didn't know we lived inside a movie. :P

2. My looks. (It's fair to say most everyone struggles with this)

3. Getting embarrassed easily, especially when I was younger. So I drop a candy wrapper? *blushes* Someone calls me a "gopher"? *cries* Thank goodness I'm almost over that mess...

lol

For not looking "feminine enough," I've actually had times when people come up to me asking what my gender was and when I say I'm female, people ask that I prove it...

For not being "friendly enough," I'm a private person most of the time and I just like to listen to other people talk, guess this wasn't enough for some.  Apparently, it's rude of me to be quiet :\...

I blush very easily and it's something that I wish I had more control over but I don't.

For not being knowledgeable on the latest trends.

etc...

Funny how some would put emphasis on things that don't really matter that much........

Let me see here...

- For being clumsy sometimes

- Minding my own business

- For being different

I don't understand sometimes why people can't just leave you alone...

I suppose what people have made fun of me for more than anything else is that I have Autism which came with it a fair number of quirks that were regarded as a little bit weird some of which I still have to this day like rocking back and forth when I am sitting down for example (I am doing it right now as I am typing). And it also made it a lot more difficult for me to interpret different social rules and cues which made me a tempting target for bullies and trolls to take advantage of me. Now I have advanced to the point where most people cannot tell I have Autism but even as far in my life as high school it was fairly obvious that I was "different" which is apparently a mortal sin to some people.

Aside from that I also got made fun of occasionally for my weight, sure I have a belly and have long stuggled with trying to get rid of it but I at least have some muscle under there which I can thank partially to genetics and partially to an intense weight lifting regimen which honed me into one of the strongest people in the locker room at school. I really need to get back into that as I have grown soft and want to take better care of myself. Currently when people make fun of me it is usually for my political views, I am a libertarian and proud of it but because of that I espouse views which are not "mainstream" so I get attacked from the far left as some racist, sexist hatemonger who wants to throw people out on the streets and from the far right as some amoral crackpot who apparently wants the "terrorists" to win.

My autism. To the point that I was harassed so much at a camp I really enjoyed that I never went there again. I still fantasize about comebacks I could've made to the people there

  • For my friends.
  • For my shyness.
  • Etc.

Several things. Not too many though. I'll just use the format the poster above me used as it seems effective and simple.

  • The fact that I fall asleep during class too much
  • The fact that I'm quiet
  • Looks (this applies to most people)
  • Not much else actually.

I definitely got make fun of in school. I have horrible vision and people, including a few friends, made fun of me and said my glasses were "magnifying lenses". Then there was my weight. I made the mistake of wearing a jack-o-latern shirt one year for halloween and all the bullies then called me "Pumpkin" from then on. Bleh.

My physical appearance, and how I'm always quiet/shy all of the time. I can't help it, it is just how I am but people don't understand. It is just a cruel world that we live in.

What I have been made fun of for... There are a lot of things, but one big thing is...

Being asian.

Back in elementary, they called me names like "ching chong" and squinted their eyes. Of course now they've grown up.

Today, I still get made fun of, but I've basically accepted it.

My friends and a few people I randomly know call me "asian".

Like, they say "sup asian?" or "run asian, run!" in a more friendly, joking manner.

My height  used to get talked about a lot until I became around the same height as the people that did that. I'm still short for a 16 year old though, only about 5'5.

My little brother likes to make fun of me for looking at MLP stuff even though he likes the show too.

Pretty much only for my looks, in elementary and middle I was kinda fat but not obese. It made me convince myself I was fat and I started working out, since then never been picked on because I was muscular plus Im really tall for my age (6'3" and Im 14 years, probably because dutch people are really tall)

The only thing I've ever been bullied about is my minor speech impediment (it's kind of like speech-dyslexia, I screw up and mix my words around alot or pronounce them wrong). Other than that, I've been teased for being too skinny but that's never really bothered me. And of course pretty much every friend and family member has made a snarky comment at one point about my anime obsession.

-My last name is Trinkle. That somehow fueled 10 years of ridicule from 6 differnt schools.

-my sense of style. You only want to get pantsed while wearing white underwear once.

-i where glasses. At a young age I looked very much like harry potter. To a near identical degree.

-I never made friends. Which spawned rumors. I'll leave it at that.
