I'm kind of really happy discord betrayed them. I mean, I was FURIOUS at first, but then I realized, he's been the "god of chaos" for WAAAAY longer than he's ever had friends. It makes sense it'd be easy for him to revert back to how he used to be. I like how Discord isn't just "oh he's good now, don't worry"

Welcome to the world of 22 minutes episodes. Having a 3 hours episode each week ( 6 hours for the finale   ) would be awesome, but they cannot do that.

It was an unneeded movie with a horrible and cliche-d plot with a villian that didn't make sense and didn't have enough exposition.

Before in the show it had always been hinted that the flight ability of the pegasi was 100% physicality. But Tiriak being able to steal their ability to fly goes to show that it is not as purely physical as thought.

I know there's the actions scene and the entire buildup for it but JUST LOOK AT THIS FOR A MOMENT OKAY?

I TOTALLY SHIP IT. IT'S LIKE A GUY ASKING A GIRL TO PROM AND I FIND IT TO BE A PERFECT MATCH SORRY ABOUT THAT.

 

I LOVED THIS EPISODE AND ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING ABOUT IT, SORRY FOR THE CAPSLOCK BUT I FEEL LIKE IT'S NECESSARY FOR AN EPISODE THIS GOOD.

Well Tiriaks power is to "eat" magic. And Celestia said that he directly took their ability to fly away. So that would mean that their flight is not 100% based on actual wing strength, but that magic plays a large role in it.

OK we were expecting this: Rainbow Power... But, it was not quite as stupid and overplayed as I thought it would be, although it was a

 

bit flashly and unnecessary. Yeah, I mean they could have done the whole Power of Friendship thing with out it, so it seems like RP was just put in to sell toys. You have to admit though, Rainbow Power Dashie was really awesome!

 This was really good. Epic fight scene, badass villain, nice character moments, good songs. It was really good. This is my new favorite finale. I'll come back when I can actually say something intelligent, instead of just fanboying.

Gee, might as well make this the official topic.

 

Anyway, I really enjoyed these episodes, especially the second one! I felt that the first one was mostly about Twilight complaining, but it was really nice to hear the princesses singing, and I liked the Discord moments as well.

 

Part two though! It was almost too sweet for me. I always love the animation in the parts with all the magic, like with Twilight and Tirek's duel and at the end with the chest. I don't know why Twilight's friends got thrones in her new castle; they're obviously not going to live there. XD I'll admit it's nice for Twilight to have a proper role now.

 

My favorite part was at the end when the rainbow flew by all the ponies/breezies/draconeques (I spelled that wrong) that had given all the keys
