What if everyone became a brony?

I'm not sure if this is in the right section, so if it isn't, could someone fix that?  Also, I'm not sure if a similar topic already exists.

Anyways, I was thinking: what if everyone in the world (or at least everyone with technology) instantly became bronies?  What results would arise if that happened?  I think it would probably be a good thing for mankind, but since it's never happened before, there's no way for me to think of an accurate result.  What do you think?

Wow, tough question. It's very hard to imagine.

If the show becomes that popular, it should be a good thing I think. But I'm not sure... It would be very weird that everybody like MLP:FIM, and it'll influence the directors of the show.

I'm not sure if I'd like that everybody talk about it...

It would be very weird, and I probably wouldn't like MLP that much.

Mostly because a whole world of bronies is just... weird to imagine.

MLP wouldn't be so special anymore if everyone, everywhere loved it. It's great to be part of a more personal community with its own jargon, associated images, quotes, and such.

Not to mention my raging jealousy and wonder at why no other show could ever be this good and this popular would be amped Up To Eleven.

It would be boring as heck and I wouldn't feel that I was in a very special community anymore.

Most likely I'd get tired of it.

I think the world would be a lot more peaceful. Everyone would realize that having money and power isn't everything, and would give to those who are in need, instead of wasting money on pointless wars. If a country was lacking resources, they would just trade with another country, and if they didn't have enough to trade, other countries would help out by donating resources, or starting up apprenticeship programs or worker exchange programs (they already have something like that where people work for companies in foreign countries).

And everyone would work towards making a human version of Equestria :D

#2mainstream4me, I'm leaving the fandom guiz.

But in all seriousness, I think if everyone on the planet unanimously agreed that the show was excellent, we'd definitely see a lot more of it, and MLP would end up like the Simpsons, chugging along with 26 seasons and a drought of good ideas on display. It would be like, quite literally, beating a dead horse.

I'm glad that MLP hasn't reached worldwide popularity, because typically, everything that does ends up getting flogged to death by endorsements, product placement, an over-abundance of media, and just a huge clusterf*** of watered-down content. It would be a nightmare!

Seeing as how the brony community is much more diverse that some people in this thread seem to be giving it credit for, I have my doubts that much would change.  That isn't to say that things WOULDN'T change, but I just really don't buy into this "better world" idealistic utopia stuff.  First, I think there would still be anti-bronies, and I think their behavior would become much more aggressive.  Secondly, as much as I love MLP, a "universal love" scenario would probably quickly become extremely obnoxious.  Heck, I find some aspects of this fandom obnoxious as it is.  Call me a pessimist if you want, but honestly I don't find posts about an earthly utopia even close to being realistic.

I just mentioned in another post about how I do not understand the obsession many bronies have about the fandom. Why is it so important that everyone you know (and don't know, in this case) like the same show you like?

Eh, I think a good portion of it stems from bronies wanting to have people who they can talk about the show with.  I understand the need, to some extent.  I mean, yeah people can find communities like this that are brony centric and chat to their heart's delight, but there's plenty of bronies that don't know many or any other bronies in real life and would like to share time with them.

Having said that, there is one problem.  Bronies are just as human as anybody else.  The fandom already has plenty of people that like to distance themselves from one another for various reasons, and that sure the hell isn't going to change just because there's more bronies.  There would still be people distancing themselves from elements and people of the fanbase they don't like.  There'd still be tensions and hatred and disagreements about things both related and unrelated to ponies.

It is an interesting thought.  It would give current bronies more bronies to talk with so it might help the feelings of isolation that some have.  It would bring the closet bronies to the light because the anti-bronies would be in the minority.

On the other hand, sometimes it's boring when everyone loves the same thing as you do.  Variety is good.

I doubt it would have a universal love peace effect because unfortunately even in the fandom there is a lot of anger and judgement very contrary to what MLP represents.

If everyone in the world liked the show then the show would be just like the simpson. It would go on for 20 more season. Get really....REALLY crappy after season 10 or so. Then keep going on forever becoming even more crappy with like 1 good episode for every 3 seasons.

Ya I wouldn't want it to pull a Spongebob haha!

Literally everybody in the entire world? That will be the only time I would fit in with society lol

There would be much more love and tolerance in the world, but then everybody will freak out like it's an apocalypse when there is just a small permanent change in the show or a movie not relating to it (EQG).

did I tell you that Hasbro will be world dictator?

My cider brings all the ponies to the yard and they're like its better than yours, damn right it's better than yours. I can teach you, but I have to charge
