Were you playing Skyrim when you wrote that? I can imagine Twilight bumping into a cartoon version of Khajiit ninjas. Nah Just kidding. It's a neat idea, and we do have Zecora after all... So perhaps we'll see where her homeland is at some point? Plus we did get to see a couple ponies from Saddle Arabia, though I forget which episode the screenshot is from.

An episode where everyone pony or non-pony turns into an alicorn and then flies around for the entire length of a typical MLP show.

Here’s a suggestion for the darkest, most intense MLP two part episode yet.  It’s so powerful that the writers may have to take some care to maintain the TV Y rating.  But seeing how they handled A Canterlot Wedding and The Crystal Empire, I know they are up to the task.  While I came up with this episode proposal independently, it also draws on some of the ideas Chaotic Discord mentioned on page 13.
 

Part 1. The Return of King Sombra.  Sombra ambushes Canterlot and makes short work of Celestia and Luna. Reinforcements arrive in the form of Cadance, Shining Armor, and Twilight Sparkle. Because Sombra is immune to light magic (save for the Crystal Heart), beating him requires Twilight Sparkle to use all of the black magic she knows instead.  She manages to kill him, this time for good.  But this victory comes with a very high price.  Twilight’s overuse of dark magic has corrupted her and made HER the next major villain!  Worse yet, her powers clearly make her stronger than the other five combined.

 

Part 2.  It’s Always Darkest Before Twilight.  They try every tactic they can, but to no avail.  Even Pinkie’s antics are no match for the newly evil Twilight.  Injuries sustained in the original battle against Sombra have left powerful alicorn allies like Celestia and Cadance unable to help.  They must somehow find a way to fight Twilight while at the same time trying to save her before it’s too late.  Twi’s propensity to unravel when faced with an unsolvable problem provides the glimmer of hope they need. 

 

I know Meghan has said Sombra is dead and he’s not coming back.  She’s unlikely to authorize his resurrection. An alternative would be for Chrysalis, or maybe a brand new villain, to find his severed horn and gain his immunity to light magic from that.  Thus they would assume the role of the primary antagonist in this episode.

This is my idea for the episode when the Cutie Mark Crusaders finally get their cutie marks:

 

Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle are doing an activity together without Scoolaloo, when Sweetie Belle gets her cutie mark.  Scootaloo is upset about being left out, so Apple Bloom offers to do another activity just the two of them.  This time, Scootaloo gets her cutie mark.  Now Apple Bloom is the one who feels left out.  She decides to go visit Babs, and then Babs gets her cutie mark as well.  Apple Bloom is furious that she is the only one to not get her cutie mark.  But then she realizes that her special talent was helping her friends to get their cutie mark - which causes hers to appear.

Politics in Ponyville!

 

This is what I envision. It's election time in Ponyville, and things don't look good for our incumbent. A new pony in town is running against Mayor Mare. He's out shaking hooves and kissing foals, trying to become everypony's friend. Fluttershy learns his secret though. Big Timber is backing his election bid! If elected, the new mayor would spearhead an all out effort to cut down all the trees of Everfree Forest, thus ruining the homes of all her critter friends. The mane six step in, and lead the campaign to get Mayor Mare re-elected! As  twist, the new pony could be Mayor Mare's brother. They never got along growing up!

Actually this is how most governors win elections in our Human World ;-J But it wouldn't be so if there weren't so many gullible people who gets caught on these tricks ;-)

Good choice of character :-> She won't be able to just tell everyone ;-) She will need help.

Again, this is how politics usually work in our world :-> This could be a good lesson for the spectators, which they could apply to their own lives to not trust politicians, especially those who are backed by powerful elite (banksters, oil barons, big pharmas etc.).

And this would be perhaps the most difficult part of your plot: how to top the leading candidate and his naughty tricks? How to win with his money and powerful backing? How to convince people not by doing the same naughty things and deceiving the citizens? This would be even better lesson for the spectators. I'm curious about this too, how would you solve these problems.

 

As  twist, the new pony could be Mayor Mare's brother. They never got along growing up!

 

Yeah, that would be a twist, but completely unnecessary and unrelated to the main moral, I think.

I just realized my episode idea a few posts back had a minor plothole.  How was Cadance's shield able to stop Sombra if he's immune to light magic?  My guess is that her magic has the same resonance as the Crystal Heart.  Cadance's destiny was to save the Crystal Empire from Sombra so this makes sense in theory.  

 

For the heck of it, I have one more episode idea.  Everybody loses their extraordinary powers.  Due to a weird spell or other mishap, they lose the ability to do a lot of things.

 

Twilight and Rarity:  They lose all magic powers except for limited telekinesis which is a unicorn's birthright. 

Fluttershy:  No longer able to communicate with animals and they don't like her anymore either. 

Rainbow Dash:  She may not become as weak as Fluttershy, but her great flying power and weather control abilities will be gone.

Pinkie Pie:  No more cartoon antics or powers.  She will even try to break the fourth wall once...and FAIL!

Applejack:  She may lose some finesse with the lasso or a smidgen of her rodeo strength and skills.  But because her talents aren't inherently superequine to begin with, she'll be the least impacted.  This will allow her to emerge as the episode's hero. 

 

When Rainbow Dash complains that she now, basically, sucks, Fluttershy will give her a sympathetic “Welcome to my world!”  And apologies if somebody else already threw this idea out there.  Just remember that great minds think alike. 

 

Should MLP:FiM set up a “suggestion box” for future episodes?  I think even that would run against the “never read fanworks” protocol that the writers observe.  They would have no way to tell if proposals are based on fanfiction or not.  I honestly thought up the synopsis for an evil Twilight story while I was daydreaming at work yesterday.  But that doesn’t mean nobody else wrote out the same thing already.  And while I wouldn’t submit an idea based on any fanfiction that I’m aware of, we can’t count on every contributor to be equally honest.  The only way they be certain that plotline similarities between canon and fanon are strictly coincidental is to ignore all outside suggestions.

Synopsis: All of the Mane 6's parents had visited Ponyville for Hearth's Warming Eve this year. All except one's; Applejack's. When the outgoing country mare suddenly turns reclusive during the holiday season and stops wearing her usual stetson, her friends are determined to find out why. 

 

 I actually think that Lauren and some animators will get the permission to make this, as an non-official episode realeased on Youtube. Let's hope...

 Huh...I'm actually thinking of something.  Now that Twilight is a princess, she decides to pardon Trixie and set up a job fo her, as a filly's magician.. Unfortunatley, one certain non-pony spectator is not impressed now that Trixie's sort of a goody-goody, and now Trixie will have to try to pull Gilda out of the dark side, hoping that nothing bad happens. Well, she hopes that nothing bad happens...

In the event that Twi doesn't get turned back into a unicorn, then I think one day she'll be fooling around with some spells, and that makes them switch their bodies, kinda like the S3 finale, but not quite. OR...... she might turn them into males!!!

OR>>>>>>>>> she turns evil and her friends have to fight against her...... OR..... she makes a spell that accidentally makes her go back to the time before she turned into a princess, and everything is back the way it was before And the spell went like this:

 

The destiny fulfilled

Six lives intertwined

As the words say it clearly

The sun, the moon

The rain and the fall

Though the destiny is fulfilled

Turns it back to normal

 

Whaddaya think???

My ideas

1. Pinkie Pie goes too far partying when something terrible happens and swears to never party again, but soon realizes just how hard that'll be.
2. Twilight had a deep dark secert that she does't want anyone to know, and everyone spends the episode trying to find out what is as she desperatly tries to hide it.
3. The mane six have a sleepover gone wrong (Kinda like Look Beore you Sleep 2)
4. Something to do with them switching personalities
5. A beach episode

Now that's what I'm talking about! perfect: 

1: one of the mane 6 gets badly injured in a party gone wild, and pinkie promises never to party again

2: Twilight's secret s that she used to stalk Celestia when she was little

3:A sleepover, in which Twilight's treehouse will never be the same

4:YES! A PONYNALITY SWITCH!

5:the beach... we need the beach... would make for a great neutral episode

Story:

 

When a massive thunderstorm has the ponies stuck inside for the day, Twilight suggests they pass the time with her favorite board game: Mazes & Manitcores. While skeptical to play such a strange game at first, the Mane 6 soon find themselves immersed in a fantasy world filled with danger and adventure!

 

Moral:

 

No letter/Spoken lesson for this one. Just a half-hour (maybe even an hour) long episode in which we see the Mane 6's alter-egos in a fantasy Roleplaying style adventure.

 

This is an idea I'd really like to flesh out, whether it's in script format or a fan-ficition piece. I know the whole "Ponies playing D&D" idea isn't unique, but I feel it'd be an interesting change of pace from the regular slice-of-life style episodes the show is known for, and it allows for us to see the Mane 6 playing completely different roles like in Hearth's Warming Eve, without worrying about them falling out of character.

She tries and tries, and Rarity gives her advice, but her artworks still look like messes. But what she doesn't notice is that they look a little less like a mess each time. When she finally breaks down and leaves during a critique session, Rarity, the star pupil, gets the entire class and the teacher to send their own, positive review of her last, unfinished painting to Applejack's mailbox. When she finds the teacher's comments on her improvement, she finishes the painting and returns the next day. It's a picture of her mixing paint in her pallet. And after the workshop is over, Applejack is the only one to continue her painting hobby, and happily does so.

 

Moral: It takes patience and practice to become good at something. It doesn't just happen overnight.

Well, the same can be said for Rarity, as her episodes usually involve going to a high-class event or making dresses. It's a shame the best ponies get the least creative episodes, while Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie get all of the interesting ideas.

 

That said, I tend to enjoy AJ and Rarity's episodes the best, and Look Before You Sleep is my personal favorite.

A episode were pinkiepie sees twilight looking at her family routes in her libary pinkie wonders what hers are as they talk a book shelf opens and after a couple of daring do / spy level traps pinkie finds a golden scrowl that has pinkies family tree on it.....

somehow shes a direct desendent of the apple family twilight explains to pinkiepie that it might be fake knowing pinkie doesnt like

working but pinkiepie knowing its not her destiny but her family decides to visit the apple farm and tell aj aj..........

aj is shocked at the news pinkie decides to come to sweet apple acres every day and help work(and use her country acient) she befreinds granny smith( they already know each other and are freinds but become deeper bounded) then big mac apple bloom through is a bit werided out about these thinking working pinkie pie is a bit annoying but they eventually become greater friends after pinkie trys to help apple bloom get a baking cuite mark again aj after hearing apple blooms help through and several day past is getting annoyed by the peppy pinkiepie working there and trying to be her family she vents her frustration on applebloom and pinkie hears (regretfully) pinkie decides to leave the apple farm after today apple jack regrets her anger and heads to her apple stand to get away from pinkie as that happens twilight buys a apple (asking her a bit for her thoughts) aj explains what happend and twilight explains that other than her mom dad and sisters pinkie has no family she knows of apple jack runs to sweet apple acres apoligizes to pinkie and(pinkie apoligizes a bit to) they do some work in a fun way power by pinkies random ideas of collect apples intel night apple jack asks if pinkie will do these again but pinkie has discovers a smuge on the family tree instead of applejack being related to pinkie pinkie is realted to.........

I'd definitely like to see an episode with the ponies and Changelings, not necessarily becoming friends, but forming a peace or promise of non-aggression. I mean, come on people, if Celestia is so willing to give Discord, freaking DISCORD a chance to reform, then sorry, I cannot see any reason we she would not be willing to extend a friendly hoof to the Changelings. Here's my episode idea:

 

 

In order to try and establish a sense of Peaceful Coexistence (doubtfully the word used) between Equestria and the Changeling Kingdom, Chrysalis' daughter, the young Princess Pupa is sent over as an exchange student/take a tour of Equestria. The gang expect the daughter to be a fierce, black-hearted warrior-like princess, but when her armored train arrives (accompanies by armed guard) she is revealed to be a tiny, bespectacled and all around adorably sweet Changeling (add in asthma and the frequent use of inhaler) who could rival Sweetie Belle in terms of giving a viewer diabetes by her sheer cuteness.

 

Of course, we have the usual shenanigans with cultural clashes (bonus points if the Changelings' culture is given an explanation, something from the Far East like Japan and Korea would be really interesting), with a written message/threat by Chrysalis to the Mane Six that if a single hair on Pupa's pig tailed mane is hurt, she'll personally bite their heads off one by one. However, some of the Mane Six decide they want to see if they can pump any secret information about Changeling government and military secrets out of the filly (behind Celestia's back) by sending in the CMC to befriend her. They eventually get nothing and are surprised (despite Pupa's young age and already innocent appearance and demeanor) that she knows little to nothing of her mother's dealings and plans - she doesn't even know about the Canterlot Invasion, which can lead to a classic Fawlty Towers, "Don't mention the war/invasion!" set of jokes.

 

A good twist in the plot is that the CMC and Pupa go missing, and remembering Chrysalis' warning, begin a desperate search for them.

 

I can definitely see this working out if it is done well. I'd like to see Dave Polsky or Meghan take a shot at it. Can't think of a title though. Free Brohoof to anyone who can come up with a title for this idea.

I would do one centering around Fluttershy's family called "A Fluttershy Family Reunion" Her dad is very assertive, and her mother is very hot headed, and that is why Fluttershy is so shy.

 

Or one centering around Scootoloo's parents, her father is a royal guard thought to have been killed in battle, and her mother was with him. I would call it "Scootoloo's parents".

 

Then another would be "The AJ Story." We find out what happened to Mr. and Mrs. Apple. They both died in the tractor incident.

 

All my ideas are probably to serious for Hasbro to manage, so they probably will never be episodes like that. But how cool would that be, right?

I wouldn't be so sure. As far as I know, Lauren Faust is no longer working on MLP:FiM. Now it's Meghan McCarthy who is the head writer. Also, Rob Renzetti has left the crew to work for Disney Channel's "Gravity Falls" (apparently, all these rainbows were too much for him, which can be seen in his new creation).

If I were writing, I would leave out a spoken lesson, as by the episode, it'd be obvious to most viewers anyway:

 

"Sometimes it's nice to stay in a play a game with some good friends."

 

As for humans, I personally wouldn't put them in, they'd be a little jarring to the eyes in a cartoon filled with ponies. Maybe I'd do something like fairies or pixies, but no humans.

 

I'd totally write a script for it if I had some more free time, maybe I will eventually...

As for my own episode idea, how about one where Applejack starts acting strangely, going off at strange hours and coming back all sweaty. Applebloom notices this and with the help of Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo, try to track her down. It turns out that she's actually getting Rarity to teach her ballroom dancing, because it was secretly something she always wanted to do, but she was too scared of letting her family know that. In the end, the moral is to accept what other people want to do with their lives and not judge them for something that might seem silly.

 

As a side note, whenever Twilight is in a scene, her wings are always out of shot or blocked by furniture.
