Have anti-bronies ever had a problem with female bronies?

They seem to have a problem with grown men through their teens-adult, making immature comments and whatnot.

Have you ever seen an incident where any of them has had a problem with female bronies watching the show through their teens-adulthood?

If not, do you think so?

Now that you mention it, I haven't witnessed much of this. I'm sure someone out there has taken their jabs at female bronies for being "womanchildren", but by and large, I think males just make a much easier target because of the ease of making "gay"/"sissy" jokes.

People who are willing to make it their life duty to try stop adult from watching children's cartoons, are quite likely to be the same sort who have less social skill than the bronies they despise. Thus are likely to be too scared to even approach a woman - let alone try and insult them over watching cartoons.

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: Girls are usually expected by society to 'mature' faster than boys. It's bullshit, but that's the way it is. Anything that might indicate a failure to do may be subject to ridicule, by peers and by adults. Watching a show for 'little girls' when you're no longer a 'little' girl is not considered normal.

It's also less accepted for girls (or adult women for that matter) to be interested in anything remotely geeky. (I get that attitude enough for it to really grate on my nerves.)

When I'm a teacher, I swear to god that stereotypes are just going to be outright banned from my classroom. I'm sick to death of stereotypes. Everyone can love what they love as long as it's not interfering with anyone else.

There are a couple of female members on here that have said that they have gotten picked on for it and I am sure it happens but probably not nearly as much as it does with guys. Guys are a much easier target in this case for trolls because MLP is seen as feminine which is where all the "gay", "sissy" and to lesser but still significant extent "overgrown manchild" accusations come from. And even some haters seem to be more likely to accept teenage and adult females liking the show because it is "for girls" or its assumed that they grew up watching previous generations which is the case for some of them including my cousin but not all of them.

I have no idea. I've tried to find this out for myself a couple times in the past by baiting anti-bronies to see if they hate me too, even though i'm a girl brony. Never works though, no one responds to me ever :/

I get the feeling that they hate us just as much as the guys because they hate anything that has to do with MLP, but the insults that usually work against male bronies are mostly invalid to us.

They don't care, and most of them have no brain cells. They bash either gender, they just have a set of different stupid crap for the female fanbase.

I think is ridiculous to think only girls, adolescent girls, and grown women can enjoy MLP. The fact that men shouldn't just aggravates me to kick some close-minded bigot in the face. it's just dumb... so DUMB!

Yes but its the girls who arent ''hot'' who gets flack for it.

aka female bronies who might be overweight etc. Then again its probably because they're overweight because society is fcked up.

Because swaggots will still put their dick in anything that looks good no matter what the girl likes/thinks

Also worth mentioning that when they make fun of male fans of the show they take the most ''non normal'' person they can find and say that every brony is like that.

Later on, he even said: "I haven't watched the show, anyway. I can't really judge it."

Firstly, why can not normal haters be like this instead of constantly labeling us???

Personally, I try to explain this kinda thing to haters on the internet, but you just can't get through to them. No matter who they are picking on, guy or girl, if you watch mlp, you are an automatic target for hate. I'm pretty sure that we are the punchbag of the internet or some other suitable metaphor...

Aren't female MLP:FiM fans regarded as pegasister's? Or can they be regarded as both? I generally though girls get offended when referring to them as bronies. At least most of the people I don't know the gender yet do when I refer to them as a brony. They correct me and say something like, "well I'm actually a pegasister".

There are some that prefer being called Bronies, actually. But you are correct in being cautious and not assuming that all of us would want to be called "Bronies", so keep it up. =)

On Tumblr there are no female bronies because brony is only for filthy men who are not part of the target audience (Unlike 18 year old grills ofc) and any male who likes it is taking away from grills and are the only people who clop and clopping is bad because only men do it and it's for childern so it should not be sexualised unlike Pokemon.

Anywhere else a ponyfag is a ponyfag and that's that.

From my Tumblr experience, there are two types of female bronies. You have the ones like Pinkiepony who are oldschool MLP fans and 100% refuse to call themselves bronies by harassing those who label themselves as that (even though a brony is clearly an adult fan of MLP:FiM rather than the whole "taking the show away from little girls" crap) and you have adult women who label themselves as bronies. The latter often receives a lot of hate mail calling them "MRA fedora neckbeard" despite them not even being male... or MRA for that matter!

Guys are easier targets. But anyone with a pony avatar is given problems. Not always, I think girls get more problems from other girls and their parents. Just like guys, but since guys are an easier target it's worse.

This sentiment really sums it up for me. With girls the issue is really only maturity and that gets kind of deflated when you introduce other cartoons into the argument. With the guys... We have a tendency to be...

Really loud.
