now that i have gotten well into the community i have changed my favorite  from Rainbow dash to twilight sparkle. after watching the show i see how complex she is and i even even developed a crush(non clop ) on her.

I have 2 favorite ponies, 1st is Twilight, mainly because I share her love for magic and books and 2nd is Pinkie Pie, and my reason for that is because she defies the law of gravity and she is so unique.

My favorite pony is Fluttershy.  There are many reasons why, but it would take too long to post them (I'm about to start work), and I would probably scrap the whole post because I may feel I put too much work into it.  I hate it when that happens.  Anyways, yes, it's Fluttershy.

 

My favorite secondary character is Princess Luna, who is followed very closely by her sister, Princess Celestia.  I'm still waiting on that heartbreaking episode(s) about how they rose to power, and Luna's descent into darkness.

 

My favorite background character is Derpy Hooves.  I like how she was given the name by the fans and how she only pops up every once in a while in the show.

Oh well. My favourite from the mane 6 is of course fluttershy. I prefer pegasi over all else, and the fact that she has one of the sweetest voices.

My 2 favourite secondary characters are Scootaloo and Princess Luna (of course since you can tell from my avatar). Scootaloo is because she has that certian personality that I prefer. Its quite wierd since I didnt pick rainbow dash over fluttershy but that's just me.

Last, my 2 favourite background pony's are Lyra and teh DJ pon3 (which if I can remember, I think that's Scratch).

Luna is my favorite. If you combined Luna's general dark persona and social awkwardness and Twilight Sparkle's need to be a perfectionist and love of knowledge and magic, you would get me, but personally I think Luna's just cooler. I mean, she's princess of the night! What's not to love?

 

Fluttershy is my favorite of the mane six, because she's who I was as a kid....EXACTLY who I was! Shy, quiet, afraid of doing everything. Plus she's just too darn cute and has some of the funniest lines.

Spike is not my number one favorite character, for that is a two way tie between Luna and Applejack but I like Spike too though.
