  1. I'm just going to be honest - I don't really care for country. At work they oftentimes play this modern country station and I just don't care for it. D: They once played a classic country station, it wasn't so bad. But I'm not posting here to hate! I try to be very open-minded to all kinds of music. I don't know if this can be counted as country, but it at least has a classic country feel, I like it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k49paH8plfY Also, believe it or not I actually like Bluegrass. (Yes, that is the only video of that particular recording. D: )
  2. However, on the reverse side of things you look at some posts in this topic and they also come off as a bit condescending themselves. You know with that tone of "Once you turn 21, you won't be like that anymore." I'm 23. Still have no interest in any of that stuff. I try not to be condescending. I believe people can do whatever they want with their own bodies. Just keep me out of it, is all I ask.
  3. I am very much straight-edge, and I am 23. I did try a beer, because I wasn't close-minded to the idea. However, the stuff was absolutely disgusting. I could only get a few sips in. It just isn't for me. Everybody tells me it is an acquired taste, but it is a taste which is not even remotely worth acquiring to me. The same goes toward drugs. I just find them so pointless. I'm not even going to be open-minded to them. I know the addictions that can be caused by them, and it's definitely not the kind of thing I want to get myself into. Although I would not consider myself 'hardcore punk'. I just don't don't see any reason whatsoever to drink or do drugs. I don't need that in my life, and it would take a lot to even get me into it. Again, just not a taste worth acquiring.
  4. Thank goodness. That's all I have to say.
  5. I want to be a band director. Also would love to teach to individual students and continue playing in ensembles myself.
  6. I guess I don't even understand the hate for Timeline. I see it as no different from any other Facebook/site change. People always complain, and yet the changes hardly if ever make any difference for me. So it always just looks like people are complaining about nothing. The only Facebook change I really don't care for is the automatic sorting of the feed being set to 'Top Stories' and not 'Most Recent'. Yet I never see anybody complaining about that...
  7. That's a really tough one for me. I chose the username 'Envy' for a reason, you know. I suppose what I do like is having black hair and brown eyes. I think they compliment each other very well.
  8. Definitely Barack Obama. Although in his second term he needs to come around on same-sex marriage and stop faith-based initiatives. It's just that between the two evils, I have to go with Obama. Every time. Although I'll take Romney over the other Republican candidates.
  9. I don't use Chrome, but I do have it and I set it to this some time ago. As much as I love Pinkie Pie, I much prefer Firefox where I don't have a set number of themes to choose from - I can make one very easily myself, which I did.
  10. Awww... But Within You Without You and She's Leaving Home are amazing songs.
  11. All I can think of when in regards to 'overrated' bands is Led Zeppelin. I like Stairway To Heaven, but beyond that none of their songs are for me. In fact, some of them (like Whole Lotta Love) are incredibly annoying and I don't understand how anybody could possibly like them.
  12. But I actually don't know anybody that owns an English horn, so I'm not really envious of anybody. =P
  13. I now have my own bassoon and tenor saxophone. Now all I need is an English horn and I'll have the three most bestest instruments ever.
  14. Do we really? Lol. Anyway, it's most definitely Animal Crossing City Folk for me. Not because I hyped it, but because it was just an incredibly mediocre game, and an awful 'sequel'. The whole game suffers from pure laziness. Pretty much anything on the Wii is a disappointment, but especially City Folk.
  15. This is going to sound silly - Twilight Princess. It's not as silly as it sounds though. I don't play games that I know I'd find scary. I see no appeal whatsoever in getting scared. I love Zelda games, though, and they usually have something in them that could be kind of scary. Twilight Princess in particular has this dungeon with really creepy looking Redeads. I can not stand them at all!
  16. Cedar. And the smell of new instruments.
  17. Futurama and King of the Hill have been my favorites in recent years. Back when I was younger I really enjoyed The Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, and Dexter's Lab. However, seeing as they aren't shown on TV these days and I haven't seen them since way back when I don't know how exactly I'd feel about them today. I'd think that I'd feel similarly, but on the other hand I used to love Ed, Edd, and Eddy, but a couple of years ago when I came back to it and watched the movie I no longer understood how I ever liked the show. Although maybe that's just the movie...
  18. I don't live in the UK, but I have dealt with that before. It was wild, sounded like boulders dropping on the roof. Funny thing was that it stopped for a second so I got to go outside, but then it started to come back and I could hear it coming from a mile away.
  19. I would most definitely try to stop the world from ending.
  20. I recently had that happen to me big time, and now I don't even feel like posting anymore. I really hate that, too. Especially when it's grammatical and spelling. I've seen members on the internet (not so much on this forum) become very rude about this. Including one time seeing one member asking a question and slightly misspelling a series-specific term that is hard to remember and an member who came to respond posting "Fix your misspelling or I will not answer your question". I don't believe the staff of that forum did a thing about it, which really sickened me. True, just because we're on the internet does not mean that we're not people. I've never understood the whole "don't take the internet so seriously" deal. Obviously sometimes members are just being sarcastic and sometimes we don't understand that because it's the internet, but other times members saying incredibly rude things that are intentional and then say "Lol don't take the internet so seriously." They're no different from any other bully. Or when members make sexist jokes. I just can't take those kind of jokes. No amount of telling me "it's just the internet" will ever make me not be offended by them. It's funny because you listed off a lot of my internet pet peeves. Although another one is mini-mods. Members who come into topics and call them stupid, pointless, and say "This needs to be locked, it's against the rules". As if posts saying that a topic needs to be locked/is stupid/pointless aren't against most forums' rules to begin with. Such hypocrisy annoys me - use the report button! Oh and @Evil OMG I hate Confuse Ray. Every time I play through a Pokemon game I get reminded of how annoying Confusion is. The ai gets confused and it clears up for them immediately, but when my Pokemon gets confused it is confused for five turns and hurts itself three or more of those turns. >.<
  21. To be fair, RDashFan85 never said anything about their intelligence. Anybody who thinks that being religious or not is related to intelligence doesn't know what they're talking about... So, yeah, when I see somebody call all Christians 'stupid' or 'idiots' that always bothers me. We do not all think that. In fact, I don't think that many do. But, yeah, hating all religious people? I don't think it's any secret that I do not care for organized religion, but a great number of religious people are actually good people. People are people, not their religion. Although I don't think RDashFan85 meant it that way.
  22. Definitely racism, sexism, homophobia. Continued acceptance of them in society and law also disgusts me. There is absolutely nothing that can light my inner flame as much as that.
  23. My name means... Well, I don't know for sure. It varies. Sometimes 'admirable', sometimes 'rival', and I originally saw it mean 'artistic'. I haven't seen that definition in forever, though. Middle name means 'crowned with laurel'.
  24. Well there are a lot more options than were included in the poll. For example there are I believe four or more very different types of Judaism. The poll couldn't cover everything. Besides, most atheists are Agnostic atheists. Even I am. Although only to a very, very, very slight extent in regards to the God of the Abrahamic religions. It's true that they aren't religions, but do you think it would be fair to leave them out of this poll?
  25. Personally, I have a very hard time believing that Westboro Baptist Church are even sincere in their beliefs.
