  1. Today Disney released its first teaser trailer for this summer's live action adaptation for the Lion King. While given the nature of their live action adaptations of their beloved properties, I wasn't initially interested in this movie in particular. However, I have to admit that I rather liked the teaser, and I wonder what you guys have to say about it.
  2. While I haven't really played a lot of Ocarina of Time, I have to admire it for being the first 3D Zelda game, which at the time must have been huge. And without it, games like Breath of the Wild most likely wouldn't have existed.
  3. Even though I just found out about this event last minute, I rather like the idea behind it. Doing all this tasks to find out how to unlock these rewards sounds pretty fun to me, and I kinda hope that the site does something like this again.
  4. I may not have really wanted a Lion King remake, but this teaser trailer was great.

  5. While it may not seem super likely right now, I think that it actually has somewhat of a chance at doing so, even if it isn't super likely. Given how well received it was from critics and audiences from the get go, how much Nickelodeon has pushed it so far, the fact that it is getting both a theatrical released movie and a spin-off series, The Loud House has enough going for it that if Spongebob were ever to lose popularity, such as if the third movie turns out to be a critical and or financial failure, I can see it becoming Nick's new golden show. While it may seem unlikely, and at this point in time I don't see it happening just yet, it's not like there isn't precedent for something like this happening. Just look at how Spongebob replaced Rugrats as Nick's flagship show.
  6. Man next month is going to be crazy.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate, new episodes of Steven Universe, Spider-Man into the Spiderverse, the final season of Voltron Legendary Defender, and Bumblebee?  There is going to be so much great media for me to consume that I can hardly believe it.

  7. Cartoon Network: announces a new arc of episodes of Steven Universe to premiere weekly starting December 17th

  8. me when Toy Story 4 was announced: Why do we even need this?  The third movie wrapped everything up perfectly.  What a cash grab.

me now: Toy Story 4 might actually dig into existentialism territory?  Okay now I might be interested.

  9. While the movie isn't perfect, I actually kinda like that it is canon to the show. This is because when it comes to these types of adaptations, for the most part they leave little to no impact on the events of the show, so seeing one that breaks away from that is something I can appreciate.
  10. When it was initially announced that Detective Pikachu was the Pokemon Live Action movie we were going to get I have to admit that I was skeptical. However once I heard of the talent involved, mainly that it was being written by Nicole Perlman of Guardians of the Galaxy fame, I ended up being curious about how it would turn out. After seeing this trailer, I have to say that I am cautiously optimistic as I can actually see some promise for the film, despite my initial skepticism.
  11. Looks Interesting so far.  Hopefully it turns out good.  At the very least some of the Pokemon, especially Pikachu look better than I thought they would in Live Action.

  12. Not usually. But if it is really severe, I can get a bit uncomfortable.
  13. The newest trailer for the very promising She-Ra and the Princesses of Power
  14. I would probably go with the season five finale. As much as I disliked how Starlight's reformation was handled, she was one of the few characters that I thought could be redeemed. But I feel that the episode really failed to give her a decent backstory and villain motivation. In order to fix this, I feel more time should have been focused on Starlight and less time should have been given to timelines in which Twilight and Spike visited to. Either that or just getting rid of the whole time travel aspect all together and give Starlight a different evil plan that would give the writers more time to spend on her backstory and motivations.
  15. You know what? I actually would like to see Spike interact more with members of the mane 6 that aren't Twilight or Rarity. It's not that he has literally never interacted with anyone else, but given instances are still few and far between. Plus I do like it when the show pairs of characters that don't really interact much with one another, as I feel it can help certain episodes feel fresh and give us some new insights on the characters.

  17. Alright so it looks like it's MLP's time to get a 44 minute long special episode. Given what I have seen from Equestria Girls and there 44 minute specials, I had hoped that MLP FIM could also make something enjoyable in this format. After watching Best Gift Ever, I thought that it was enjoyable. Applejack was great here, I especially liked her bluntly telling Spike that she didn't pick Rarity, as that was one of the funniest jokes in the special. The special started out with a cute new song, and ended with a pretty decent song as well. While not the best thing from G4, I thought it still made for a decent time.
  18. How The Cutie-Remark should have ended Starlight Glimmer: I know I hurt you and your friends, but Equestria turned its back on me long before Our Town ever existed. Twilight Sparkle: That's a lie! Equesetria gave you a home and provided for you. Starlight: But I never really was a part of Equestria was I? Twilight Sparkle: You messed around with time and spaced and almost completely destroyed Equestria! Starlight Glimmer: And I've apologized. Numerous times. When will you see through your anger to forgive me? Twilight Sparkle: That's what you don't get. Being sorry isn't enough. You need to take responsibility for what you've done. Goodbye Starlight.
  19. Well this seems like fun, so here's mine in no particular order: The return of Cozy Glow A Rarijack episode Scootaloo's aunts showing up (assuming season 9 is the final season, than this could actually make sense given that other popular shows such as the Legend of Korra and Adventure Time had their LGBT representation at the very end, I could see FiM doing the same. Another episode focusing on Sugar Belle and Big Mac's relationship A fully musical episode similar to what we got in seasons 3,4,5 and 6
  20. I never really cared that much, as I was just satisfied and thankful to see a villain in this show actually face real consequences for their actions for a change, that this never crossed my mind.
  21. Hard to believe that the season is already over, it seems like it came and went pretty fast. While not one of my favorite seasons, there were a decent amount of episodes that I really liked. Plus I did like the idea of a friendship school, and I wouldn't mind seeing it be expanded upon next season. With that out of the way, what did I think of School Raze? I thought it was a pretty solid finale. Cozy Glow was a great antagonist and I am so glad that she actually faced consequences to her actions instead of getting reformed, the episode used a lot of characters without feeling too cluttered, and even if I didn't want it, Neighsay's reformation was tolerable enough/better than some others we have had in the show. Over all I rather enjoyed School Raze.
  22. Well, someone had to teach Yoshi how to commit Tax Fraud.
  23. I just finished Big Fish and Begonia, which was a movie I have been wanting to see for a while now, and it was pretty good. It was absolutely gorgeous and I had a great time watching it.
