How old must one be to partake in enjoying an alcoholic bevarage?

I, personally, believe that one would have to be 21, as in 'Murica.

I have a feeling that the drinking would be a bit younger in Equestria, 18 possibly even as young as 16 (I am going by fanfics here). I read this one hilarious Futurama crossover fic where Bender introduced alcohal to Equestria and it caused a national crisis because everyone went nuts and got shitfaced.

For one thing, I don't think there is a law about the legal drinking age in Equestria. For another, I don't think it will ever be brought up in the show because of the target demographic.

 

Lastly, for those of you bringing up Super Speedy Cider Squeezy, you saw how the cider was made, right? They literally just squeezed the juice out of the apples and sold it. That's not hard cider. That's completely non-alcoholic.

I think it is, why would they show exactly 21 candles otherwise? I know it's not much to go by, but the mane 6 all seem fairly young. And since most do live alone it's not too much to assume that'd be about right.

Nah. What do you mean "exactly 21 candles" ? If they had 18 candles or 23 candles, would you still say "you could see exactly X candles on the cake, therefore she is this age"

 

Not all cakes has the number of years as candles. When my family make cakes we just put a bunch candles on them to make it look cool. I'm not saying I'm right but you can't say that anything is confirmed just by looking at the cake

 

Anyways.. back to the drinking, I doubt that ponies would even want to drink alcohol And it would never be in the show anyways so basically it doesn't exist there x)
