Would a pony be a scary girlfriend/boyfriend?

Would a pony be a scary girlfriend/boyfriend? (Note you are still human... normal human not overpowered magic human) 

 

Just think an Earth Pony had super strength... so yeah, that's quite intimidating. The pegasus can fly, that's is also quite intimidating. Unicorns... they got magic... it get even scarier if your girlfriend/boyfriend is an alicorn as powerful as Twilight Sparkle or  Princess Celestia. And... it gets even scarier if they are as overpowered as some ponies from fan fiction.

 

 

Would you not be scared of them and trust them not to hurt you even though their bodies are vastly physically stronger than your own... topped off with them having magic?

People could be scary too. I mean, if you were dating a really athletic person who likes to work out and is really strong, that could potentially be intimidating. If you were dating somebody who say, served in the military and knows how to work weapons that could be intimidating. Even a completely average person could possibly be intimidating sometimes.

 

 Sure, a pony could hurt me. But if I'm dating them I'd assume I trust them, trust they wouldn't just hurt me on purpose. If they love me why would they want to? I might be a little scared of them hurting me accidentally, but anyone can do that, even without extremely powerful magic, or big muscles.

 

 Plus, look at them. They're adorable. It's kinda hard to be scared of anyone, or anypony that cute.

If I suddenly woke up to find a pony was now my girlfriend I would personally be terrified to high heaven. I wouldn't know what in the hell is going on. It would probably drive me insane, I don't know.

Depends on their ability to speak our language and their appearance. If they look something like those blender/SFM models and can speak our language, I guess it's fine (Such win!).   But, an actual pony from our world who is sentient and have powers would not be a good soon-to-be girlfriend/boyfriend. 

 

Of course, it also depends on their personality and the way they handle their emotions. Imagine, you dropped your phone and he/she got really mad of your incompetence   and bucks you through the hallway. Ouch. You wouldn't want that. Trust me. Broken ribs, fractured backbone, trauma, etc. Yeah, you got the picture.

Basic rule of any relationship. If you can't trust that they will do their damnedest not to hurt you, then it's possibly not the right relationship to be in.

Although if you're talking purely physical, as in you're worried they might not know the limits of their strength, then I wouldn't be worried. A little roughhousing never hurt anyone. They're also only like 3'4" anyway, so I don't think it'd be that easy to get injured. Perhaps if they stood on your foot.

I wouldn't say they would be scary unless you hurt them. Which is the same for human companions. The only really difference I would see is the physical appearance.

It depends, I wouldn't be intimidated by most of the ponies because even with the strength/power differences they don't tend to be violent. I am much stronger than your average person but I know that Applejack could probably snap me like a twig if she wanted to but probably wouldn't unless I actually did try to threaten her, her friends of family which is something I wouldn't do. And the power differential could make for some interesting roleplay in the bedroom.

I feel that having a pony boyfriend wouldn't be that scary, I would actually feel safer, knowing that they would protect me very well. I think it would be pretty amazing, but I don't know much.

Scary? No. And I am presuming we are talking about magical talking cartoon "ponies" (inter dimensional aliens, really), here.

 

I would of course ask for the fillyfriend to turn to me in to one of their kind, preferably a uni. If they weren't a unicorn I would ask them if they would find somepony who could do the transformation. Then, well, Earth kinda sucks, so we could move to a proper world and live happy lives.

 

Or am I over thinking this?

No, we wouldn't. Imposing all of humanity to turn into ponies would make us enraged to hell. There would be war, no question. 

 

Sure, I some humans would want to become a ponies. But, I'm pretty sure most humans would want to remain human.
