  1. ^This is an excellent answer. Overall, I prefer G2. The number of pokemon was a lot, but still manageable, it has my favorite legendary (Ho-oh is amazing), and it can't be stressed enough how awesome it is to explore two regions. I still enjoy the other generations (can't really say much for G4 though, seeing as that's the generation that I skipped), but I can't say that they really compare to the excitement I felt in the Johto region.
  2. Oh cool! Does this mean that the Christmas charity drive might come back this year? I was actually quite disappointed when that didn't happen last year... I understand why this was, but it was still sad. Anyways, quick question (unless you've already answered it), how are members going to be notified of these events? I assume that many of them would be put up in the calendar, though I admit that I personally only check the calendar approximately once every eventually, and would likely end up missing many of them. Will they have a spot in the announcement banner thing that's at the top of the page, have topics posted in Canterlot Castle, etc?
  3. Kitten!!! Your kitten is adorable! Oh, and you look good too.
  4. I attended an all-male high school, and virtually everyone addressed each other with by last name. It was pretty common, and even the many of the teachers would call us by our last names. So I guess yeah, I've called a lot of people by their last names.
  5. I had forgotten how fun Fire Emblem was...

Never actually played Path of Radiance... I kind of jumped from Rekka no Ken and Sacred Stones to Shadow Dragon and Awakening, then backwards to Fuuin no Tsurugi. So I basically missed all of the console Fire Emblems.

I should work on playing those...

Awww. Path of Radiance is where Ike is introduced. Awesome Characters and storyline! You'll love it if you ever get you're hands on it!

  6. A pizza cutter shaped like Star Trek's Enterprise and an ice tray that makes ice in the shape of Han Solo encased in carbonite are technically the last things that I purchased, though those are actually wedding gifts for a friend, so I'm not sure if it counts. The last thing I purchased for myself was issue #18 of the MLP comic main series, because for some reason none of the four comic stores around me had a copy...
  7. Not sure... If it came out of nowhere, my brain would probably throw a fatal error and force a full mental reboot. Afterwards, panic and doubt would set in and it's highly possible that I would do everything in my power to escape the situation, which would of course be followed by regret. If it wasn't out of nowhere, I may still require a mental reboot, but perhaps it wouldn't devolve into blind panic. In any case, I probably won't have to worry about such a situation for quite some time, so I'm glad for that.
  8. Most can agree that John Williams is pretty awesome. I can now confirm that John Williams + the Boston Pops live in concert is really amazing.

  9. At the top right of the navigation bar, there is a magnifying glass symbol. Clicking upon it shall summon the fabled Search Bar. It's not in the mobile version of the site though as far as I know. You need to be in the desktop version to behold its magnificence.
  10. Chrome got fourth though, right? Were the other two horses that placed above him in the same boat, having not raced in the Derby and the Preakness? If not, then I don't see why the guy's complaining, he would have lost it anyways.
  11. Mr. Executive, have you actually watched any of the generation 4 MLP episodes, and if so, which was your favorite?
  12. 1. A fully operational Death Star that I can fit in my pocket. 2. A race of highly intelligent (yet obedient) amoebas to pilot said Death Star. 3. Thousands upon thousands of baseballs that I can now obliterate in an overly dramatic fashion.
  13. I don't play very many bloody games, so of the games I've actually played I honestly can't think of anything bloodier than the Ganondorf and Ganon death scenes from Ocarina of Time.
  14. Favorite Pokemon? Oh, that's easy. It's definitely Greymon.
  15. Mega Timmioth, the mega-evolved form of Timmioth! It was amazing, Timmioth was a Pokemon all along!! He was such a most powerfullest Pokemon that he didn't even need a trainer to evolve!!! It was amazing and stuff!!!! Timmy still wanted revenge and stuff so he challenged Gandalf to a duel!!!!! They fought and stuff, and it looked like Mega Timmioth was winning until Gandalf called for Shadowfax and they fused together to become.......... SHADOW GANDALF!!!!!! Shadow Gandalf then started winning and was beating up Timmioth which made him sad, but his sadness summoned the Mega Timmiothite and he mega-evolved again into........ MEGA MEGA TIMMIOTH!!!!!!! It was more amazing and more stuff, Timmioth was the first ever Digimon to mega evolve TWICE!!!!!!!! But it was not powerfullest enough, and Shadow Gandalf started winning again, which made Mega Mega Timmioth sad again, but then he found the Mega Mega Timmiothite and evolved again into....... MEGA MEGA MEGA TIMMIOTH!!!!!!!!! Then...
  16. Haha! I have my computer back and it appears to function! Now I just have to go and catch up with, well, everything...

      ;D yay awesome!

  17. To all who need/wish to contact me: my computer is in for repairs for the next week or so, so my responses will be even slower than normal.

Oh no! Hopefully it will get fixed soon (and stay fixed!).

  18. Work. That is my plan for the summer. I'm nearing the end of a six-month internship, and when that's done I'll be moving back home to immediately start up another internship. On the plus side, I'm getting paid, so I really can't complain. Oh, and I'll be in the wedding party for one of my friends, but I'm not entirely sure if that actually counts as summer plans...
  19. @, @@Leafeon "A... casteliacone?" Jacques wondered aloud, clearly having never heard of the thing before. "What on earth is...?" He stopped as he saw people walking away from the crowd with some sort of cone in hand. So... it was edible apparently? From what the woman said, it must be fairly rare for them to be in stock too. Jacques considered what to do. He supposed that there wasn't really anything else that he needed to do right now, then again, he didn't want to be wandering the city alone. He decided to wait and see what Cecil had to say on the matter.
  20. @ After the Seeker girl had left, Jacques followed Cecil through the city, listening to his plans. There was nothing obviously brutal or horrible within them, so he figured that it would be alright to stay with him. Another gym battle, he thought to himself, that could be interesting... Jacques had to admit that he was much more skilled at watching battles than he was at participating in them, which was certainly saying something about his battling abilities since in the last two battles he had watched he had fallen asleep, nearly ruptured his eardrums, and was almost killed by rogue psybeams. This trainer really did impress Jacques though. Potentially three badges in two days? Shouldn't that be some sort of record? "Oh, how convenient!" he piped in. "I had actually planned on visiting the Seekers building myself. I'm not a native to Unova, and am quite curious about them and what they actually do... Speaking of which, do you know anything about them?" However, that was the moment that Cecil suddenly stopped, and moved towards the crowd of people. Jacques turned to follow, also wondering what had brought the crowd.
  21. I used to be fairly active on a Final Fantasy forum called the Genesis Awards, but I stopped posting regularly around two or three years ago. It's sad, the place kind of died out and is now mostly a wasteland of spambots... I actually first heard about the 4th generation of MLP from there, but the overwhelmingly positive reactions to the show confused me and I ignored it.
  22. Oh sweet, it looks like I'm going to be seeing John Williams in concert next month! Excitement intensifies!

  23. Since September, hm... Well, the forums had its second birthday (you might notice the new layout and the sticky navigation bar at the top, which were implemented around that time). There's also a legion of new mods. Users have come, gone, been banned, etc. A few months ago a server went kablooey (or database, or something; I don't really know the details), and the whole site was down for a couple of days. A whole new roleplay section was added (Equestrian Empires), though that could have happened before September, I don't quite remember. Yeah, everything's been pretty normal from what I can tell. Anything important that I missed you could probably find in Canterlot Castle or something. Anyways, it's good to see you back!
  24. @@Leafeon, @ "Oh... it was his Growlithe you meant..." Jacques said as his face reddened in embarrassment. Luckily, it was at this point that Cecil jumped in and took over the conversation, so he doubted that the girl had noticed. Then he sat back and relaxed. It wasn't long at all before the buildings of Castelia loomed overhead. The place was huge, maybe even as big as Lumiose City! Jacques had only ever been to Lumiose a handful of times, so he wasn't terribly familiar with navigating around cities. He was quite relieved when Cecil mentioned that he wouldn't mind if he accompanied him. "Wait, really? You don't mind?" he said hopefully. "Well, I think Karel would enjoy that-" The Mienfoo agreed with an excited, "Foo!" "-though I suppose I should probably ask where you're heading first." It didn't really matter, short of returning to Virbank or jumping off of a bridge, Jacques would probably go along anyways. Still, it made sense to ask first.
  25. A world of chaos where nothing makes sense and the most insignificant things could cause explosive breakage: thus is the life of one working in the world of software quality assurance.
