Least Favorite Brony reviewer

Forgot to mention one I'm not too fond of is Mage. She guessed starred in one of Silver Quill's videos and complained that the gag where big mac scared apple bloom with a shark "Didn't make since because how could sharks be in a lake?" Really, that's the oldest gag in the comedy book. Also, all I remember doing was saying stuff like, "X character is slightly different, I want the character like he/she was in season 1!" Yeah, I don't like people using nostalgia as an argument.

I actually find Antony C to be pretty engaging and charismatic, but I think his analysis is pretty awful at times and he tries WAY too hard to be the RedLetterMedia of the MLP community (as so many other reviewers do). i dont really watch a lot of reviewers, those i do watch sometimes are tommy oliver,digibro and TBBBAP.

 

i like all of them,especially TBBBAP are awesome.

people i dont like, i dont watch.

its ok to give feedback,but its important to understand when something is objectively bad and when it simply isnt your cup of tea.

I certainly like some of the Brony analysts. It's pretty hard to annoy me generally, but two traits which most certainly do are anger and pretentiousness. I can actually really enjoy reviews that I don't agree with so long as they don't contain either of those two things. So to that end, from what I remember of him anyway, I really couldn't stand The Voice of Reason. As much as I'm not usually provocative, the fact that someone would even put something like that in their name speaks volumes about their own pretentiousness.

 

I don't really dislike any other reviewers persay, but I do have minor complaints with one or two:

• Digibrony can occasionally be pretentious/angry, though I don't personally think he's anywhere near as bad as this thread is making him out to be.
• Tommy Oliver is similar to Digi in this regard, although he tends to err more on the side of rage than pretentiousness for me (from memory, see his Daring Don't review for a good example of the rage aspect).
• I actually really like Dr Wolf's content, but I'm not a huge fan of his delivery - it sounds somewhat dry and almost deadpan to me. I actually laughed out loud when I found out he worked in accounting since he fulfills the stereotype pretty well.

Those videos do not interest me. What is the point of watching an experience, if you could have it yourself. (Stare at the cake being eaten, or eat it?) All of them as far as I am concerned.

I only tried watching DigiBrony and while at 1st he was pretty cool,after awhile he started to get on my nerves and his reaction to Castlemania was the last straw for me and i stopped caring to watch his vids anymore,that and his voice started to irritate me after awhile.

But judging by what I've read here, this DigiBrony guy doesn't sound that pleasant...

I do believe in the value of analysis, even when it comes to a show about pastel-colored talking ponies. 

 

This is why I like season three Digibro. 

 

Season four Digibro is a different matter entirely. His Bats review was blisteringly stupid, especially because he missed the point of the episode. I didn't watch many of his videos after that (especially after he switched to that insufferable new OC) but I did try watching his Twilight's Kingdom review only to turn it off after he started whining about the design of Twilight's new castle. Way to keep perspective there, Digi! So I'm going to go with him as my least favorite. 

 

Now, if any of you want to watch a reviewer who is reasonable and makes good points I would direct you to Strebiskunk.

The only reviwer I actually like is Luffyiscool. He's funny and has good points, and the fact he reviews while watching the episode for the first time makes it more authentic. I really don't like anyone else, because

1) They overanalyze way too much.

2) Some are just clueless

3) Don't like something? Fine. But LEAVE IT ALONE. Don't drag on about how much you hate something.

 

Also, some people from Bronies React are pretty funny.

Byter. He can't handle you disagreeing with him.

When you give reasons he just stonewalls the argument with pointless nonsense.

 

His reviews often involve him just listing things he personally dislikes, but he doesn't explain why and presents it as an objective fact rather than his opinion.

 

He also does that weird thing I saw from a /mlp/ user named Noctis where he considers himself very rational but is actually very unreasonable, and claims to not care for feeling validated by others but can't ignore anything negative said about him and often takes it personally.

Digibrony, by far. I like watching MLP analysis and reviews actually, because even if I don't agree with someone, I'm not blind to my own opinion, and I like hearing others take on something. Unless they overly nitpick the shit out of something. MrEnter is my favorite by far, because he's the most unbiased in my opinion. I also don't like Tommy Oliver. And I stay away from reviewers like Byter, because I'm smart.

 

If I had to go with one, I'd constructively say that MrEnter needs to improve his tone and style, and avoid personal grudges from interfering with his presentation (as with "Twilight's Kingdom", he blindly praised it out of a grudge with the rest of the analysis community for being overly negative). I actually prefer his other cartoon reviews to his MLP ones because he's one of the only general Western animation reviewers out there.

Couldn't have said it better. MrEnter is #1, Digi is garbage (and boring I might add), and Tommy Oliver is also bad (although better than Digi and is not nearly as boring. However, I hate him more because I've seen most of his videos and I find myself disagreeing with something in every single one). It's also painfully obvious that Digi and Tommy are highly influenced by RedLetterMedia to the detriment of their own analysis (they try so hard to find damning plot holes that they often miss obvious answers or miss the point entirely) Edited July 22, 2014 by LZRD WZRD

I don't necessarily hate him but I ain't watching another video of him. also why are so many people putting jerry peet on here he said himself that he's not a reviewer. Also hearing about butter and digi on here I guess put them on the list

Its perfectly fine to provide constructive criticism, but when you're naming your least favourite brony reviewers it runs the risk of turning into nothing but shit talk.
