This is so easy for me.. Sometimes songs are catchy or just sound really nice.

 

But there are few who can capture the atmosphere of a games' characters and story..

 

For me.. Dragon Age did just that.

 

 

 

 

Inquisition.. Fill my empty void and become as great.. Nay even better then your original "Origins".

Hands down, best soundtrack is on the Legend Of a Zelda. Maybe some Wind Waker, but mostly Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword stand as favorites for music.

Alone in the Dark had a brilliant soundtrack despite being an altogether underwhelming game

Alan Wake was another meh game that had a fantastic soundtrack

It may say the band is Old Gods of Asgard but they're a fictional band in the game. The real life band is Poets of the Fall. I know I've been posting a lot of their songs to the forums lately but I will not apologise for it - they're just too good.

Might this be the soundtrack of a game that has ever been?

 

Man I wished they used that guy for the Space Marine ost,If you notice one thing about the soundtracks its that there is almost NO choir at ALL.But back to Doyle,his tracks for DOW II were average with some shiners,Chaos Rising had good ones,and Retribution recycled most of its tracks from them,but the music he created for Retribution really showed that he had really hit the mark,I hope that he composes any futre W40k games,he would have made better music for space marine imo.

 

Too lazy to post the video,but the entire Deus ex soundtrack (the original,but Human revolution isnt far behind) is one of the best.

Its nearly impossible to find the original verson of the main theme,they've all been replaced with teh live orchestral verison.
