Okay, the fandom does weird stuff. I am a pegasister, but a sane one (no offence). Here is what I want to be explained. Why do some people call flanks "plots"? I don't clop but I did find one nasty clop fic by mistake which referred to Zecora's flank as her "plot", and later I heard someone call Fluttershy's flank her "plot". I have looked the word "plot" up in the dictionary and have not found any reference to it being used as a word for butt or flank, so is it an MLP thing? What's the origin? Why do people think Derpy is Dinky's mother because they went to the Sisterhooves Social? Wouldn't it make more sense for Derpy to be Dinky's friend, cousin or sister? Why do people take it for granted that Lyra likes humans when there was no evidence of it in the show? Why do people ship Fluttershy with Discord?

What if Fluttershy was a mother?

Well, we know Twilight and Rarity have dated stallions, and are therefore not gay but could be bi. Same goes for Flash Sentry, who has dated a mare, and Carrot and Cup Cake, Shining Armour, the parents of the main characters, and Princess Cadence who are married to the opposite sex. Cranky and Matilda can't be gay as they are love interests, and Flurry Heart, the Cake twins, Dinky, Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon the CMC, Rumble, and Pipsqueak are all too young. That leaves Luna, Celestia, Fluttershy, Big Mac, Applejack, Derpy, Pinkie Pie, Zecora, Lyra, Bonbon, Rainbow Dash, Granny Smith (although she has had foals), and Discord.

Apparently, the writers have said that Scootaloo does have parents. Someone has found a pony they thought might be her mother: https://mlpforums.com/uploads/post_images/img-1162642-1-Scoots_mom.png And someone else thought they saw her father: http://danvonfuckyou.deviantart.com/art/scootaloo-s-dad-534334579 Yes, Scootaloo is seen to have a house on the ground but it is unspecified where. As for the flying, Fluttershy was a weak flier as an adolescent (about 11), so I reckon Scootaloo is just a late bloomer.

Hello. I have noticed that some people think that Scootaloo not being able to fly would be to do with disabilities, except what would be "wrong" with her wings? We see that they are strong enough to push her scooter and we know that Bulk Biceps can fly. As for the disabilities thing, why not introduce a unicorn who can't control their magic or a blind or deaf or whatever pony? (Maybe I'm just thinking because blindness and deafness are common disabilities and a unicorn who can't control their magic sounds cool, I dunno ) But anyway, back on topic. Some people have said that they don't want Scootaloo to fly because they don't want her to be like Rainbow Dash, but flying does not equal like Rainbow Dash. After all, Twilight learned to fly and she's not like Rainbow Dash. Some people also say that they don't want Scootaloo to fly because they want her to be good on land, but why not both? After all, Fluttershy and the Alicorns are good on the ground and with flying. So that's why I still want Scootaloo to fly. P.S. I noticed that people with disabilities which mean they can't walk have gizmos that mean they can get around. Do pegasi with non-flying disabilities have flying machines?

Stupid things you thought/did as a little kid.
Mysterycat replied to MachineGunLola's topic in General Discussion
I used to think the characters on TV could come visit if we were bored. I also believed that grass seed was fairy dust and used to sprinkle it on things to try and do magic. Got frustrated when it didn't work. And I thought you could eat a rainbow if you got close enough. And I remember one time I had (for about two days) an irrational fear that my cat was actually a robot disguised as a cat for the government or something. -
Okay, I'm a bit confused about how names work. We have normal names like Maud, Lyra, and Cadence, mixed in with not regular names like Twilight, Applejack, and Fluttershy. The ponies' names seem to be related to their destinies sometimes like with Celestia and Luna. (Celestia raises the sun and Luna raises the moon). Sometimes the "family name" comes first like Applejack and Apple Bloom and sometimes last like Pinkie and Maud Pie. And sometimes, like with Rarity, there is no family name. And also there are inconsistencies like Fluttershy's parents have "shy" as their family name, but her brother has "Breeze". Also, there's the please-call-me-Twilight thing, which is the name I gave to the thing where Rainbow Dash, for instance, is either Rainbow Dash or Dashie, whereas Princess Twilight Sparkle is nearly always just "Twilight". How does all this work?

In "Too Many Pinkie Pies," Pinkie feels there are not enough Pinkie Pies to go around, and so she clones herself. In order to do so, she visits a mystical pond known as the Mirror Pool, and recites a poem that ends in something along the lines of "I won't be scared at the idea of being doubly mared." A mare is a female horse, a male is a stallion. Pinkie Pie is a mare, but what if a stallion wanted to clone himself. Would he have to say "doubly stallioned."? This may not work very well, because "stallioned" doesn't scan in terms of poetry, and it doesn't, by any stretch of the imagination, rhyme with "scared". Is it possible the Mirror Pool only works on mares, and if so, why? What do you guys think?

Episode 10. “Swarm of the Century”: The One Where Zecora Forgets to Rhyme
Mysterycat commented on Sunny Fox's blog entry in Sunny Side Den
Don't blame Twilight, I have an explanation. I think that maybe Twilight discarded Pinkie's remark because Pinkie is generally random, so she probably thought it was irrelevant. -
