@@RattPitt,

That whole album was awesome.

@@Radiobolt,

I used to, but I moved along into heavier realms. They were my introduction to metal though, I still love the S&M album. (Black album, live with symphony orchestra) And Ride the lightning is good too. Judas Priest was another band I liked back then, still do but I don't really listen to them as much. The Painkiller album is metal as all hell though. Doesn't get much more epic than a fire breathing machine angel, riding a living motorcycle that has saw blades for wheels.

Also this is one awesome classic. The Hellion-Electric eye. It's about spy sattelites keeping everything under control.

Also I have to say, those album covers were freaking bad ass.

Slayer are going to release a new song called You Against You off their upcoming album. It will be up on the following url: http://www.scionav.com/

at 10pm PST and 1pm EST. You will be able to stream it, and the first 15,000 listener can download it for free!

Here's a video to proove it from a Metal news channel that I trust:

I hope this is gonna be better than the monotome Cast The First Stone (a new song they released as a Adult-Swin E-Single)

@@RattPitt,

Arguably Tool dabbled in that idea with 10000 days. There's a couple songs that get that tribal beat going, and even an interlude where there's actual native chanting. Then they bust out into a song about losing your mind on DMT, but that's a whole other animal.

On that note. My favorite band of all. o3o

@@Denim&Venom,

I didn't know Jekyll and Hyde was new. I listened to that one a little while ago. Don't remember it though.

I've actually heard more from them than I remember. I've heard Hard To See and War is the Answer in the past. I just bought the album. Good to know I'm not totally out of the loop.

Speaking of FFDP - they can pull off a pretty damn good cover too

(I know the first minute or so isn't really the cover, but it is in there )

OK, so two songs. Scale the summit has a brand new album out now. I highly recommend it, it's just amazing. http://www.scalethesummit.com/

Since they aren't yet available on youtube, I'll link you a taste of what to expect. Starting with "The Dark Horse". This song gives me the image of coming to the surface under water in the beginning. Meeting the rippled mirror, and coming out into a hailstorm of complex riffs and heavy rhythm.

Next we have another good one from the same album. "Odyssey" This is actually the very beginning track of the album. Brace yourself for a front of crazy guitar licks, and complex melodies. It may not be as heavy as some bands, but it has something very unique.

@@RattPitt, That band is phenomenal. I loved that album from front to back.

On that note, here's something a little more brutal in theme.

And since no one's posted anything yet today, I'll just add this on here. Anyone who's ever suffered sleep paralysis can relate to this song.

"Lay down fall away
Lie awake
Just cannot move
My arms and legs
I'm paralyzed
Don't recall how to free
Myself from this
In the heart of the dark
My face contorted
Don't know how to
Reach the light
But I feel so bad
Like a freak in a cage"
