  1. Nice. I hope you'll do something like that with the BG ponies from Las Pegasus. They really need more love - so many great designs from Viva Las Pegasus went almost unnoticed.
  2. The Talisman by Peter Straub and Stephen King. It feels like a mixture of several other King's stories so far, but it keeps getting more and more interesting.
  3. So, another Daring Do episode with more world building. I like the pony Egypt, especially the fact that it doesn’t look too antique. The legend was cool, I liked the characters designs. And we probably have an explanation of Pinkie’s absence in Triple Threat. But to me this episode left a lot of questions. Is Ponyville Chronicle such an influential newspaper – getting an exclusive DD’s interview and all that? Is the Sphinx still alive? What was the initial purpose of the pyramids? Were the pharaohs the rulers of Southern Equestria before the princesses? Is Ahuizotl on the loose? Why does Celestia pay no attention to that? Well, I’m probably overthinking it. Never mind.
  4. When I found out the title of this episode I was afraid the writers might mess it up – the whole changeling reformation thing was questionable enough, and now they were going to milk on the subject. Well, the episode wasn’t quite what I expected. It featured another Starlight’s terrible plan (no magic this time though), Thorax being almost as soft as before and Trixie being Trixie. But I really enjoyed it nevertheless. I loved the references, especially the manbearpig one. The epic speech, the monster battle and some new facts about changelings all made this episode great for me. So, the only unreformed changeling now is Chrysalis. I hope she’ll stay that way, although I highly doubt it.
  5. 1 and 5, and only if they don't overlap in the same cartoon - I like to have hooves and no-hooves separate. 4 is OK too, more or less.
  6. Here's some gothic metal. One of my favorite bands, Lacrimosa finally released a new album.
  7. My ancient PocketBook 360. I grew so attached to this e-reader over the years that I wouldn't exchange it for a brand new kindle.
  8. Campfire Tales had so many great background ponies. It's a shame they will probably be forgotten soon. So I saved a few images for history.
  9. Bart&Baker - Istanbul. I should have stuck to the original version. This one is hard to get of my head.
  10. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do here, but count me in. I've been an atheist since I first thought about the possibility of god's existence (I was around 4) and concluded that's it's another lie grown-ups use to control the others. My opinion hasn't changed since then.
  11. Brandy. I know my head will regret it next morning, but I had a hard week, gotta relax a bit.
  12. So, it's a good idea to read them anyway then. I hope we'll finally see Star Swirl as a part of the arc.
  13. It was a nice episode. Not superamazing, but nice. New lore, new male heroes, a touch of continuity, interesting references. Although for me it felt like its main purpose was to advertise the comics. Not a bad thing though. The legends have very good lessons in them, and the Rarity’s one surely stands out. “Japanese” unicorn race looks great. However, I hoped their eyes would look more like Powder Rouge’s, but I guess she is just from a different part of Equestria. I was also glad to see dragons from the previous seasons appear in this episode. Well, now I actually might read those comics. Right after I figure out how Rarity did that shadow play.
  14. No Internet, huh? Oh, the first world problems! I was born in 1992 as well, but I got my first computer only in 2004. And I had no good Internet till 2009. Spent my childhood playing simple NES games and Tetris variations on this thing: I played Super Mario, Battle City, Chip and Dale, Mortal Kombat and Battletoads with my friends, shot ducks and cowboys with that fancy Nintendo pistol, and never understood a word from the plot because I didn’t know English or Chinese (a lot of pirated games and knock-offs were only available in this language). Cheat codes were transferred via the word of mouth as some sacred knowledge. Or discovered accidentally. And when we had money, we went to the so called “game rooms” to play PS1 games. Those were the coolest.
  15. IMO, Tirek is the most evil one, mostly because of his motivation. For magic and power he was willing to destroy the world. Discord seems to be the least evil to me, because chaos is not exactly evil, although it may seem so to his victims. And his methods were more fun and entertaining, than ruthless and heartless.
  16. That's a tough question, but I'd say The Magic Inside and The Spectacle.
  17. Limestone Pie and Tree Hugger. Because Limestone needs too chill out.
  18. Shining Armor and Cadance. At first I viewed them as token characters, and of course didn't like the fact that they appeared out of nowhere. But gradually - trough new episodes and comics - they grew on me. Snips and Snails. Didn't like them at all initially, but after discovering the hidden talent of Snails in the buckball episode I kinda look forward to seeing them more often.
  19. Seeing how muny negative comments this episode is getting, I’ll just point out the things I liked about it: Thorax has difficulties being a leader, and a group of changelings still remain as they used to be. That’s a little compensation for the hastened reformation, and a promising development for the future. Amber hasn’t changed much and still mostly sticks to dragons’ ways. Also, her interaction with Starlight and “dragon racism” were pretty funny. The moment with Derpy cracked me up. It was nice to hear Lyra talking again. Certainly, a pleasant surprise for me (the obligatory complains about pandering don’t bother me at all). Twi's comfy chair. The Map’s logic is unfathomable. I think I’ll just deal with it and won’t try to overanalyze things. As for the story in general… that’s what you get after appointing an underage dude as an official ambassador. Even though Spike can do better. Much better.
  20. For me the most memorable one is the intro of Disciples 2. When I was a kid memorized every word of the narration, and the melody still haunts me sometimes.
  21. I'm a big fan of Steven Universe. It got me from the very pilot, and in my opinion this is one of those shows that only get better over time. Although I don't know much about SU fandom and fanworks - stick with MLP for now.
  22. You forgot Celestia's and Luna's parents. Although I doubt that we'll ever see them. As for the characters in question, I think Scootaloo's parents showing up is quite possible. And Spike... I hoped to see his real parents back in Dragon Quest, still hoping though.
  23. I think Doctor Hooves is supposed be represent the 10th Doctor (mainly in fanon), and since he did not change into 11th and 12th over the years, I doubt that he'll undergo a gender change. However, as other ponified Doctors occasionally appeared in the show, I won't be surprised to see a female Doctor cameo at some point.
  24. Some minor/background characters from Fame and Misfortune. Many of them are still unnamed. My personal favorite:
  25. Even though Larson claims that he has little to do with the final outcome, this episode certainly feels like Larson. And I love it. It was a lot of fun, featured many new and old background ponies and was built on two things I find very enjoyable about the show – continuity and mocking bronies (something they started doing relatively recently). Also, the song was good, and I especially liked that it didn’t change anything. The only thing that bothered me is that the mane six’s fame was so SUDDEN. I mean almost everypony already knew them – they saved Equestria so many times and had been publicly acknowledged for that. But in this episode even the Ponyville residents seemed like seeing them for the first time. All in all, I find the episode to be a solid example of good MLP stuff. I’m definitely rewatching it, probably more than once.
