Rap's never really been... eh. I've never liked it and that's probably because I didn't give it much of a chance. Whenever I think of rap, I think 'gangsta'. However, this song simply caught me out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FdWj3GYdmY And I'm not talking about just this song. This guy is completely independent when it comes to making and selling albums - he does pretty much everything by himself. I was approached by him once when he was selling his album and single in the streets of a city. I bought his album and single to give it a try. Boy, was I surprised. The first song in the album 'That's Mr. ShaoDow To You' was simply an explosion and it took me completely aback. I guess a big part to why I like it quite a lot is because... it's not 'gangsta'. It's as simple as that.

I want to say Rayman 2: The Great Escape. Seriously, that game is amazing. Don't know exactly how popular it was, but it deserves to be recognised much more than what may as well be another Wario Ware game: Raving Rabbids. Rayman 2 had a stunning soundtrack. This is pretty much the main theme for Rayman 2 and it's just... well, I LOVE it! I loved it when that music kicked in in the middle of the game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMI3HNsZ6hQ It was a light hearted game with an underlying darkness that Rayman 3 just lacked. When I was a child, I simply fell in love the game and was moved by the ending. I played it all over again one or two years ago and still loved it very much. I just don't see how the game should be overshadowed by Raving Rabbids. Also, the last few levels of the game: absolutely outstanding. I suggest you take a look at those last few levels. They were an absolute blast to play through.

I'm not exactly one to buy merchandise based off a show. In fact, I've never done it, but MLP... I have to, for some reason. I first decided to get this t-shirt. In fact, I've paid for it. Now I just need to wait for it to be delivered. This is my attitude towards clothing. I like designs to be subtle - not garish and screaming 'I AM A BRONY!! COME AT ME!!' Then I saw this t-shirt and thought it'd suit me pretty damn well. Just shows I don't give a single damn about what people think about me wearing a t-shirt like that. So yeah... will be interesting to see what comes from it.

What do you think will be the downfall-if any- of MLP?
TooTsaka replied to StarStriker's topic in Sugarcube Corner
I'd say if they end up doing more episodes at the quality that Spike At Your Service was. That episode was just... plain and isn't what MLP is all about. That's the only reason I can see as what would create the downfall. They set such high standards that they've mostly been able to keep up with, but the problem is... it's pretty damn difficult to maintain such a high standard. -
Your Favorite MLP Episode: Round Two Series
TooTsaka replied to SuperUltimateBrony's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
ARRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHH!! Two excellent episodes here! But maybe if both parts of the Canterlot wedding counted as a single episode, I would choose that. But seriously, if I'm voting for The Canterlot Wedding (Part 1), I'd be voting for the tension towards the end and one of the most epic moments ever in MLP. It's About Time is a fantastic episode and maintains humour and action throughout. And seriously... that music in the background where Twilight meets future Twilight is really, really, REALLY good. Also, who doesn't like Twilight turning into a maniac? So... my vote goes to It's About Time. -
Hope you keep it up when you start. Don't disappoint yourself. That's the ultimate thing right there: just don't disappoint yourself. /)

Has Being a Brony Changed Your Life? How?
TooTsaka replied to jacibobsthebrony's topic in Sugarcube Corner
I wouldn't have guessed it would have such a profound effect on me. Normally things wouldn't have such a great impact on me. I have become a happier person and thinking more positively than I used to. I seem to have random moments when I think back to scenes of My Little Pony which had moved me, and I suddenly get the feeling that I'm on the verge of crying - not from sadness, but of happiness. It's just given me so much colour to the dull, grey world we all share. I hope someday we'll all finally just come together and stop hating each other. Seriously, this was something I kept on thinking about even before I discovered My Little Pony... I discovered My Little Pony two to three months ago. Just think of that... To think I was pretty damn depressed with my life beforehand. I seriously don't care about whoever mocks me for liking the show. There's seriously magic in this show (not literally) that no other show has. It just connected to me so perfectly and I'm still confused as to why I like the show and why the creators were able to make it so successful. -
I never. Ever. EVER... have a New Year's resolution, but I think I'll make this New Year and exception. I've only just gotten back to playing the keyboard/piano over the Christmas holiday and I forgot how fun it is for me to learn to play new pieces of music. The one I am starting to learn is , considering it's dark and lively, which is perfect for me. If you watch , I am a perfectionist when it comes to learning to play a piece. And seriously, I haven't played the piano all that long until I was able to play that. Possibly a few months. It's been so long ago...

Your Favorite MLP Episode: Round Two Series
TooTsaka replied to SuperUltimateBrony's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I think Sonic Rainboom without a doubt. This scene is simply one of the best from the whole of G4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WImRs-nWW48 That moment when Fluttershy actually cheers in such a manner really gnaws at my heart - especially considering the way she cheered beforehand simply because Rainbow Dash couldn't perform the Sonic Rainboom. Such a powerful moment, and I love it because of that. -

I know I'm late to the party and all - jeez, October! I don't know why you'd want to 'convert' people. The only reason I'd want to do any of this is to just make them see that MLP is not what they think of in their ignorance, if they haven't seen it before. I've shared Hearth's Warming Eve to my best friend for Christmas because she's really open minded, so that helps. Still, even though I'm her friend, I'm not trying to convert her. Just let her see what it's like for herself... and because it's festive. Plus, I do think she'd enjoy it because there's plenty of feels in that one episode. Therefore, Hearth's Warming Eve would be a great choice if I were to... make the ignorant see that MLP isn't what they first thought. Also, I have a firm belief A Canterlot Wedding would be a great choice. It poses that stereotypical girly nonsense, but when they get 15 minutes in... holy shit they are gonna be blown away, hopefully. Especially when this moment kicks in. The organ in the background just really strikes a perfect note and Twilight's expression is the absolute best from any moment of MLP/ So wonderfully chaotic. Also, I feel It's About Time would be a great candidate as well. The plot's fun and at the same time gritty.

Sounds like how I felt when I started locking myself inside after moving back to university. Although I imagined everyone looking at me and laughing, it's... more or less real life for you. You're bound to run into ignorant people more than you do with people who are understanding. It's pretty much a fact there. If it was me, I'd just continue as though it's a challenge. People hate me for wearing something I actually like wearing? Fine, I'll keep wearing it. But... ya gotta do what you feel comfortable doing. I haven't worn anything pony-related because I'm new to this whole fandom, but I'm at the point where I want to wear something subtle but looks cool and - you guessed it - is based from MLP. I know I'm most likely going to get ripped at university societies, but what do I care? The number one thing I hated doing was talking, but since I began streaming playing games, I'm a lot more comfortable with talking. What's to stop me from doing this? Just mentally salute the people who openly insult you and... well... troll them with your clothing I guess. It's not really trolling, though they have it in their head it is, so they deserve it.

I had it too. I thought I could spam advertisements everyday and hurl my way into getting enough gems to even try to get Celestia or Shining Armour/Cadence. I have to say, I'm not a fan of these types of games at all. It's just money whoring all the way through. Valve sells cosmetics for Team Fortress 2 and the prices are not nearly as ridiculous as the prices for gems. Not anywhere near. It's a good time waster, but that's all it is for me. There was some hack you could download, but Gameloft patched it so it wouldn't work. Allowed you to get everything for free - except someone made another version which didn't break it so much you couldn't actually play it. It allowed you to buy everything with bits rather than hearts and gems. Like 100 bits for each heart and gem, though I feel it should be 100 bits for one heart and 1,000 bits for one gem. Therefore it's 950,000 bits to buy Celestia, which is a ton more reasonable than 950 gems.

I can't even say which more creative than another. I've had more success with stories than music. My mind is just ablaze with dubstep, but I know that's not the case for what music is out there which was inspired by MLP. Btw, My Little Dashie... it was good, but I feel it needs a little more depth into the relationship between man and pony. Plus, feeling something from a cardboard box and just having to open it... sloppy writing. It's good. Not perfect. I know why people like it at least - it just could have been made that much better. I'd recommend it anyway. It is a nice read, but I'd recommend Rainbow Factory more because it's written better and really pulls at those shock factors. Plus it doesn't have that awkward 'hey, I'm a brony and I wish this would happen and it does!' I suppose that's its strength: it speaks for all of us, I guess.

Oh Noes the quality is spiraling downward:O
TooTsaka replied to Anadu Kune's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
The only bad episode for me in this season is the latest one. I was disheartened by it, but I'm not going to see it as a downward spiral. That wouldn't be vary mature at all. I'm just really wondering how they're going to execute the next episode. To me it sounds iffy, but it's it's executed in standard MLP fashion - the one we all know and love - I'll be more than happy with it. -
I'm about to go ahead and watch the episode again because I'm simply confused about everything about it. I was a little 'meh' on the Apple Family Reunion, but this one... I hate to say it, but it's possibly one of the worst - if not, THE worst - episode in the history of G4 MLP. I watched Apple Family Reunion again a couple days ago and I enjoyed it a lot more that time around, but I doubt it'd happen for this one. The whole episode doesn't feel right to me.

If you look at it on the parents' viewpoint. My Little Pony... it's a girls show. Made for girls. No doubt are they going to think it's all this girly stereotype schizznit. You just gotta make them see YOUR viewpoint which is obviously more reliable than theirs. It's not stupidly girly like the title of the show makes it seem, and it's also not a badly written show just because it's intended for girls. It's an incredibly mature, innocent show. If there are lots of men out there enjoying the show, then why should you be any different from them? Stupid how your parents are trying to force you out of it and it isn't right at all, but I guess I can see their side because I used to be on that side. Not discriminating or anything - just confused about how a show like that would appeal to men. You just need them to understand why you like it. That's all. If they don't understand... just do your own thing. Ignore them. They can't control you and shouldn't try to control you.

Have any episodes ever made you cry?

Ah, thank you very much. I just thought that because the video is embedded on the page that posting the link alone wouldn't automatically do that. :/

I don't know. I don't know why people have to be so sensitive over petty matters. They feel like they need to protect those who are 'different' and as such their personalities are never portrayed. Jeez, everyone is different. How is portraying our differences in any shape or form offensive? It would be great if there was an episode dedicated to Derpy as I think it would work great. I mean, they've given episodes to the Cutie Mark Crusaders, so why not develop background characters a little?

I'd read anything if it's actually written well. Whenever there's something that's become strangely popular, I have to investigate, which is why I ended up reading Twilight and even Fifty Shades of Grey, which were complete wastes of time and money. I got 25% through the latter and can't go any further because it's simply written horrendously that it makes my eyes bleed. It's also why I gave My Little Pony even though I was dubious about it. I read one shipping fanfic by accident because I didn't know what the 'shipping' tag even meant. The thing is that it was written well in my opinion, therefore I enjoyed it even though it's lesbian pony love. So if it's written well, I will read it. I have to say that I'm glad I'm as open minded as I am. The story is called 'We'll Keep in Touch' if you want to check it out. Doesn't really capture the characters' personalities all that well, but the story takes place somewhere in the future, so it's not like it's a whole big deal.
