Have trouble smiling?

Lucky you.

But in general I would advice anyone to not smile too much. Its insincere, you know?

I actually find smiling pretty sincere, like if it's a fake smile than obviously not because you know.....it's um.....fake......but as for smiling in general, if someone happens to naturally smile a lot. I don't see a problem with that.

I mean for instance, if I smile at someone, real or fake, I want them to smile back at me! Or at least acknowledge it, whether it be with a nod or something like that (which mostly guys do) just something. But for me to look over at someone randomly, happen to smile at them b/c that's generally the thing that happens if I look over randomly at someone (for whatever reason), I usually want a quick smile back.

Maybe I sound like I have high expectations but I don't find that to be much.

I can't smile unless I'm looking at something cute (like an animal.), or if something makes me laugh...

I find it weird when people constantly use that annoying "fake-smile" though.

Is it weird that I'm like one of the only people in here who smiles naturally quite a bit?? Like even if I'm depressed, it doesn't take much for me to smile.

As for fake smiling, I do OK with it, it doesn't usually look natural. But normally if I don't feel like smiling, I don't.

This is exactly what my current situation is ^^

I have no trouble smiling, but I usually fake my smiles. The only time I smile for real is when I'm happy about something which is very rarely lately.

Yep, and I've gotten a lot of grief over the years because of it. I have the worst resting face (think of it as Rainbow Dash's angry face from Tanks for the Memories), so most of the time I look incredibly pissed, even if I'm in the best of moods. My dad would always lecture me on smiling more, to make myself more approachable, but I'd prefer to smile when there's something to smile about. rainbow_dash_rage_face_vector_by_rebron_

Yes. I don't smile often, unless I'm around people who make me happy. I suck at forcing smiles. But when I do smile, it's genuine.

I can force a smile just fine. In fact, I find myself smiling naturally way too easily. :adorkable:

Someone can just walk up and start talking to me and chances are at some point I'll start to grin like a doofus. I get really smiley when complimented or when joking around. It's slightly embarrassing sometimes tbh because it usually leads to me getting awkwardly giggly or rosy-faced.

Then there's the other extreme where if I am upset, really concentrated or focused on something, or just plain daydreaming, I typically have this very serious, almost perturbed expression, furled brows and all, and it's not exactly friendly or flattering. There's no happy medium with me, unfortunately. >_>

I for one love smiling and I can easily fake one at any given moment. However I don't exactly have the prettiest smile... a bent front tooth (darn little mini me deciding to suck her thumb) and just general blehness when I smile. So preferably I try to keep my smiles to a small twitch at each side of my mouth in pictures which always comes out rather sinister. I never win x3

What about folks who can do it well?

I can actually force smiles extremely well... I'm typically smiling anyways. But, fake smiles are natural to me. That... and I'm literally happy and smiling all the time so... it's hard for me not to have something to smile about.

I know it's weird, but it's really hard for me to smile. I can't smile if I'm not laughing xD

Same path, totally agree~ xD    :pinkie:  :pinkie: ^~^ <3 :D;)

In pictures, I do not like to smile with my teeth showing. My upper lip sort of ''folds'' up. I have less of a problem with my lips closed in a smile, but I still think I look weird. Though when I'm laughing, I don't give a s*** about what I look like,
