What motivates you?

Everyone has something that motivates them to achieve their goals. Whether it be encouragement from friends and family or dreaming of seeing yourself at the top. Either way, there is something that gets you going and gives you a reason to keep pushing on. So, I ask all of you, what is it? What is it that gives you that surge of energy to continue, no matter how grim the circumstances seem for you? The courage to face your greatest fears? The persistence to keep trying until you reach the top?

 

Sounds a bit too dramatic, huh?

A lot of different things can motivate me. You know when people think you can't do something, and you just have to prove them wrong? That definitely motivates me. Also, if I am excited about something, I'll certainly be motivated to work harder on it.

What motivates me? My looser relatives, cousins, and uncles. Why?

 

To be honest, I fear every day that I become just like them, and I don't want that future to come true, like living in an apartment, not having a real career, or being a father at a young age.

 

So they inspire me to make sure I never be like them one day, their stupidity, negligence, and failures inspire me to become better and superior than they will ever be.

 

Sounds harsh the way I described them, but if you lived my life, you'll know why.

When a person starts to doubt my abilities and what I'm able to do, I take their negativity to help me make myself better than I ever was before. My family and friends inspiring me to do anything to the best of my abilities, show that any support can catapult me to the next level so that I can achieve and accomplish anything I set my mind to.

I know this sounds so cliche, but in terms of what motivates me to be a kind and caring person, basically it's my hope for the betterment of society. Why am I so nice and caring? Because I feel it's truly possible to progress society in some degree, perhaps to a new era of enlightenment if a certain amount of people tried hard enough. I believe in true equality and rights for all men, despite their creeds or values, and the dream, even if it is far-fetched, of seeing equality come to pass is what drives me forward.

In terms of school, basically I just look to my Uncle and thing "I never want to be him" XD

I'm motivated to be as good as I can be to get into as good of a college as I can (ideally an Ivy League or something comparable) so that I can be as successful as possible doing things that I love instead of menial jobs that I hate just to get by.

Nope, can't say i've ever had any motivation to do anything. I have no discernible skills or talent whatsoever and have never truly strived to better myself outside of simply being a good human being, i guess i've just been living my life a little too comfortably up to now to care... Knowing that others in this world need me.

 

Everyday there is someone feeling not loved, or sad or lonely or all of those things! and its my job to help them. Help them see how wonderful they are, and to help them see that all those mean things that other have said about them are just lies.
