Eh, well i'm like 5'9 or so, so yeah i don't get discriminated for height.

I've seen others who've been told their short and had jokes made about them, but they really don't seem to get offended frankly.

So idk.

I don't see whats wrong with being short, and why being tall is all that useful in alot of cases frankly ;p. I think its a pretty trivial thing, but idk.

Ugh, why do people feel the need to be cruel to others so much, I just don't get it. Personally I haven't been made fun of for my tall height yet, but I imagine that may change sometime in the future, and I have seen a lot of stupid insensitive jokes and hateful words been directed towards short people.

I'm just above average height, but I have a friend who is a guy and is 5'1". He gets a lot of rough for his height, especially since his girlfriend is tall for a female, around 5'6" or 5'7". Personally, I think their relationship is adorable. They look great together,

I've never been discriminated (it's difficult when you're 6.6 feets/1.93 meters :P) but that happened to one of my friend.

I think it's really nosense, what's the bad thing in being too tall or too short?

Short people aren't less smarter than tall ones or vice versa.

With all the more serious problems in this world IMO it's stupid to bully someone, especially for this kind of things.

I have never been discriminated because of my height, but I think it is really dumb that people do this. The human race continues to prove how it needs to go extinct...

Also, I'm 5'11. I don't know if that is considered average or tall.

In the airline industry it is legal for them to discriminate against height. I believe fire fighters must be a certain height too. When I was applying to be a flight attendant, many of the bigger airline were out for me since I'm 5'2in tall. Or short. Now it doesn't bother me, I live with tall people!

Yep.I've always been short. I was never allowed to ride certain amusement park rides until I was probably 15. Stupid height restrictions....

i'm 5'6'' now.People always ask me "Can't you reach it?"  I'm just like"Seriously?" I can barely reach on top of the fridge without standing on my toes. I don't mind being short, it has it's advantages, like shopping in the kids section for clothing (which are usually rather cheaper).

Though I have trouble riding big road bikes...because of the tallness of most frames....I end up having to have the seat slammed to ride them....same goes for any bike with a frame larger than 17''

as for discrimination, I just kinda deal with it. Doesn't bother me too much.

I always wanted to be a Stormtrooper....

Height discrimination is a travesty! Edward Elric is just as good as everybody else, who cares is he is a little shorter?

On a more serious note, I think most forms of discrimination is BS. Ooh, someone is a little tall, or short? I don't even understand the basis of this form of discrimination, as it just seems rather silly to me. Somebodies height is the last thing I'd think of that somebody would get made fun of for. So in the end, I honestly don't care if somebody is tall or short. I like to look at the bright side of things. Anyways, this is my final opinion on height discrimination. This is how I feel about people who are too tall/too short/too average.

I have this collagen disorder, where all my joints go past the point where they would normally stop. Because of this, I'm able to get more height than most by going on tip-toe. It's bad for my joints to do this, but sometimes I need those extra inches!

I don't know if you would consider 5'5" being short, but everybody that is younger than me is taller. I don't actually mind being short because there are things that I can do that taller people can't. Just got my height from my mom.

I'm 196cm (I belive it's someeting like 6'5'') I never was discriminated cause of height and never saw someting like that, but of cause there always friendly jokes about height (my best friend is pretty short - someting like 5'7''). But I think it's possible espesially if guy is something like 5' or smaller.

I think it's quite ridiculous.
It doesn't differ in any way, shape, or form from discrimination against weight, skin colour, or other such attributes.
I'm personally a rather tall guy - 187 cm (Or 6'2'' to those of you out there, who still don't recognize that the metric system is superior to Imperial)
Height discrimination should not exist, but neither should any other kind of discrimination.
And, as always, and no matter how clichéd it might sound, in the end, it's what's inside what counts.

Hmmmm... I'm 191 cm myself or 6'3" and I stopped growing at around 16 or 17 years of age. Now that I really think about it, I think I've been at the receiving end it too. How? Back when I was in grade school, the fact that I've been a sensitive individual as well as having been fearful of violence made me an attractive target to bullies. There's something satisfying about breaking down a tall person, isn't it? Well, had I had this attitude of being ready to die a warrior's death, I think things would have turned out differently. All bullying stopped once I stepped up to fight a person who thought he could beat me. That happened in middle school. By high school, I had become quite good at damping my emotions, giving me the appearance of a frigid and fearless machine. More intimidating than hieght and muscle is fearlessness. I remember some time ago someone just slightly taller than me thought he could boss me around. When I held my ground and told him off while feeling suicidal in my conviction. Well, I could see the hesitation in his eyes.

Who would even.. What I don't... What is this?

That has to be the dumbest kind of discrimination I have ever heard of. I don't know why I even bother if people who judge others for their HEIGHT are on this planet.

This seems so stupid that I wasn't even aware it was a thing. Why should height matter?

Sure, there are things in theme parks that say you must be so tall to ride but that is for safety measures. I don't see why it would be socially acceptable to make fun of anybody for their height.

I guess it's just the sad reality of society today (if you can even call it "society") - it seems to me that more and more things are becoming "acceptable" due to people just not caring. Just as mocking somebody for their weight or age is apparently "acceptable" as well. :c

I don't really think height discrimination is all that big a deal as long as you're not serious about it.

The difference is this:

Wow, they're short/tall, but they could still be cool, and I'd still be friends with them.

or

Wow, they're short/tall, I wouldn't wanna hang out with them because they creep me out.

If people are seriously not wanting to get to know someone or be friends with them because of their height, they're obviously not worth being friends with in the first place, is what I think. So short or tall people, if you're being discriminated by someone, just ignore them because they're obviously not worth getting along with, no matter who they are.

I was unaware that this was a thing but if your making friends based only off of their height I think somethings a bit wrong with that friendship, mind you me and my friends tease each other about each others height all the time.

Well I'm personally short (I'm 18 years old and only 4'11").  Friends have joked around and I don't care, as long as I'm not in a bad mood.  However, I've had people not wanting to be my friend because I'm short or apparently don't look my age.  I've also walked into places for a job and they don't take me seriously because I'm short.  However, if people will start riots because, oh they're short, I think that's silly.  On the other hand, I don't think it's right for people to be rude and not hire you or be your friend because of it, but people still shouldn't riot.  I don't mind being short anymore, it's just when people are rude about it to me.

I'm the shortest guy in my grade in school.

Bahh. It sucks. Especially playing baseball, which, although I don't label myself as this, makes me an athlete. Short guys in sports get no love. Plus, one time, I was trying to date a girl from school, who, honestly, was taller than me, but...

SHE SAID NO BECAUSE SHE LIKED TALL GUYS!

I think little people are adorable...

That's all I really have to say on the subject. Little people shouldn't be treated any differently than giants.

That's harsh dude, not something new though. Height is a preference for many, don't let it get to you. Also, regarding sports I know that all too well. lol Funny how people just assume that if you're tall you're better at sports.. It makes a lot more sense that shorter people are better at sports, since you're faster and more agile then your opponents. For example, I'm good at basketball, also regarding football Messi is 169 (5'6.5") which is the same height as I am and he is one of the best football players out there. So, those who think short people are bad at sports are mistaken.

There are plenty of handsome short people, also you going for a taller girl says a lot about you. It means that you're confident in your height, keep it up because girls like confident guys.

I've never had this problem. As a guy standing at 6', an average height, it's unlikely I'll ever be treated badly because of it. Hard to imagine that anybody would face any kind of discrimination or mistreatment for their height these days. Now if somebody wasn't given a job because they were too tall or short for the type of environment they'd be required to work in or the type of work being done, that I could understand. Can't violate physics. For those afflicted with dwarfism and are ridiculed or excluded from things in which height wouldn't matter, that's entirely different.

Throughout my life so far I've met very few people who seemed to be so short that it would make everyday life difficult. Nobody has ever complained to me about it either. I'm not dismissing it as a trivial thing, though I can't imagine it being terribly commonplace.

I always wanted to be a Stormtrooper....

Being too tall is also problematic for stormtroopers.

I don't see much of that actually. Usually around school we'll have a couple of jokes about a short kid, but they laugh because they know it's a joke. I've never been discriminated against personally though, probably because I'm a little above average height for someone my age.
