You've read the title, you know what's going on. I've put up one for my ponysona, Reality Check, since I think it's about time I gave him one Reality Check: What he said. But yeah, feel free to ask me anything you want to and I'll respond the best I can. You can also ask creator me if you have a question about him as well.

How Much Soda Do You Usually Drink Each Day?
Reality Check replied to EpicEnergy's topic in General Discussion
I usually just have 1 cold drink every day, though it's not always soda. So I'd reckon at least 1 can every week -
Never mess with a lady, especially someone like Rarity... Huh, that rhymed. That aside... This episode, in my opinion, is a gold mine of karma. There were plenty of scenes that carried a ton of humor with them. I'd say the biggest instance was when Rarity 'plays' with the diamond dogs in order to get what she wants. Her ranting on about the difference between whining and complaining certainly stood out to me, but I can see how it can be annoying rather than funny, especially when they had to put up with it a lot. Sapphire Shores was a fun character as well, even though she only appeared in the opening scene and never appeared again until several seasons later. If I have to nitpick something, it's the diamond dogs. Now I don't hate them, it's just that their motives seems rather straightforward. All they do is find gems... and for what exactly? I kinda wish that there was more context about the diamond dogs other than to just serve the plot for the episode, they just exist and was never brought back up again. Also, I can't help notice that the plot between the mane 6 and Rarity look like they were separated into two halves, making it look like each change of scenery happened in mere seconds. Overall, this episode is definitely a good episode, filled to the brim with memorable, funny scenes that will always bring a smile to my face. I also like how they didn't make Rarity a princess in a castle just awaiting to be saved; she can get herself out of a situation without needing someone else to be her hero. I'd say it also gave the girl viewers some confidence. It's as they say, 'feminism marches on'.

It's an interesting possibility, but I think it's unlikely that Flurry Heart is responsible. Mostly cause I don't think she'd be that kind of princess if her relationship with Twilight and Cadence is anything to go by. Also, I have a feeling that there'd be at least one pony there to stop her, maybe some advisors or other royalties for that matter. Though I wouldn't be surprised if Flurry Heart had at least some kind of role in it, it is likely that she's young enough to be with the new generation, like you said.

Ok, so... I have opinions on this. I like this episode for the foreshadowing. I think the best instance was when Applejack saw the CMC dancing, the speechlessness and her expression says everything we need to know. Another is the moral of showing a person's interest versus what they're truly good at, or 'Talent vs Interest' to put it shortly. Just because someone is good at something doesn't mean that they enjoy it all the time. In fact, I'd say a future episode addressed this moral a bit better, 'Marks and recreation' to be precise. What I don't like about the episode is how the other moral was presented. The CMC pointed out that trying too hard can lead to disastrous results. Unfortunately, I don't think it's presented very well. It's ok to make the best or go all out on something, but overdoing it can lead to some unwanted consequences. It's like making a doll, you can make it as realistic as you like, but overdo it and you'd just get the uncanny valley. I also noticed an animation error when watching the episode, when the CMC were supposedly climbing a mountain and reached the top. You can briefly see that their eye colors are the same. The episode isn't bad, nor is it good, but it does look like it could've been done better. Maybe the conflicting ideals trope could be done without the wanting to do-their-own-thing and the oddly specific awards added in. Also, I can't help but feel like there was a bit of toy marketing added in there.
