  1. An episode where Spike and Starlight travel through time and witness various pieces of pony history first hoof. And we call it... Starlight and Spike's Excellent Adventure I'll give a free internet cookie to anyone who gets the reference. (WARNING: Internet cookie not actually valuable or edible.)
  2. To be honest, I've been thinking for a while that these three should be in an episode together for a while, and this would certainly be an interesting way of doing so.
  3. That's a tough one. But if I HAD to choose, I would choose Celestia's Ballad. No matter how many times I watch the episode, I still get a bit emotional during this song. The combination of the song itself and the visual of the hallway filling with clips from previous episodes helps add to the feeling that this is a culmination of three seasons of pony, and of Twilight's character arc and journey to this moment. Absolutely love it.
  4. Well IF the film is the end of the series (and mind you, I'm not someone who supports/agrees with that theory) I have a theory that the film will end with the storybook from the opening of the first episode closing, then a fade to black. If that happens, I will be reduced to tears instantly
  5. I think it depends on how well this one does. Unlike FiM, where the toy sales are good enough where I could see the show continuing for the foreseeable future, EqG has been a lot less successful recently. The toy sales for Friendship Games were really bad, so if this one doesn't do better on that front, we may not get another film. If we do, I imagine they may wait until 2018, so that it isn't stealing any thunder from the FiM movie.
  6. It was great. The song, the action, everything. I felt like I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. One of my favorite if not my absolute favorite scenes in all of EqG. Magic of friendship is OP, Hasbro please nerf.
  7. Definitely, although "grown to like" implies I didn't initially, which isn't really true for me, I never had an issue with her redemption. I think she has definitely made a positive contribution to this season, and all of her episodes thus far has been great, in my opinion. In terms of her character, I am impressed that they have managed to keep some of her previous personality traits, examples include being somewhat manipulative (getting Spike to stall meeting Sunburst in The Crystalling), jumping to the easiest solution as opposed to the best one(casting the talking spell on Big Mac), and being emotionally unstable (her reaction to Trixie saying she only befriended her to get back at Twilight). Overall, I do quite like the "new" Starlight Glimmer, if you like that term.
  8. I definitely liked this one. So it looks like the map is back. As as its first order of business it sends Pinkie and Rarity on a mission to Canterlot. It's interesting that we've gotten two Pinkie/Rarity episodes this season. But anyways, I quite liked the dynamic between them in this episode. The father/daughter restaurant owners also had a great dynamic, and it was great to see them reconcile at the end. The song was great, and a bit of a different style too. I really liked the moral in this episode, and I think that it's very important, especially nowadays. The Internet is a wonderful thing, but as a result, people tend to be influenced by others' opinions a bit too easily. While obviously you should listen to and respect the opinions of others, it is important to form your own as well. Overall, great episode that definitely was a good way to leave us off before the hiatus. 9.5/10
  9. Um, no. Nonononono no. No. Part of the reason I'm excited for this movie is being able to see the shows unique animation took to the next level for a feature film and see it on the big screen, not to have it look like everything else coming out nowadays.
  10. I got the Ghostbusters theme stuck in my head. They were showing the original movie at my local theater today (I'm assuming to promote the new one) and me and a friend (who had never seen it) went to see it. And the song has been there since.
  11. How do they pick things up? Because cartoon, that's why.
  12. Would they, given the opportunity? Absolutely. Should they? I see no reason for them to, honestly. MLP/Hasbro in general is doing fine on its own. I wouldn't necessarily panic if it did happen, because Disney usually gives total creative freedom to the brands they buy out, meaning that Marvel is still controlled by the same people as it was before, and Lucasfilm is still controlled by the same people it was before (minus of course the departure of George Lucas, but he was going to retire anyway).
  13. So I was busy yesterday and just got around to watching this. And....I liked it. I didn't love it, but I liked it. So yeah, I guess Fluttershy has a brother. Let's talk about him. Well first off, I found him a bit obnoxious, but in a "love to hate" kinda way. He was obnoxious enough that you could see why the characters might get a bit annoyed by him, but not enough to annoy us, the audience. His flirting with Rainbow Dash was...well it was something. I definitely felt bad for Fluttershy's parents in this. Especially the part when Zephyr was destroying the father's cloud collection and he was desperately trying to save it. I thought the resolution was pretty good, and I hope we see Zephyr again, in a successful mane stylist position. Overall, pretty good episode. 8.5/10
  14. Well I've said this before and I'll say it again, the one thing I don't like in this otherwise wonderful fandom is the negativity. I understand that not everyone is going to enjoy every episode, but it gets a bit ridiculous when you see someone who not only doesn't seem to like any episode that comes out, they seem to have either already decided that they weren't going to like it before even watching it, or purposely seems to look for things to complain about. I don't understand why people spend so much time on complaining about every little thing.
  15. If I'm remembering correctly, and I'm too lazy right now to check, we had about this little information on FG this time last year as well.
  16. Seriously though, the entire discussion thread for the episode would be "OMG STARLIGHT IS SUCH A MARY SUE"
  17. I'm only asking because I've heard people say it's not half bad, and I'm relatively open minded.
  18. I think it would be interesting if there was an episode where one of the villagers at her old village, who still believes in Starlight's old ideology, tries forcing it on the rest of them, and Starlight needs to convince them otherwise.
  19. Well, it's sort of the way of things with fandoms. But like others have said, many new people are also joining. And to be honest, I don't really think that the fact that "My Little Pomy" is less searched on Google now really means much. There weren't really a lot of Google searches involved in my story of joining the fandom, although I'm sure there was at least one. My point is there's more than one way to discover the show.
  20. I got Crimson Bristle. Kinda sounds like a character from an adventure movie or something. I kinda like it.
  21. Tanks for the Memories was definitely the most depressing episode for me. Both its storyline, as well as its tone, were quite saddening.
  22. I guess the producers just like Russians? I dunno. Also: In Soviet Russia, Ponies watch you!
  23. I actually quite like her transformation. Magical Mystery Cure did a great job of selling me on the concept. Also, fun fact, in 4 episodes, she will have been an Alicorn longer than she was a unicorn (in terms of the amount of episodes she appeared as a unicorn or alicorn, anyway).
