Um, actually that was Kazumi Evans who did that song.

 

Weee! Guys! If you dont know this, SEASON 5 IS COMFIRMED YAY!

S5 has been in production for a while now and DHX posted a picture on their FB page of the VAs doing a session in Vancouver.

Curiously Tara Strong was in it.

Agreed, we were stunned they destroyed such an icon of the show.  I hope it was not because Hasbro wanted to sell a new playset.

It seems like, from season 2 onwards, Hasbro always gives the MLP team a simple instruction:

"here are some toylines, make them fit in somehow."

 

Season 2: Princess Cadence + Canterlot Wedding

Season 3: Crystal Ponies + Princess Twilight

Season 4: Rainbow Power + Twilight's Castle

 

So far the staff have done a pretty great job of dealing with it and making things work.

But what lengths will Hasbro go to next? The main threat to this show's quality will always be executive meddling.

I fear that the day will come when the show passes the point of no return, soiled for good.

Sadly, a lot of people have already believed this to be the case since Twilight first became an Alicorn.

 

I have faith in the writers though, they've been steering the boat very well so far despite Hasbro's attempts to rock the boat.

And the DBZ style fight sequence in the S4 finale strengthens my faith,

because it displayed the love and effort that is still going into the show from those who are making it.

 

I took it like they were saying "a return to the stupid one-shot duex ex machina resolution is coming up,

so here's an ACTUAL boss battle to make up for it." And boy howdy, did they make up for it.

who ever voiced tirek needs an award. that has to be the coolist voice acting (besides Discord) in the entire history of mlp. Also, im not very fond of the music in MLP but i enjoyed the songs in the episodes.A very good season final.

Apparently, the voice actor of Tirek is named Mark Acheson. He's not very famous...

agreed there friend I just hope hasbro isn't trying to make more money. I just love that tree and don't have the same attachment or connection to twilights palace as I did with that tree. R.I.P. Tree (2010-2014)

So now I have finally watched this, what a roller coaster of emotions that was! Discord's betrayal was sad, especially when Fluttershy realised it, no liquid pride there just pure tears of heartbreak. The ending was so uplifting and powerful and...and.. and I want those Rainbow Power ponies!!!! That was just amazing..especially Twi's acceptance and later forgiveness of Discord and...and..and her castle! But..but but the library! SO many things are rushing through my head now :D
