What Do You Want To See Most In season Five?

Like any other Joe over here, I'm insanely hyped for season five, and I already love the direction they're going with the spoilers we have!  But I still have some concepts and episode ideas that I would love to come true. Here are the synopsises!

 

#1: Diamond Tiara is forced to stay at Sweet Apple Acres for a few days while Filthy Rich needs her out of the way for important business guests at his house, and Silver Spoon's family is out of town (SInce the Apple family is business associates with DT's family). I think this would be a good opportunity for character development on DT's part, since obiously she would have to compare the close bonds of the Apple Family to her relationship with her dad (most of the fandom generally likes to theorize that Filthy Rich ignores her a lot). This is the only episode I have planned out quite so clearly, since I know exactly what role everypony will play in it. AJ is charitable to DT, because she's perceptive about her issues, and also pretty mature. But Apple Bloom is mad at her until the very end, in which she would start to learn about DT's life and be able to at least sympathise when friendship isn't an option. Whether or not Diamond Tiara gets redeemed at the end, or if she just becomes more bitter towards Apple Bloom, I don't know. 

#2: An entire episode centering around Luna and Celestia. I have high hopes for the confirmed episode where Luna has a nightmare, but WE NEED MORE CELESTIAL SISTERS! Perhaps this could be tied in with more History of Equestria stuff, maybe even Discord's origin story! Sounds like an instant fan favorite, especially for one Miss Ink Rose...

 

#3: This one would be controversial, since it's a big shift in the status quo, and I would reserve it for the finale: Twilight should repurpose her new castle as a school for all the foals in Ponyville, where they learn about The Elements of Harmony and things like that!  Though this could be debunked as soon as Season Five comes out, because it seems they already have plans for that castle with the map and stuff.

 

#4: And I have just a few more concepts too--

Explain how AJ's parents died, Hasbro. Y'know. For kids. 

Have an episode where we see Dash's new life as a Wonderbolt Reserve in action. 

Love interests that are actually interesting. I wanna see the mane six date stallions that aren't boring like Flash Sentry!

Cadance gets pregnant. 

The Cutie Mark Crusaders get their cutie marks already. But I'm pretty damn sure they're gonna get 'em this season, based on the themes and that clip of Sweetie Belle singing.

1. Episode 100. Looking forward to a background-pony centred show.

2. Mention of or (preferably) travel to Vanhoover. It's the only city on Hasbro's map of Equestria they haven't referenced in the show.
 

3. Auntie Twilight Sparkle.

 

4. More Griffins! More about them, too!

 

5. Bring back changelings!

 

6. Something about Applejack's parents. Either her happy memories of them, or how she coped with their loss.

 

7. Let Ditzy Doo speak again. And give her a canon name once and for all.

 

8. Discord. Because Discord.

 

9. Spike getting some more (consistent) respect. (The Crystal Empire heroism helped, but c'mon, he's a good dragon!)

 

10. Rainbow Dash gets her fulltime gig in the Wonderbolts.

 

11. Flash Sentry

 

Those are my hopes.

Since we seem to be going with individuality, special talents, and cutie marks as an overarching theme for Season 5, I had an idea for an episode where an adult blank flank character inspires the Cutie Mark Crusaders and meets with the Mane 6 for help in finding his own cutie mark. The importance of cutie marks and self-identity had gone under-explored in Season 4, especially coming off of Twilight's princess ascension, and I'm glad to see this as a theme for S5.

 

This idea would have the potential to be its season's "Pinkie Pride" in terms of narrative distinctiveness and development of characters and the world. It would provide a character that those of us with little idea of what to do with our lives can relate to on a level the Mane 6 and the Crusaders cannot. It could touch on aspects of cutie marks that all of those Season 1 Crusaders episodes couldn't by further exploring just how dear Equestria holds this aspect as a pillar of its society and how some of its foremost citizens would react to the rare phenomenon of somepony growing up before knowing what their special talent is.

 

It's not 100% out of the question, nor is it a 100% new idea. One of the most popular bronies I know on DeviantArt, EStories, has two successful comic arcs out, one of them focusing on an adult blank flank's (Alice) encounters with Discord as she attempts to find herself. @Ryo also does it with her OC, and I myself have done it, finding the possibilities and potential of writing for an adult OC with no cutie mark to be interesting and different from the norm. In the end, it's not an unproven concept, and will do much more good to the series than not doing it.

Anyways what I would love to see is a villain arc.  While some are predicting that Starlight will get away to menace the Mane 6 again I personally would love it that she is instead recruited by the true finale villain who is cunningly smart, far above even Twilight.  We would see them again in the 100th episode and several background episodes with what will probably be the cutie mark equivalent of the key arc in Season 4.  Basically have a villain that doesn't just come out of nowhere and proves just how much of a threat they are without having to resort to magic laser beams to win.

Anyway, apart of what's already confirmed (BG ponies as focus, another side of Diamond Tiara, traveling trough Equestria), I want to see Cady and Shiny's kid, AND FREAKING BAT PONIES

There are a lot of things that I want to see this season, but one thing I would especially like to see would be a reference to Family Guy or South Park.

Honestly, I want to see a return of Queen Chrysalis. I don't think villians from previous seasons are recycled much except for Discord, but her "Team Rocket" style defeat was too...lame.

Then again, i'm new here, and from what I know, there's already a diffrerent new villian that's going to be in Season 5. And this is MLP, so big evil villains like Chrysalis are probably not going to show up often.

Since it was so lacking in Season 4, more development of Twilight's character, both as a princess and more importantly as an individual.

 

What good is it if the main protagonist of the show hardly gets her own screen time and is given a title that she herself understands zilch about?

I just don't want them to flanderize Twilight or have her question her role and mission. She can still have doubts, but not of her being the Princess of Friendship. Just let her do her job!

1. More Princess Twilight. This being one of my favorite additions to the show, I really want to see more from her as a princess and I want to see it shown in a positive way. Now that she actually has a title and knows her place with it, they can take it much further.

 

2. Babs. Because Babs was awesome. It was a shame that she was dropped from season 4 entirely.

 

3. More general advancement for the show.

 

4. Another winter themed episode of some kind, if possible.

 

5. Songs as wonderful as the last season

 

Overall, I am going into this season with open expectations.
