Keep a page of staffs with you to write notes down. And if you don't know how to read/write music, then it'll be much more difficult. Theory always helps, too.

The thing that gets me the most is "of", when used as a phononym for the contraction of "have": could of, would of, should of. It feels like people who write this way never paid attention to language arts in elementary school, or they're writing phonetically. Argh, 'tis very annoying!

There better not be aliens on Mars, I own several thousand acres up there Lol actually not personally, but my micronation claims about a million acres (the entirety of the Hellas Planitia basin and surrounding highlands) on Mars, so if there's aliens up there we're looking at an interplanetary war!

What does your family think of MLP-FiM?
websterhamster replied to Misterian's topic in Sugarcube Corner
My family thinks it's great! My brother watches it, I watch it, my mom watches it when we show it to her, and my dad is kinda oblivious... but then he's almost deaf so when we talk about ponies I'm not sure he quite gets it. But everyone is cool with ponies, they're awesome. Don't know about my extended family, although I'm fairly certain they know I'm a brony... I'll bet some of them watch the show too -

I was just wondering, how often do the Station ID's run? Like every thirty minutes or something like that? And now I have the minimum characters. -

Hey there! I saw that you haven't gotten anything yet, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm not really a celebrity (someday, someday...) but I do have a nice microphone so here you go! https://db.tt/L9IHhLdb -

So, does this use the BronyModPack via Feed the Beast? I might be able to help, depending on if it uses a mod pack or not, and if so which one. (my computer has a substandard processor and is old, so some modpacks make it unhappy).- 2 replies

Religion implies requires worship. I'm pretty sure most bronies don't worship Princess Celestia. I know that there is absolutely nothing to worship in Star Trek (unless you count the Prime Directive and since we don't have midichlorians in our cells, none of us will be likely to worship the Force anytime soon. However, one definition of "worship" is what you do the most, or what you focus on. There are people who worship coffee. There are people who worship alcohol. Thus, if someone does pony stuff all the time then you could say that they are a member of the brony cult religion . I think that most people are still strongly aligned with one of the major religions, though (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, etc.) I don't see fandoms replacing that anytime soon.

Any up for a MLP/Mixed Fandom Podcast?
websterhamster replied to DrWhoFan's topic in Vinyl's Creative Resources
I would indeed be interested in this, as I have a good mic and am not only a brony but a Star Wars nerd and somewhat of a Trekkie. -
I sent you a PM. I hope I can help! Random words to get to the word count. Marshmallows are delicious, aren't they? Especially with chocolate and graham crackers!

Perhaps I'm odd, strange, weird (that was actually my nickname in 1st grade) and twisted, but if I come across something that wants to kill me or is evil, I would have no qualms with dispatching it promptly. Yes, killing anything is terrible, but you gotta do what you gotta do, right? No use tearing yourself up about it, because it has to be done anyway. No, I do not ever plan to enlist in the army, lol.

Parents telling little girls to NOT watch MLP?
websterhamster replied to Sergios117's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I had many words with my mother on this. Although I became a brony recently, and I'm 18, she staunchly defends the reactions of these parents. She says that being a mother (I dunno about fathers, when I become one in a few years then I'll let you know) is a lot of work, and that they never have time to adequately research something before making a decision on whether it's safe for their child or not. Thus, they tend to jump to conclusions a lot. I know my mom did this to me forever, in fact it wasn't until I was 18 that I was able to start learning some basic self-dependency stuff that most 16-year-olds can do. I believe the first episode of Star Trek Voyager sums thatu' up. I think that this kind of parenting is lazy and destructive. This is my opinion, and I know I'll get flak and flames for it, but I think that if you're a parent, no matter your circumstances, that is your primary job. If you're too busy to actually figure out what is good for your kids and what isn't, then you're waaaay too busy to be a parent. No, I'm not a parent. But I read all of my mom's parenting books to help her because she never had time to read them. TL;DR These parents are lazy and should rethink their priorities before teaching their kids that it doesn't matter what's in the book, the cover tells all. EDIT: On reading this post it seems like I am belittling parents. No I'm not. I have great respect for parents who try to do their best, and I understand that these parents are doing just that. I don't like it when people go one mile, but not the extra mile when it's just so easy. Seriously guys, do a little research before calling me a pedophile. I teach piano to young children! I am not a pedophile. -
A little constructive critisizem needed.
websterhamster replied to gardian20's topic in AK Yearling's Writing Resources
Actually, when she saves Rarity during the Young Fliers Competition she also saves three other ponies, the Wonderbolts, so she apparently can carry at least four full-grown ponies at a time. That's in Season 1, Episode 16. -
technology Any Cheap gaming laptops or PC's?
websterhamster replied to SuperFlapjack's topic in Media Discussion
Like I said, you do have to look for deals and such. But here in the States $600USD (which is the equivalent of 400GBP) would not get you anything new that would qualify for gaming purposes. The rig you describe could not be bought new for the budget of $600. However I have been building computers since I was 7 and I have great faith in eBay, Craigslist, and second-hand computer stores. But you will have to do some shopping and bargain hunting in order to get a gaming rig for this price. It is completely possible, my brother has put together a (relatively, to me) impressive machine for probably under $300. But he had to buy each part one at a time, when he found good deals. -
technology Any Cheap gaming laptops or PC's?
websterhamster replied to SuperFlapjack's topic in Media Discussion
I am not familiar with the economy in Great Britain, but in the US your budget would barely get you a cheap budget PC. By its very definition, "Gaming PC" means an amped up PC with good graphics, fast processor, and lotsa memory. However, don't let your hopes be crushed. I am currently gaming on a probably 5 year old desktop that was given to me by someone in my church. You can probably get a used computer for significantly cheaper than a new one and then upgrade components one at a time. Good luck! I hope you are successful in your quest. -
Your first song you learned on a instrument
websterhamster replied to Moniker's topic in General Discussion
What, no option in the poll for other instruments? I play the piano, pennywhistle, and English handbells, in addition to my voice. I think the first song I learned on the piano was probably "Three Blind Mice" or something, same for the whistle. First song on the bells was Jacob's Ladder. First song I sang? Waaaaaaay too long ago for me to remember- 71 replies

How To Be Original in Fanfics
websterhamster replied to Sergios117's topic in AK Yearling's Writing Resources
Hay there, I think this is a great guide! One thing though, I don't think the Mane 6 would necessarily freak out if you told them they were a show, they probably either wouldn't believe you or would react the same way you would react if a pony came and told you were just a show. -
