Which episode is scarier, lesson zero or party of one.

I think Party of One. The scene of Pinkamena with the inanimate objects was definitely shocking for a little girls' show. That's like something you'd see in a Ren & Stimpy episode.

I agree about the fact it sounds like a ren and stimpy episode.

Party of One definitely. Lesson Zero's tone was mostly humor while Party of One's tone was more serious (given the circumstances), plus Party of One is a better episode overall. It's just scarier since you see a normally optimistic pony have a mental breakdown and then replace her friends with inanimate objects.

Lesson Zero was just a much better written episode in my opinion (in my top 10). Party of One's moral was kind of messed up as it came from Twilight and not from Pinkie (fault of the massive problem in season 1), and it was quite slow paced and not as relatable as Lesson Zero in my opion. Still I thought Party of One was alright, it was fun to see Pinkie go mad and it was quite sinister and really fun in places.

It also didn't know what it was trying to teach and I thought the ending was just a bit weak. Instead of the rest of the mane 6 owning up to Pinkie and her understanding, they were just getting ready for her party, undermining the point of the episode.

I also disagree that Lesson Zero was more comic and Party of One more dark. Whilst I think that in places Party of One was trying to imitate Jack Nicholson as the Joker, it was kind of funny and done in a campy way. In a show like this you have to water these kind of episodes down with comedy, otherwise there just too scary.

Niether.  I know it aired way later, but I actually thought "inspiration manifestation" was way scarier then either of the other two.  It had the same premise as the other two (one of the mane six's mental breakdown) but because the character in question was Rarity, her decent into madnesss was much slower and gradual and more realistic.  I just think that made it all the more disturbing.

I think Lesson Zero because it was kinda disturbing watching Twi slowly deteriorate across the whole episode...

Just asking are there any Creepypasta/Gorefics made about crazy Twilight? Just wondering...

Lesson Zero. I scared the heck out of me, I thought that at the end Celestia was going to kill Twi. It also kind of reminds me of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask because when the day was ending she was panicking.

None of them are scary to me. They're episodes where a Mane 6 pony loses her mind for a reason.

All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.

I honestly found The Return of Harmony to be scary.

Discord's perversion of the mane 6's elements was more disturbing than any dark room. And his chaotic way of manipulating reality is fun and funny (A La Sheogorath) but in reality it would be incredibly distressing and is just as evil as torching the place.

I think Party of One was 'scarier' because of the creepy music in the background when Pinkie was losing her mind. Then again, Twi was pretty deranged in Lesson Zero as well... I'm still going with Party of One because lord knows I hate creepy carnival music.

Neither episode was scary at all. Sure, in Party of One Pinkie Pie went a little off the wall, but any part of that which would be taken as "scary" is all nonsense made up by the fandom, and has nothing to do with that which is canon.

Lesson Zero is very, very strange, but not scary.

Well, yeah, they may not have been all that scary but they're definitely disturbing.

Lesson zero was a real trip to me because it shows what can happen when somepony lets their fears, insecurities and imagination combine and run rampant. Mix that with a little misused magic and you end up with the kind of chaos even Discord would have a hard time believing a pony could create. (Still, I'm sure he'd be very amused by it.) That it happened to one of the most stable, well grounded ponies in Ponyville only makes it all the more disturbing.

I'm throwing in this

only because I think they sound absolutely adorable when speaking Japanese, especially Twilight!

As for Party Of One, well, whoah! That one was really disturbing to me because it gave us all a glimpse into just how psychotic Pinkie Pie can be when she's driven to the edge. (That girl has got some real issues! LOL)

I think if there's one frightening moment in that episode it's between 16:37 and 16:39 when the music gets all weird and we actually see Pinkie's psychotic break happen.

Uh, yeah, it's a pretty scary moment when Pinkie loses her mind!

Unfortunately, it's not the last time we get to see Pinkie go off the deep end. She does it again in S04E14 Filli Vanilli when she tortures poor Fluttershy and scares the living daylights out of her.

When it comes to Pinkie, I have to wonder just how much of her over-the-top personality and even her psychotic moments come from her massive consumption of sugar? I mean, really! Does she ever eat normal food?

Now, I'm wondering what she'd be like if she stopped eating sugar completely? (I bet she'd be pretty boring. LOL)
