What kind of college do you want to go to? (If you are in High School or younger)

What College are you in? (If you are currently in one)

What College did you go to, if you did (If you already graduated)

For me, I want to go to Yale in CT

I'm going to Missouri State University in Springfield (guess the state!), only because it gave me the best scholarship of all the colleges I applied to and my father works there.

For graduate/law school I'm thinking about going to University of Missouri, University of Chicago, Berkeley, or Georgetown.  Somewhere along those lines anyway.

Stanford University, though that would be considered idealistic to many. I think it's idealistic too, but I'm willing to take the gamble; if one of my relatives can do it, I don't see why I can do it, too.

I'm currently attending Robert Morris University, which is near Pittsburgh, PA. It's a medium-sized private college.

It's near where I live, and it has a pretty good Accounting program, so I decided on attending there.

We don't have college here, only basic school, high school and then university. ^^ Since I will attend the IB programme, it opens quite a lot of opportunities worldwide, but I don't know exactly what I want to do yet, so I'll just wait and see which ones I'll be able to get into and like to go to for now. :)

I want to go to Texas A&M Commerce :D

It's a nice little school, not too far away from where I live :D Not very expensive (for a college, at least) and just a pretty nice place overall :D

I went to a private Quaker college in the Midwest and studied abroad for a semester at a Japanese national university (which are considered more prestigious than private institutions in Japan) in the northern part of Honshu.

I got my degree in Japan Studies focusing on culture and I will be attending an online dog training school to be a certified dog training and behavior specialist. Anyone need a English-Japanese bilingual dog trainer?

I planned on going to a technology heavy college last year before I graduated High School, when I went to visit the college last summer I didn't like any of the college life except for the classes.

Thus I decided not to go to the college and I want to take college classes online.

I'm going to Humboldt State University next year.. a "stoner college" up in North California.

Oh well, at least they have good art and biology programs.

I have been through the IB program and to me it wasn't worth it :/

Let me guess--England? I lived there for two years and they were always SO proud that THEY didn't have colleges. What they failed to realize was that universities, at least here in the States, have multiple "colleges" within them. I am a university student at Utah State University, but I am part of the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education & Human Services. So, unless English universities do not have individual colleges within them, they are actually the same. My understanding of this is that a college is simply a subdivision.

Of course, this is all based on my assumption* that you are in fact English.

Why? I would definately like to know since I will soon attend the programme and not entirely sure if it's something for me either. :/

This is actually flattering for me, since I'm not English and don't live in England. xD

I'm finishing up at Redeemer University College, a private Christian university. They've got a growing Honours Biology program and their small community's what drew me in. Hey, there I am on their website

As for graduate school, I'm planning to go to either McMaster University for Biology or University of Toronto for Pharmacology. I'm leaning towards the latter right now, but I already have an offer from the former.

Intriguing. There's only a couple other places that come to mind with similarities. IDK about Canada or Australia (though I believe Australia has similar spelling to England), but I know there are countries in the EU that teach British spellings...Now, if you're American...that would just be really strange because it would just be considered incorrect on both accounts! haha

I made the guesses off of two facts which I already pointed to. So may I ask what other place doesn't claim to have colleges and spells like the British, or have I already guessed it?

I'd be more than happy to discuss the pros and cons of the IB program. I dont want to bombard this forum with a discussion about IB, so if you want to talk about it, send me a PM

:)

  • 3 months later...

I'd like to attend Auburn University. Phenominal sports teams, great Engineering school, and I'm an Auburn fan, which helps.
