I wanted an avatar that was fitting for a site dedicated to all things pony(well maybe not ALL things). Plus the appearance and colours used somewhat resemble my own identity, minus the blue coat and other pony-specific attributes. Roughshod's perpetual scowl is perfect for my conception of him.
